so I thought I would go ahead and get this one started, because we all know its coming. But I also figured I would go ahead and save everyone the time and trouble, because its going to be useless trying to predict this game, because they are both so good. Its really going to come down to who plays their best game on friday, which we wont know until a week from right now. Gaston Miller will give the Cavs trouble, but CHS always seems to come up with just enough big plays, as they did against WC. GOOD LUCK CAVALIERS!!

No one can touch texas football with california coming in second, but this year's Riverdale team could compete in the state of georgia. The difference is that Georgia has several teams at Riverdale's level every year, while Tennessee only has one or two each year. I got to see the 5A state championship game two years ago (parkview (the riverdale of GA) and northside warner robins) and the 2004 warriors could have given either school a close game.

disgustedfan, you are right that on paper, riverdale has the better team, and yes odds are probably in riverdale's favorite. that being said it is ridiculous to call fuggly and cav43 losers. first of all we are all rooting for the same thing, and second of all i had the privilege to play with both of these guys for a couple of years and they are anything but losers. You say that the only people who would predict a cavalier victory are cav fans with their head in the sand, but my reply is that some of us have given to much to the cav program to turn around and pick against them. Maybe we are being overly optimistic and unobjective, to which ill agree, but HS football is not an objective game. Its a game about heart, passion, and desire. and my heart is with the cavalier team, so they are my pick. riverdale may prove to be to much for the cavs but until then, no one can convince me that the cavs wont win.

cookevilles defense is so good its hard to see this game being a blowout, unless cookeville makes stupid mistakes (turnovers, allowing punt return for touchdown). A great defense like Joslin has this year can always make a game interesting and im looking for my boys from cookeville to pull off an upset down at tomahawk stadium. I realize that riverdale probably has better athletes, but i cant pick against my own team. Good luck Cookeville, I'll be there cheering for you 100%. And WC Dogg, i wouldnt spend so much time talking negatively about a team that handled you in the first round. THere is a reason cookeville is 11-1 and still playing and you guys are finished and that reason is cookeville is good.
