  1. QUOTE(SCARfan1624 @ Feb 14 2007 - 01:32 PM) 826371631[/snapback]

Pigeon Forge has been overlooked as force in AA the past two years and what happened?...State Championship appearence the first year and made it to the semi-finals the next year....Yes, without a doubt, losing Cannon and the 7 seniors will be alot to overcome but they have overcome challenges before when no one thought they could.

What about the Loudon Redskins? They only lost by 1 run to PF. last year and return almost every starter but 1. Blake Cosner should be outstanding this year leading this team that will still be Junior dominate. Good luck to the Skins!! I can't wait to hear the radio broadcast!

  2. I have a question. I have looked in the rule book and do not see a definitive answer. This is a simple problem but hit us twice in a game.

2nd down and 10. QB in the pocket flushed back a bit and is tackled by his facemask for a 10 yard loss.

penalty flag insues... personal foul face mask 15 yd penalty from the end of the run.

    Its now 3rd and 5.

we had a dead ball personal foul later in the same situation. 1st and 10 qb tackled for a 10 yard loss and a dead ball unsportsmanlike conduct for a late hit made it 2nd and 5.

That seems a little strange. it should at least be from the previous spot or something, and not a loss of down for us. just couldn't get a definitive answer from the rule book

Both should have been automatic first downs. Penalty marked off from the end of the run.

  3. Loudon played a very good game Friday. Tyler Campbell was once again awesome! Does anyone know if Blake Cosner will play this week or is he done for the year with a shoulder injury? Rumor is he is out for the season. If so, the Redskins will be hurting on the line. Good luck to the SKINS and GO BIG RED!!

  4. CAK is coming off three great games whereas Loudon regains some confidence with a big blowout win over Kingston.

  5. Polk County did a great job of containing the Loudon offense.....appeared the team was ready to play....I am not sure what is going on in the ReDSKIN NATION but the coaches better get a handle on it or we have a long season remainder and a short post season if there is one....congratualtions Wildcats and I hope you take your region.

    Just a few reasons why!!!!

    1. Discipline - GONE!! There is none.

Example - Players quit one day and back the next. ('03,'04)

    2. Practice - What's the old saying? "You will play the way you practice"

    3. 2 minute offense - With players still going in motion. HELLO!!!

    4. 4th down and 1 with two very good running backs.

    5. Why does Josh Hawkins just play offense? This is not UT, it is LHS!!!!

    6. And get rid of the bandanna's, it looks like the da-- Raiders!! OOps

Maybe thats why we are playing like them?

    7. Coaches, it's time you take your hand and reach around and pull your

own head out. Before we end up 5-5. And NO that's not OK!

  6. I completely agree. Loudon never gave up. Josh Hawkins played awesome; Alcoa seemed to have trouble containing him at times. That has to be one tired young man tonight.

Congratulations to the Tornadoes! You guys have a very good team. I only wish we were as well coached as you guys. I have been watching the Redskins for a long time and I have never seen a group of coaches that can not adjust to anything!! You guys could have thrown for a thousand yards last night and until we start using a free safety (Josh Hawkins) so will everyone else! I don't understand the thinking sometimes on offense or defense for that matter. But I guess they are doing the best they can. As a true LOUDON fan, the one thing that really pi$$ed me off last night was to see the Loudon coaching staff giving up and accepting defeat!! I seen players and coaches come off the field with grins and laughter after the game. A flashback of Harig's first two years!! Players, please DO NOT accept defeat, Yes, they were the better team last night. But every Friday night you have the opportunity to be a winner!! It's up to you!! Because the coaching staff at LHS has proven to me and alot of other fans. They will accept second best! A true REDSKIN would not!! GO SKINS!!

  7. Very well said FLMS. People are amazing sometimes. I guess if he was from California that would have been just great. Josh will do some good things for the Vols in the next few years. Tennessee fans are hilarious, when it rains they want sunshine, and when it gets hot they want rain!! GO VOLS!!

  8. Loudon's 3 way scrimmage with Cocke County and Red Bank went well for the skins. I don't think the 1st team D was scored on and Josh Hawkins showed why UT came calling. Look for Tyler Campbell to have a great year alnog with Ben Everrett. The skins just play hard.

How did the offensive line do? Who are the starters? Cosner,Roberts, and Hampton, and who are the others?

  9. ooooo tim daniels and red bank are coming to town. should be very very interesting. For those of you who dont know who tim daniels is. he is loudon's previous coach. He is a very good coach that normally brings out the best in his players. He is a very intense coach.

Tim is an excellent coach that Loudon regrets losing everyday!! Politics are so stupid sometimes!!! Coach D still keeps up with the Redskins and has even attended several games. Good luck to the Lions this year! Coach D you are a class act and may the Redskins wish you the best of Luck this year! See ya Friday!!

  10. Just wonderin, does anyone know who loudon will scrimmage at the end of this week. I had heard that their will be 3 or four teams show up. If so who are they and what will the out comes be.

The Redskins will host Red Bank and Cocke Co. this Friday. Next Thursday Meigs Co. and Friday the jamboree. The following week I think it is supposed to be Fulton on Thursday. Good luck to Skins and congratulations to Josh Hawkins!!

  11. Loudon has that stud tailback.

I wouldn't say stud, but a couple of good horses to ride! Actually they have two very good tailbacks in Josh Hawkins and Tyler Campbell. Our biggest loss from last year will be a three year starting QB. Replacing his leadership will be hard. Look for Blake Cosner and Dustin West to step it up in the O/L and D/L. Once again, getting past the Tornadoes will be tough. Looking forward to another great season!! GO REDSKINS!!

  12. We need to go back to districts in football. Two districts per region and top team plays the second team in the other district in Week 10. Now you have eliminated one round of the playoffs. You are over before December. Basketball can't play its first game until December 1 and must finish regular season play by end of February. Do the exact same as football play round 1 on Tuesday and round 2 Thursday of the first week of March. Then go Monday and Saturday the week to finish up. The third and fourth weeks of March everyone does spring football. Then Spring sports go and ends by May 31. Legislate maximum number of practices each sport can demand during the summer. Keep the dead period the same.

I like how they are considering limiting number of kids from the same school playing on AAU teams together.

    Riverrat for Executive Director, LOL.

Football's first game the first week in September. State finals Second week of December. Basketball's first game in January, pre-season Christmas Tourneys if they want in Dec.? State finals by the end of March. Baseball's first game in April and play through Mid-June.State finals by end of June. Just like the College World Series! JULY - DEAD PERIOD. Football practice on August 1st, 4 weeks to prepare for first game. Kids would have 4 weeks of nothing but their choice! Could play every sport if they wanted to! Just a thought.

  13. shsbsbll33- AC's lack of pitching has now aloud them to win another and stay alive beating ND 10-3 with Chesney pitching a beautiful game. So i guess AC lack of pitching is not so bad after all saying their is only 4 AA teams left in the state.

Congratulations Maverick's. The Redskin Nation wishes you all the best of luck. We may be rivals but we are still pulling for you guys!! Keep Ripping the Baseball!!

  14. 16u quality catcher and hitter, new to the area this year. experienced travel ball player from southwest ohio, looking to join a good summer team. familiar with all the the travel ball reqirements and demands.

Several good teams in Knoxville area. Knoxville Yard, Thunder, Stars, Impact. The Tennessee Bulldogs in Loudon. Several to choose from and all very competitive teams.

  15. Great game from start to finish, by two outstanding teams.

Great game!! Congratulations to Anderson County and good luck tomorrow! I hope we both are victorious and get to the Boro'. It really doesn't matter if we are rivals or not, the Redskins will be pulling for you guys and we hope you will be doing the same for us. Both of these teams have some great players and sometimes we all lose sight of what really matters. It's all about the players!! So good luck Mavs, we hope to see you in the STATE Finals!! GO REDSKINS!!!

  16. Great game by both teams. At first both pitchers AC Byrge and Gibbs Housewright were both sitting people down left and right. AC had one good inning at the plate scoring 4 which was all Byrge needed to take the victory. Gibbs played a great ball game and were very classy. Now on the other had AC host Loudon tonight at 6:00 where classy is not in their vocabulary. I am sure tonight will be very heated between these two teams.

First of all if you want to show some class, keep your loud mouth mamma's and daddy's on your side of the stands. Nothing worse than a bunch of fat women trying to be cheerleaders. Now, with that being said. I hope tonights game is a very well played game by both teams and decided on the field by the players. Both of these teams are very good and I hope they both go to the state tourn. next week. I think we could both represent east tn. very well. Good luck to both teams and please, let's both show a little sportmanship!

  17. What is wrong with the redskins this year? None of that luck left over from the state last year I guess, and has anyone herd what the two seniors from 05 aredoing now? (Everette & Worley)

The Redskins are 22-8 right now. I don't think that is to bad in the district they play in. 3 of those losses are to very good top ranked AAA teams. The skins will be just fine as long as they continue to hit the baseball. No they don't have that 1-2 punch from last year, but they are scoring runs when they have to. If this team ever puts it all together they could very well end up in the 'Boro. Good Luck REDSKINS!!

  18. CAK wins 2-0 over Loudon, the warriors came to play.

Freshman for CAK took Loudon's top pitcher deep early for a 2 run lead that they didn't give up.

    Good game by both teams!

Actually it was a solo HR. The first run was a gimme on the error at third base. 300 ft. is not very deep. If he hits the same ball Thursday @ Loudon he's out. Did he trip over first base or get knocked down by the first basemen? We looked up and he was rolling on the ground! How embarassing. CAK played a good game and the pitcher is very good. Should be a good game @ Loudon on Thursday! GO REDSKINS!!

  19. CAK beat Loudon tonight 2-0. Thompson threw well for Loudon, but he was outdone by CAK's freshman lefty Keenan Kolinsky. He had 9 K's and just 1 walk. CAK's young team (only 2 or 3 upperclassmen start) is growing up quickly. They've had a very tough schedule and should be a dangerous team to face in the postseason. District 4-AA is very tough and very even.

What a lot of people don't realize about Loudon is they are also very young. Last years State team only started 2 seniors and this year they only start 3 seniors. Loudon will be competitive for a while. This years district tournament will be a good one! Good luck to all! GO REDSKINS!!
