I respect your comments, and maybe Dunn is faster than Gulmire. But you're missing my point. Toughness alone...never quitting...never giving up...will allow a player without sprinter's speed to make it at the DI level. Let me ask you this, if they were the same age, who would you rather have at TN...Gerald Riggs or Spencer Gulmire? I would rather have Gulmire. At least he's tough.
As cute as that halftime speech is, I can see where you're coming from talking about heart, courage, and determination but you've got to look at the facts. I'm not one to bash Gulmire because he's a great RB and has many impressive stats to consider, but comparing him to college running backs like Travis Henry? Travis Henry rushed for 436 yards on 21 carries in highschool, Travis Stephens broke all of Herschel Walker's rushing records at Charlotte Independence High School, Cedric Houston had 97 career TD's at his highschool in Arkansas. Gulmire is good, but he's not GREAT. You make many valid points, but comparing him to college and NFL running backs is absurd.

If I wanted to see some necks fight I would've went down to Hogwild, BUT I'd kinda like to see some interesting posts about the topic at hand, school spirt....I'm glad the schools in hicktown have enough school spirit to cuss each other out in a chat room....way to represent ur schools guys, great job. thumb

Yea the rest, only my boys up at CB know where that comes from, and if you don't know, you should. Dafuture has got mad skills predicting games, he can even predict what fans will do at their next games....I heard he predicted some bald TN high guy stormin' the court and knockin out one of the players....you heard it first from dafuture.

Yes, that was the best game by far and we all know the best student section of the night was DB's what clowns were makin up SH's chants? You guys sounded like 10 year old girls.

But without the propper trainer it won't do much good.
Then theres the coaching staffs. I know this will get some people riled-up, but it needs to be said. I don't know if we are not paying enough up here or what, but when a upper east tn. team hits the playoffs against a team west of here, seems like we always get out coached (badly).

Ok, here goes...I am in no way sayin we beat RIVERDALE. So this year, we beat all your sorry 5A butts and get beat by Riverdale in round 4. Yes, Oak Ridge beat us in a scrimmage in pre-season. It's a srimmage though.
We could beat OR, Soddy, Ooltewah, maybe DB and Farragut....no problem. i have no way of proving this. All I have is my opinion and the opinions of SEVERAL 5A fans.

You got to be kidding me, you played TN high in the semi finals...you came close to losing to Central...you can talk all you want, but until you actually BEAT a 5a team, in a GAME, then you can talk. Maryville has been talkin about comin to 5a for years....and theyre still playin TN high and Central in the playoffs...i wish you would come to 5a and get slammed by any of many teams.

The more Riverdale wins, the more I dislike them, haha. One of these days DB will meet with Riverdale and it will be the battle of the titans. I think that DB was the only team that could've beet Riverdale, only because Riverdale hasn't seen a passing game as strong as ours. Next year, or maybe the next when I'm a senior, I hope to play them.

But I have watched MAryville the past few years at MTSU, since they usually play right before us. They have put teams on the field that could play with anyone. This year, I don;t think they win 5A, but they easily could have been playing the Warriors tonight.
I've Also seen Maryville play, and yes they are good, and yes they'd probably make the playoffs, but never say they'd be shooting for the title.

Hey Skunk... got an injury report from the Science Hill game? I think the Indians came out of that game in good shape, the only question I have is how is #67 Daniel Kilgore? I saw him down once and was helped off the field, but he did go back in.
