  1. Maybe that explains why WKPT has the Science Hill v Union game on right now.
  2. Anyone know if the game is being streamed and if so where?
  3. No one is blaming the refs for penalties. DB usually has a ton of penalties they shouldn’t. These refs suck. Both can be true. And btw add the fumbled lateral they just called an incomplete pass to the list. This crew is bad.
  4. Lol don’t think I’ve ever seen a team awarded a fumble recovery where they not only didn’t recover the ball but didn’t even touch the ball. Then just now a kid caught a pass at the 40, got drilled immediately and shoved back to the 38, which is where these clowns marked it.
  5. It is popular, and jumping off bridges or cliffs is also a lot more dangerous than most people realize (especially kids). I don’t know how high the drop is there, but anything over 15-20 feet starts getting risky depending on how you hit the water, and the risk climbs exponentially as the height increases from there. And unlike a swimming pool, if you experience an injury or problem and go under you’re done, because no one else can see where you are. So sad.
  6. North, South, and almost all of Central.
  7. Yeah if I'd been told our yards and first downs before the game I would have felt really optimistic. But then I would have remembered our pass defense. ☹️
  8. Not sure where and when the supposedly negative stuff was said, but the article in the Kingsport paper was full of quotes from Christian talking about how great Maryville is and what a challenge it will be, so the stuff is cherry picked out of context, assuming it's not made up entirely. I don't think it will have any impact on the game either way.
  9. So what's the story on streaming? NFHS only?
  10. DB has a pretty good team and a very good OL, but IMO to have a chance we have to play very close to our absolute best in all phases, while Maryville turns the ball over say 4 or 5 times. In other words, very unlikely. But that's why you play the games.
  11. I don't think you understand how the contract tracing is supposed to work. It goes back 48 hours prior to when to a positive test occurred. I'm guessing they didn't do that or they would have provided the documentation of it.
  12. It seemed unlikely from the get go that they had done proper contact tracing on the kid who tested positive, or there would have been some other players in quarantine. They didn't have the proof because it wasn't done IMO. Not the kids' fault though and still a crappy way to end their season.
  13. Probably wouldn't be the first time someone hired a lawyer to vindicate their right to get beat up, but I'd think it is fairly unusual.
  14. Pretty funny, but where has it been established (besides internet rumors) that there was an anonymous call? McMinn's coach said they found out about a positive test on the way to the game. I'm assuming he's not talking about from an anonymous caller.
  15. No matter how bad the TSSAA is, surely the man shouldn't have to send his children out to explain things. ☺️
  16. Seems odd they would even have documents when McMinn's coach said they found out about the positive test on the way up to the game, but who knows. Lots of non-factual stuff flying around I'm sure.
  17. The positive was a player. The coach's point was that the player did not travel with the team to DB.
  18. The Kpt school superintendent said the local health Dept was told by the state health Dept of a positive test on the McMinn team. If that is true it's hard to see how DB gets tagged with the loss.
