As cute as that halftime speech is, I can see where you're coming from talking about heart, courage, and determination but you've got to look at the facts. I'm not one to bash Gulmire because he's a great RB and has many impressive stats to consider, but comparing him to college running backs like Travis Henry? Travis Henry rushed for 436 yards on 21 carries in highschool, Travis Stephens broke all of Herschel Walker's rushing records at Charlotte Independence High School, Cedric Houston had 97 career TD's at his highschool in Arkansas. Gulmire is good, but he's not GREAT. You make many valid points, but comparing him to college and NFL running backs is absurd.

Yes, that was the best game by far and we all know the best student section of the night was DB's what clowns were makin up SH's chants? You guys sounded like 10 year old girls.

But without the propper trainer it won't do much good. Then theres the coaching staffs. I know this will get some people riled-up, but it needs to be said. I don't know if we are not paying enough up here or what, but when a upper east tn. team hits the playoffs against a team west of here, seems like we always get out coached (badly). You got to be kidding me, you played TN high in the semi finals...you came close to losing to Central...you can talk all you want, but until you actually BEAT a 5a team, in a GAME, then you can talk. Maryville has been talkin about comin to 5a for years....and theyre still playin TN high and Central in the playoffs...i wish you would come to 5a and get slammed by any of many teams.

The more Riverdale wins, the more I dislike them, haha. One of these days DB will meet with Riverdale and it will be the battle of the titans. I think that DB was the only team that could've beet Riverdale, only because Riverdale hasn't seen a passing game as strong as ours. Next year, or maybe the next when I'm a senior, I hope to play them.

I've Also seen Maryville play, and yes they are good, and yes they'd probably make the playoffs, but never say they'd be shooting for the title.

HA, Maryville is good...but they're not that good. Don't flatter yourself by saying they'd be shooting for the title. For God sakes you all played TN High in the semifinals. I would like to see Maryville move up though, just so they could be put in place by the big dogs.
