Only details I know that it wasn't a suicide he just jumped off the 421 bridge, that's like a popular thing to do for teenagers, so many have done it and was successful, I've never heard of anyone drowning from jumping off so something had to go wrong when he did it

It is popular, and jumping off bridges or cliffs is also a lot more dangerous than most people realize (especially kids). I don’t know how high the drop is there, but anything over 15-20 feet starts getting risky depending on how you hit the water, and the risk climbs exponentially as the height increases from there.  And unlike a swimming pool, if you experience an injury or problem and go under you’re done, because no one else can see where you are. So sad.

I'm Glad we Rebel Fans don't have to worry about our Coach saying anything derogatory about the other Team ...before or after the Game .  You DB guys would do the same thing if Derek had said a few negative things about your team .

Not sure where and when the supposedly negative stuff was said, but the article in the Kingsport paper was full of quotes from Christian talking about how great Maryville is and what a challenge it will be, so the stuff is cherry picked out of context, assuming it's not made up entirely.  I don't think it will have any impact on the game either way.

Sorry - I read the letter and the contact tracing timeline request seemed odd to me.  Maybe I read it wrong

I don't think you understand how the contract tracing is supposed to work. It goes back 48 hours prior to when to a positive test occurred. I'm guessing they didn't do that or they would have provided the documentation of it.

There are some McMinn Co. Karen’s that are blaming the anonymous call on Maryville in the ole Facebook. Karen said they were set up to beat Maryville. She forgot how we shut their offense out at their place.

Pretty funny, but where has it been established (besides internet rumors) that there was an anonymous call?  McMinn's coach said they found out about a positive test on the way to the game.  I'm assuming he's not talking about from an anonymous caller.

Okay last thing I'm going to say..if the TSSAA decides that DB can't go on on the playoffs for any reason, it will be a travesty..DB has done nothing wrong in this situation..they were warming up on the field ready to play with no covid positive tests when they found out other team got a call that a player tested positive. Then the government offices get involved and all heck breaks loose. Seems to me that it wouldn't take too long for whatever paperwork the TSSAA needed could of got done Saturday morning and if it was Mcminn had done nothing wrong the game could've been played Saturday night. Don't tell me it could not of been done Saturday morning if they really wanted it to. If TSSAA rules Db can't advance then Bernard Children's needs to come himself to tell them why they can't advance even though done nothing wrong

No matter how bad the TSSAA is, surely the man shouldn't have to send his children out to explain things. ☺️

Interesting,  given that the SCDH representative wouldn't  even look at the documents presented ito them according to witnesses who were on the field.

And, again. I don't fault DB here.  The issue seems to have been  an overreacting County health department official.

Seems odd they would even have documents when McMinn's coach said they found out about the positive test on the way up to the game, but who knows. Lots of non-factual stuff flying around I'm sure.
