I said a lot, not only. And what two games were that? Unicoi and Central? And as for talking smack I try not to. If you go and read some of my earlier posts they are mostly just simple questions and comments until someone like RebelRaider insults players on here. Like Ryan Shaw for example.

Lets put it this way. I didn't no who Maurice Whitten was until this year. He mostly played Defensive End on second string but this year he was moved to Wing Back.

Non-conference I don't know. Sullivan North will be in the MLC but they won't be difficult. Yes in a scrimmage but around here teams come to play whether it's a scrimmage or an actual game. Both of the starting teams played the first 2 quarters then in the 3rd Quarter the 2 second string teams played. Final Score THS 21 Powell Valley 7

Well if you consider Maryville to be superman, THS is Maryville's Kryptonite

Maryville played Morristown West twice. It seems that they would have been prepared to go against a team that they have already faced. We had to go on the fly.

They were on the team last year but with the exception of Marcus Nidiffer and Brandon Anderson a lot of them didn't get any playing time.

"THS should have scheduled someone like Gate City, D B or Cloudland . Couldn't have messed up the schedule that much." If your referring to the 2003 season, maybe but Tennessee did play Powell Valley and they beat Gate City. Sullivan East was 0-10 two of those 5 years that Cloudland beat them.

No disrespect to Boodle Clark, but Mo Whitten, Major Canty, and Brandon Anderson are better players.

Read some of the above posts. You have got to be kidding me if you think Cloudland is good. 1A football everywhere is weak. With the exception of Baylor, Tennessee High is the only team EVER from the state of tennessee to be declared National Champions. They were declared National Champs the year after we beat them 39-6 in the State Championship.

Yeah but teams play a little different in the playoffs and against a team that has never beaten them before.

If you can talk to people who are connected with football, try talking to coaches and officials in the Lonesome Pine District when Tennessee High beat State Champion hopefuls Powell Valley in a scrimmage.

I believe two were for holding the backfield as they were scoring the touchdowns and the other one was called because Nidiffer crossed the line of scrimmage as he threw it.

Whip any team? Well they didn't play any team that the Vikings faced, but they did play the 3rd place team in Region 2. The score was 31-14. Over here that's not a blowout, especially against a 5-6 team that has absolutely no depth. Central used the shotgun? Well let them use the shotgun against Tennessee High. East beat Greeneville almost as much as Central and look what happened to them when they came using the shotgun. I'm not going to say anything about the tailbacks. I hope they are alright and ready to go. Tennessee High has been ready since the playoffs started. All in all, I don't care if they could whip any team THS has also whipped. They are not THS. I'm still proud of the Vikings wheter they win or not. You have faced a lot of adversity this season, including an incident that was low and cold hearted in the last game of the regular season. Best of luck to Tennessee and Maryville. One of you two better win state.

I believe it was Elizabethton in the Semifinals in '97 or '98. They said Elizabethton was leading then Maryville came back and won. Some of the radio announcers up here said Maryville has a habit of falling behind and then come back late in the game. That comeback with 40 seconds to go proved it.

I was suprised to hear that Central was winning 17-14 at some point. I thought the guy I heard it from was just talking to build everyone up to face Maryville. But that most have been exciting to comeback with only 40 seconds to go. Central is probably feeling worse about the game since they were winning with 40 seconds to go.

Aw man I loved it when THS would play Gate City. Do you remember that 6'9" QB that Gate City had?I think his name was Josh Shoemaker?

Our rivalries are of course with Virginia High ever since the two schools have existed. I think we've played every year except during World War 2. Then, Sullivan East, but it has been lopsided for the past 34 years. Friday Night Lights should be good. It has gotten good reviews.

I just thought I would point this out. In the photo gallery in the Tennessee High part, there are photos of Tennessee playing Johnson Co. but the title says Elizabethton vs. Tennessee.
