  1. Waco.......I wish you would surprise me just once and be supportive before the game. I'm used to reading your horse pooh after we've fought hard and lost......but to bet before the first pitch just lets me know that you're not a DB fan at all.....not really......not when it matters! I hope if any of the players read this before the game they ignore you and play with pride!!!!!!!! The pride a real DB fan has win or lose!
  2. DB LOST THE FIRST GAME.....WON THE SECOND....PLAY TWO TOMORROW!
  3. It never ceases to amaze me how determined fans of other teams are to run DB down. Sure we have some fans like ART that like to light up this board...but the majority of our fans never go to the lengths that some of you guys do to rub it in. My granny would say it's that ole green monster. It's true that things didn't go our way in the playoffs this year........we may never win a state championship....but you know it's sad that fellow upper east tennessee residents would rather see someone from another district beat us just so they can rant about us " choking". Buddies......we didn't choke. The players or coaches didn't rate us *1. They just went out there every Friday night and gave it their all. They have made the best of friends, the best of memories, they can hold their head high and know that they represent a school that they can be proud of. I for one fan will not come on the other threads and give South or any other school from this area crap if they loose. I wish each one the best of luck. Most of you fellows are jerks who just don't understand what it takes to be real winners.....OFF the field. So get a life and better yet.....go pick on somebody that gives a rat's butt what you think. I don't care.....but it galls me to think some of our players might read your crap. Did any of you ever play on a team that was undeafeated in regular season? Did any of you win a state championship? I rest my case. We love you......INDIANS.....best of luck in whatever road you choose!
  4. Chomp......You're the Man! It's nice to know some of us love the Indians rain or shine. You must be doing something right when so many people relish in the thought that you just might "fail". This group of young men and coaches can't do that........they have already had a winning season and regardless how far they go in the playoffs that can't be taken away from them. They respect each other even if the competition and some fans don't!
  5. Maroon.....you are exactly right....I wasn't talking about the article. The same sportswriter seems to have been on certain bandwagons even before the season started....could be me 'cause I'm an Indian fan. I hope all the doomsayers are wrong this year and the Indians pull it out. If not......I guarantee it won't be from lack of heart.....but I do guarantee there will be a bunch of happy people that will surely never let us live it down.
  6. The scenic route to Campbell Co. Take 11W to Bean Station hit 25E toward LMU...take right at the red light toward LMU at the end of 25E......take a left onto 63 toward LaFollette....stay on that road for about 25 miles.....school will be on your left....leaves should be great!
  7. It was great honoring all the seniors at J.Fred on Friday night. Great bunch of young men. Looking forward to the drive over the mountains to Camp.Co. I'm sure the Indians will treat this game like all the rest. Camp. Co. always proves to be a very entertaining place to be. Question: Did anyone feel the same way I did when they read the article about the standings on TriCitiesSports?........I believe the reporter used 3 buts and 3 ifs in his analysis of DB's chances......I compare this to the way he reports about other teams and it seems he doesn't give the Indians a whole lot of respect. There have been other areas that other schools/positions seem to get obvious kudoos.....but that's his right. I just wish the Indians the best for the rest of their season....Halloween with the Hilltoppers should be fun! You guys have tremendous hearts and I believe as I'm sure the Indian fans do....that you guys can git r dun.......round one, two, three....regardless who you play.............we are behind you all the way!!!! Roll Tribe Roll!
  8. I agree with TNViking.....it's over! Enjoyed the game....both side played hard...both teams showed great sportsmanship. More than I can say for some of the fans on this site. Good luck to both of these teams for the rest of the season.
  9. Just wanted to add to what Catfish said......the DB defensive unit is a great bunch of guys who want to give it their all every game. Do they want to hit hard and often? Sure! Do they go out there saying they want to inflict pain? Sure! Do they want to really injure any other players? No way. When the player was quoted I feel sure he meant take him out of "his" game......not the way it seemed in print. What we need to remember is that these players are being interviewed after games and they are excited and sometimes what they say is taken totally out of context. DB fans hope JC's running back a speedy recovery and our prayers are also with Brandon, Zack, John Mark, and Nathan. Here's to an injury free season.........the rest of it anyway! Roll Tribe! We're proud of you!
  10. Burton got clearance today and should be practicing as of this moment. It will be Coach Clark's decision as to who plays. We have been lucky to have had three guys who have played well, but I agree with others that we need to try to stick with 1 (barring further injuries) and let our offense build up some confidence. It can't be easy on the line or any of the offense with the changes and the constant talk of this year's offense compared to last year's. I know VanDalay is a great supporter, but his comments in comparing quarterbacks couldn't be a positive if they happen to read this site. Maybe they don't. I wish the Indians the best against JC and in the playoffs. I hope the easy game against CC doesn't come back to bite us in the tail. The defense has been a wonder to watch, now let's all get behind our offense and roll tribe roll!!!!!!
  11. Just a little note to AMQRock.....as I do agree with you in that the band does need to put their competitions first...please don't speak for the players in saying that they don't care if the band is there are not cause "it ain't so!" Everybody knows the presence of fans and a band, especially the DB Band, is a huge boost to the players. So.......NA>>>NA>>>NA>NA>NA>NA!
  12. MAY GOD COMFORT THE JOHNSON FAMILY AND THE INDEPENDENCE COMMUNITY . OUT PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU. KINGSPORT DOBYNS BENNETT INDIAN FOOTBALL
  13. I HAVE TO AGREE WITH ITSJUSTAGAME.....GREAT SPORTSMANSHIP SHOWN BY THE OR COACH ON THE LAST PLAY OF THE GAME. BOTH TEAMS WERE GREAT TO WATCH. I WAS THRILLED THAT DB STAYED IN THE GAME AND PLAYED WITH TREMENDOUS HEART....HAVING HEARD ALL THE NEGATIVES THROWN THEIR WAY THIS SEASON. THE DEFENSE WAS TERRIFIC....OR'S #1 WAS A HARD RUNNER....GIVE HIM HIS DUE. I BELIEVE THINGS MIGHT HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT IF WE HAD GONE FOR THE 1ST DOWN ON OUR FIRST SERIES OF PLAYS....WHO KNOWS? THE PUNT RETURN BY #2 stunk THE LIFE OUT OF US A LITTLE, BUT WE NEVER GAVE UP. OUR DEFENSE WILL REMAIN THE BEST AND OUR OFFENSE WILL ONLY GET BETTER...WE'RE RUNNING BETTER AND THE PASS RECEPTIONS WILL COME. GOOD JOB.... CODY SENSABAUGH AND WE HOPE JOSEF THROP IS IS BACK FOR FRIDAYS GAME.
  14. I must say I feel a little better about the Oak Ridge game after tonight's Bearden game. I liked the way Coach Clark got more of the players on offense and the defense played really well, as usual. I will have to say that I was disappointed to hear one of last year's players saying to a cheerleader after the game, "wait till those Ridgers get ahold of them next week." Boo....and you know who you are. I'm going to go and do my research on those Ridgers and get back to you boys on my prediction! Git er done!
