According to the TSSAA they will align the brackets to make sure no two teams will play each other in the first round from the same district so that could change placement regardless of seed. Then they will use the tie breaker system as follows for seeding]greatest number of victories against teams with a .500 record or greater[/b]

    4. team whose opponents have the greatest number of victories

    5. team whose opponents have the least number of defeats

    6. total wins of the opponents of teams defeated

    7. teams with the greatest number of victories in their classification

........and then about 40 more things.

So if we both run the table #3 should decide it and as of right now (although that could change with 2 games left in the season)Camden would be #1' date=' Milan #2. Milan would have homefield advantage until/if they were to meet up with Camden, then it would be at Camden.

But...that's all a big if. We still have to TCB this friday before any of this could take place.[/quote']

I must read it different that you - acccording to the TSSAA website we have 5 and you have 4. At least that is way I think I see it. Tell me if I wrong on stats.

You are exactly right...I was too lazy to look it up, I was going by an article in the Jackson Sun a week or so ago but things have changed since then. Looks like the only way Camden gets #1 seed straight up is if they 1. beat Creekwood and 2. Crockett Co beats you guys. If we both lose it will go to the next tie breaker and that is opponents total # of wins and that could change alot with 2 games left for most everyone.

See Bulldog now you can root for the Lions with a clear conscience since Milan controls their own destiny. I knew I'd find a way to pull you over to the Lion's side of the fence in this one. :thumb:

The field is his job from what I hear!! Sounds like a sweet deal for sure. I will say when we played there last year that field looked awesome. Of course that was before the Purple Bulldozers got on it. LOL - Just kidding

I know... I keep trying to swing a deal to see if he can be my off season yard guy but he never returns my calls for some reason. :roflol:

Hopefully with a win this week the Guys in Purple will have another shot down the road at ruining Coach's handy work :o

Just for discussion between you and I what are they tiebreakers that would determine homefield if both of us run the table and are in the same quad?

According to the TSSAA they will align the brackets to make sure no two teams will play each other in the first round from the same district so that could change placement regardless of seed. Then they will use the tie breaker system as follows for seeding:

    1. head to head

    2. number of wins

3 greatest number of victories against teams with a .500 record or greater

    4. team whose opponents have the greatest number of victories

    5. team whose opponents have the least number of defeats

    6. total wins of the opponents of teams defeated

    7. teams with the greatest number of victories in their classification

And Camden's wing-T offense and multiple scat backs don't require cuts?? :roflol:

Remember Camden relies on speed and deception. The Lions would be hurt MUCH worse by bad field conditions than Creek Wood would. Guarantee Coach Ward will be out on the field with a squeegee, mop and bucket if necessary. That field is his baby...really, no kidding. Seriously...it's his personal pride and joy and he'll ensure it's in the best condition possible.

  5. This is how it needs to be No crap talking just predictions and info.. good job keep it up... not even monday and already 4 pages on this game WOW..

on the game i first thought camden would win by 1, but now im going to say Cw by 1 35-34 but it could easily go either way..

Both teams are obviously very good combined record of 16-1. Both deffenses very good and fast. Both offenses good and fast. Camden with the wing t more of a running team with a few play action passess sprinkeld in. Cw double slot option, but can also go 4 and 5 wide and sling it. Both with a very good GROUP of running backs not just one guy. Both Qb's can run. Cw qb # 8 has amazing stats.. Cw's qb prolly has a better arm, but camdens qb is prolly faster..

Will be a great game hope the rain stops neither team looks impressive in the rain both had trouble last friday.

    KEEP IT DRY

Don't worry, Coach Ward will do his best to keep the field in tip top shape. For the Huntingdon game the Lions were "loaned" a very effective "fan" that hovered around the field for a couple hours to ensure the best footing possible. Pray for no rain, but if so needed our country's finest will no doubt be on stand-by. :thumb:

  6. Greenbrier and Fairview were impressive wins at the time. :thumb:

at the time yes - but there seasons have proven to be average

You sir are out of your mind!!!! Greenbrier is a 6-3 football team and they will be playing Goodpasture in Week 10 for a District 9-AA Championship. That is a district that includes the likes of Goodpasture, White House, & Sycamore. I PROMISE YOU THAT WEST-TN CAN'T STACK UP WITH THAT IN ANY WAY!!!!! There is no way you can refer to Greenbrier as being a mediocre football team. It's not like Camden or Milan have beaten anyone better than Greenbrier. If so then who????? I know that the answer isn't Huntingdon or McKenzie. I have seen both of them play and I am telling you right now that Greenbrier would flat out SMACK both of them right in the mouth.

As Bulldog Fan #1 said in a later post...he's like the rest of us, West TN (or Middle TN) homers. We all tend to think our little section of the world is the best. How could we be fans if we didn't think that? Regardless...it will be decided on the field Friday night no matter what any of us homers think.

  7. thanks I appreciate it and I was born and raised in Houston Co. so believe me I know about losing seasons lol my brother-n-law is the OC for CreekWood and has been for a few years now after spending 8 or 9 years at Clarksville High so I just support where he is even though I still live n Houston Co. and since their 0-8 and have been outscored 313-30 on the year I spend my friday nights n Charlotte lol anyway lookin forward to the game and checking out the local cuisine.

Another good spot to eat is Goodwings if you like hot wings, fried chicken, chicken livers, catfish etc...really good going-to-the-game kinda food. It's on the way to the game on Hwy 641 on the left before the school. Ohanas and Raphaels are right past the school on Hwy 641. Can't miss with any of them.

We hope Creek Wood brings a large crowd...really looking forward to this one. I think Camden could use a good measuring stick and Creek Wood will be a good one.

  8. Blah Blah Blah Camden this Camden that Blah BLah I'm not tryin to make a big deal out of the classes its just the Camden fans dont want to do anything but argue CAMDEN IS RANKED #4 IN CLASS 3A if yall are that good yall SHOULD HAVE BEATEN McKenzie and Huntingdon and yall did thats all I'm saying. If CreekWood was ranked #50 in Class 4A we wouldnt be having this discussion because Camden would beat them easily, but their not their ranked #7 in 4A until the new poll comes out and BOTH TEAMS ARE GOOD LETS AGREE ON THAT its going to be an awesome game and my last point is who cares which team wins the district title because when the playoffs start we will both go our separate ways and the best of luck to Camden in 3A and the best of luck to CreekWood in 4A, and as far as a game prediction I wont give one because I'm superstitious and with a family member on the CreekWood coaching staff I dont want to possibly jinx anybody, anyway I'm making the trip friday so lets have an awesome clean game.

So I guess by your logic then Creek Wood should beat Camden no problem right? Why so defensive if Creek Wood is "supposed" to win this week because they have about 250 more kids in school ? No worries for you guys, right??

  9. I'm torn on this one - 1/2 hopes you guys win against Camden so if we run the table we would get home field thru the quarters. That would be big for the Bulldogs!!

The other side is I really like the Lions and respect Coach ward and the great job he has done since taking over the program.

Come on Bulldog fan...you know down deep you really want to pull for the Lions. Wouldn't be nearly as much fun if we met in the post season without us both being undefeated would it? Don't go over to the Dark Side now on us!

Yea I do really want to pull for you but I'd rather be in the home stands if we should be lucky enough to meet each other.

    Fair enough....

Geez this is gonna be a looooong week :thumb:

  10. Well since we want to talk about unimpressive wins, lets talk about Camden since Camden and CreekWood play in the same district they have to beat the same 6 teams and they have so far so no argument there so lets talk about non-district games Camden did beat Huntingdon and McKenzie BUT their n a lower class and since Camden is a Top 5 3A Playoff Class they should have won those games and they beat Hollow Rock Bruceton ALSO a lower class and also winless on the year and the only non-district team they beat thats in the same class is Westview which is 4-4 so a combined record of 19-15 and I'm supposed to be impressed I dont think so and CreekWoods non-district games were a loss to Dickson Co. which is 6-3 and headed to the 6A playoffs, then a win against Greenbrier same class record of 6-3, then Fairview same class record of 4-4, then Sycamore same class record of 4-4 so a combined record of 20-14, so if your going to criticize 1 team look at the other both teams have strengths both teams have faults ITS FOR THE DISTRICT TITLE THROW THE SCHEDULES AWAY ONLY THIS GAME MATTERS ITS GOING TO BE AN AWESOME GAME AND ITS GONNA BE PHYSICAL MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumb:

As much as it pains me to say it...I actually agree with special K. Throw the records out the window...what each team has done up until this point doesn't matter. Who ever wants this one more will take it. Just hoping the Lions have got their teeth and claws sharpened up cause supper this week will be "yard-bird" well done. Go LIONS!

  12. The soccer match on Tuesday night in the rain really did a number on the field and after the year ends it's going to be in awful shape considering the Cubs still have 2 more home games remaining this season. I am proud of the way that the Cubs fought tonight against one of the state's Top 5 teams in all of Class 3A. Mitchell Potts did a fine job in his 1st start as the Cubs quarterback. Thatcher Brinkley & Devin Conner both made nice blocks and both had nice grabs from their wide out positions. On defense I thought the Cubs played hard and held their own for the longest against Camden's high powered offense. #12, #9, #15, #11, & #41 are all great players for the Lions. Up front Camden is a really good football team. I thought that #74, #75, & #79 were all impact players in the trenches. For a team to be able to beat Camden this year they are going to have to be able to play physical up front as well as be able to match up with the Lions athletically. Camden could be a team that we all see playing on the Friday night of Thanksgiving Weekend. They are very good and very well coached!!!

Can't wait to see the young Cubs back in action next week at home versus Waverly Central. Only 2 more games remaining for seniors Brady White, Jameson Ragsdale, & Randall Greer. Homecoming & Senior Night. Let's make them both count boys :roflol:

HDIK...sorry I missed you. Rode with kin folk...arrived late, left early. Catch ya next year at our place. Your Cubs played with a lot of heart and the Coach had the players fired up! Good to see...they should become a force with a little more time.

  13. Camden 26

    Cheatham Co 6

Had to be the worst field condition I've seen in YEARS. Fortunate neither team had any major injuries (that I'm aware of anyway) in those kind of conditions. Not much anyone can say about this one except thank goodness it's done and let's hope that's the last mud wrestling the Lions have to do this season. Save it for the professionals in string bikinis, they are much better at it :roflol: Go LIONS!

  14. IMO, this poll looks pretty accurate, with the exception of McMinn Central. Smith Co. played their best game of the year and got less points than they did last week, I am a little confused on that. Not saying they should be in the top 10 yet, just don't understand how they could have less points than last week.

Less voters this week, just 19...I think there was 20 or 21 last week.

  15. I think we can if we can eliminate turnovers and penalties. I realize that that is cliche but it is the truth. Our closest game was McKenzie but it would have been a bit more lopsided if we don't turn the ball over. I know Milan is tough, but I think we finally have the speed to play them. I would really like to see the CC game, and I'll prolly be at the Creek Wood game. The CW will give a lot of insight to what we are capable of accomplishing.

You are definitely invited to tune in and listen to the broadcast online rcombs..........I was hoping to definitely have the opportunity to meet yourself & Lions4ever this week..........I believe Lions4ever knows one of the parents of one of softball players that I had the honor of coaching here at CCCHS this past year. She now attends Union University in Jackson and is playing softball for them :roflol:

I'm going to try my best to be there Friday if work allows...I'll be sure to look you and Steve up if I do.

  16. Camden Gets Caught Napping This Week And Cheatam Co. Pulls The Upset..................... :roflol:

At least when you dream you dream big :roflol: That would take alot of worry off you guys wouldn't it? But you might need to worry about whether your own team gets caught napping and stop your man-crush on anything having to do with Camden. It's getting kinda pathetic...

  17. Creekwood is definatly a top runner for the district title. A runner-up for the district title behind Camden! Go Lions!

Dood, You Must Be A Camden Homer And Have Not Seen A CREEKWOOD RED HAWK Performance.......Well Guess What Good Buddy We Will Be Arriving In Your Neck Of The Woods About Oct.23............Be Prepared For A Humbling Night Cause You Have Not Seen A Team Like We Will Be Bringing......Be One Of The TOUGHEST TEAMS YOU ALL HAVE PLAYED ALL YEAR........GUARANTEE IT!!!!!! :roflol:

Look who's calling someone a homer dry.gif Geez, get a life.

  18. Camden 35

    Waverly 0

If Camden ever actually plays a whole 4 quarter game they'll be dangerous. Still an awful lot of sloppy play for this late in the season. Hopefully the Lions can put together an entire game next week at Cheatham Co and go into week 9 strong. Go LIONS!
