  1. Lenoir City qualified with one runner with a huge injury that should be healed up by Friday. They are a little slower than last year, but have a lot of heart and determination. Coming in under the radar works out well---look at last year's results!
  2. You are right. BHS has more than just a Grace brother and Bearden is known for their relays. Don't take it personally! Can't we all just get a long? I was responding to your comment on Ryan's time. You weren't there to see how smoothly he ran and then most of their relay team. Anyone that saw him run the last leg of the 1600m relay will never forget how amazing it was. I have seen Bearden run and it would just be great to see LC compete with such an ELITE team. I wonder if any other teams have improved significantly????
  3. See you at the Vol classic, then you can talk about Hand timed.
  4. Ryan Rhodus of Lenoir City ran a 50.07 at Seymour Tuesday. He then ran fourth leg of the 4x400m in another spectacular time. Look out for LC's 1600m relay team--ChrisCo ran first leg with under 51 seconds, the second and third will improve with practice, and Ryan (state champion '05) Rhodus is running like a machine.
  5. What was wrong with Maurice at the Seymour meet? He didn't seem himself and he looked like he was limping. I know that losing the 400 so badly probably hurt, but I thought he was more of a competitor. Ryan Rhodus ran a smooth 50.07 to win and for the first meet, looks incredible.
  6. The bad calls were on both sides. The officials obviously dont' know what a holding call is as they barely called it on the big run plays Fulton made. Not to take away from what Fulton did. They brought out a big can of whoop butt for the fourth quarter. BUT! Big note to the Fulton parents...please speak with your children that attended the game about sportsmanship. There were many groups of children aged 10-13 that were going in front of the Lenoir City fans and shouting profanities. My son was told to get his "f"ing blank home" on the bus by the same age range kids. It's important to win nice as well. These kids were too young to be dropoffs and that kind of idiocy doesn't make your fab-u team as fab-u as they could be. I hope we represented well in our support and I take absolutely nothing away from the Fulton Falcons. I do want to say that Lenoir City has nothing to be ashamed of, they played their hearts out and made it much further than anyone thought they could. The senior boys have been through tremendous hardship and worked hard and stuck with it even when they were getting beaten down by everyone. They showed GREAT sportsmanship and played well. My hat is off to Coach White and all his staff for a wonderful season and it was thrilling to watch. The boys were well coached and completely disciplined and that can be traced right to the coaching staff. Good luck Fulton.
  7. Agreed, panthergirl! I didn't understand that post and let it go, but that is an odd thing to say.
  8. Yes, watch out for punt and kick returns! Just plain watch out. Keep talking about harder hitters on Fulton's side, I need a big laugh this morning. Love Bucks comments about how he doesn't have to pump up his team on this game because we all know that the bigger your head is, the harder you will fall baby! This will definitely be a fun one to watch.
  9. Yes I am spunky! Luck had nothing to do with it. Hope not to see lightening, but as far as striking twice are you talking about Fulton going to state? hmmmmmmmmm.....
  10. Thanks for your concern on my lack of spine... No whining, just calling it like I see it. Read through all the posts for Fulton and make your own call. I will support my team and hope for a good effort from both sides so it is an entertaining game. Now you go have fun.
  11. Oh yeah, you respect! Comments about making Hightower, and how LC only won because yall had an off night, and meeting up with AE prove you respect. Don't back off of what you say, stand by it. Total up all the comments by your fans and how nasty they are and then take a good look at EVERY other team and tell me which team is talking more than they are playing. Anyway, it will be a fun game and I am sure the team will be prepared to play on the cold wet rain soaked field. Fulton is not the only team wanting to prove something.
  12. It will be cold on each sideline, so there goes that theory. I hope you are not implying poor sportsmaship from LC, because that would be ill-advised. I just think it will be a much closer match up than the major league posters and posers that are Fulton fans think. It was no fluke--yeah, they got big heads, but it appears that y'all do too. All of a sudden, you are focused on this game, but you know you are looking past to AE--if they make it past Seymour. Anything can happen on any field any day. One team will win, one team will lose. I just hear a lot of disrespect out of your side and overlooking a team that obviously has talent. If that is what it takes to pump you up, okay. No excuses from this side.
  13. Yes, speed kills and LC has it as well. I wonder which team will have something to prove... the team that everyone is picking, or the team that has everything to prove? I don't think it will be a blow-out, but I do think that the big playmakers will be on the field and will be ready to make things happen.
