Call of the Wild Cordova Duals December 8th Coaches, We are very excited that you and your team are interested in competing in the 2007 “Call of the Wild” Duals Wrestling Tournament. We are expecting a great tournament again this year. We have 2 spaces available. Please contact me if you have any questions. Seeding will be based on past performance, performance of your team this season and the judgment of the tournament directors. • Every team will wrestle 5 duals. • We will give plaques to the top 4 teams. • Entry fee: $125.00 per team. No, all the testers have not quit. Tripp and Marty were with Houston and CBHS at the Father Ryan Tournament, and we needed to get bridgeforth tested. We were in Nashville to wrestle in the Ravenwood Tournament so we had him tested up there. End of story!

Thanks for the nice comment! We have a great coaching staff here at cordova: Brian has done a great job filling Thirys shoes. He demands alot out of the team on and off the mat. The practices are hard and the wrestlers are learning alot of new technique. Shaun Swayne has been doing a good job with are younger wrestlers and Steven Sheppard has been putting the upper weights threw heck.

Bridgeforth started the season at 320. He has been working really hard to lose the extra weight. He wrestled really good in his first tournament back. 5-1 in Nashville. His only lost was in overtime to the tournament champion.

This was one of the worst calls I've seen. Reynolds had been cleared by the refs at weigh ins. In fact he still had the x's on his hands. Reynolds had :38 of injury time in the second period. Then in the third the ref stopped the match for blood time (Dowell). The refs checked Reynolds nails after they saw a scratch on Dowels chest. The ref told us that Reynold had to cut his nail. After cutting his nails Reynolds returned to the mat were the ref told him he was :16 over his injury time. Match over!!!
