I payed tuition to go to Alcoa and play sports and in turn went to two state championships in basketball and won a state championship in football. So if I was a multi-sport player and wanted to compete for championships in all sports I would definately go to Alcoa. And the day is coming soon where strictly football players will choose Alcoa. (Alcoa has 1 or 2 less state championships than Maryville).

I was at that game and it wasn't exactly what you said. The game was by far over when Rockwood scored their only touchdown and then decided to kick and onsider with 2 min left. The recovered the onside kick and then in turn gave the ball back to Alcoa on a fumble. So Rockwood was still playing with 2 min left, why cant Alcoa? Plus Alcoa scored with a lot of their third teamers in there and Rockwood still had their starters in. So that is not the reason why Heritage took Alcoa off of their schedule. In actuality the rumors about Heritage and WB were going around the stadium during the game.

Well that 2a team called Alcoa normally dominates any other team in any classification except for maryville. Alcoa'a tradition, pride, and atheletes started winning state championships before the classifications even came into play. I think that it is sad that 4 and 5a teams can't even compete with a school that has 400 kids max.
