The vast majority of metro coaches drive several kids home every day. We always organized the kids by their neighborhood and each coach had a group. Most metro schools have a late bus.
Don't criticize what you don't understand.

Is it possible for Overton to return to power ... YES
With Boome as coach I feel that the program will be rejuvenated. I See them getting more kids in their zone in keeping all that talent that lives in South Nashville.

After 3 years of no home games this is a weird time to Retire.I have heard the new facilities are going to be great.

How can Maplewood, Hunters Lame, and Whites Creek be void of players? Never would have thought so but it's true.

Sw went 2-18his last 2 seasons,he deserved what he got.

Come home Chris Simpson...

Who withdrew and for what reason?

Work, heard there is a shakeup with the interviews. Your thoughts?

As long as principals are doing the hiring we will have problems. If you look at who our coaches are look deeper at who the principals are that hired them. Which current principals in metro are fit to hire head football and basketball coaches?

The biggest problem......
where is Scott Brunette?

Looks like it's time for the yearly shuffle among head coaches in metro
-
Interviews set yet?

In mnps:
Brandon Woods
Pearl Cohn
Anthony Brown Hillsboro
Mose Phillips Cane Ridge
All 3 would make solid head coaches in the right situation

He has applied for every decent job the last three years. He wants out of the 200 day Maplewood gig.
He has applied for exactly 3 jobs in the 17 years he has been a head coach at McGavock and Maplewood.

Overton and Hunters Lane are now open
Not too long ago these were the best two jobs in the system

Hardtackle, this recruiting you speak of is not new. Maplewood was referred to in the 70s as the north east Nashville all Stars because of their success with special transfers. What is different now? Another reason to root for Overton, they have never been accused of such tactics.

I coached against coaches Coutras, Mullican and Anderson. Throughout all those years Overton was always tough, fundamentally sound, and hard to beat. The last 2 coaches did not field the same quality of teams. This is why I ask what coach can restore the tradition. After moving from the sideline to the bleachers, I would like to see Overton return to prominence.

The only coach mentioned by name so far that would be good is Terry Anderson. The others have had their chance and did not cut it. They are all right where they need to be.
So who is your top 3?

Bleacher I'm not sure. It's been open three times now since Anderson left. Morrison wasn't interested the first two times so I doubt he is now but I wish he was.
I've heard several names mentioned. One current assistant on staff, one current metro head coach, and two former metro head coaches. I hope Overton gets a good one. Bleacher who would be your top three if you were hiring?
1. Morrison
2. That head coach you mentioned
3. Baskin
+unless TA could be convinced to return

What's going on at Hillsboro? Haven't heard anything in the longest. Hope they make a decision soon so Spring practice can be salvaged.
