Thank you broadbat for stating the obvious about hixson, we have better pitching.

Sure smalley and green are decent, but as a team they are mediocre. They aren't in the top 10 in chattanooga, much less the state. Their rankings are all jokes, and as you saw against ER if Green doesn't hit HR's and smalley doesn't pitch they are out of luck.

Sandlot may not be from ER, but he has some good ideas. ER will be a contender for the district, and could sweep hixson if they get past smalley. (but i wouldn't say easily) Just like i said about our basketball team, we will be better than people think.

Hixson won't match up this year. They only have a few good bats, but their pitching is suspect and half their team won't be in baseball condition for the 1st couple of weeks to start the season.

Why aren't we in the mix at all? We have 2 of the top 5 pitchers in the district, and a lot of position players back, but we still aren't given any credit.... Why?

I agree ooltewah is the favorite, and soddy and red bank will be battling for second.

Maybe, but only if he gets total respect from the whole team. A couple bad attitudes can ruin the whole unit.

if they play defense and hit like they did last year, they won't need too much more pitching. Dye wasn't bad, but when i saw him, he wasn't as great as his record. They played great D for him, and they can all stroke.

Another ace for you that will be appearing in this tourney is brandon stewart. His stuff is hard to match as well. Then, poole isn't bad either. ER has the pitching this year if we can just swing the sticks.

I know WV lost their ace last year, who do they have on the bump this season to compliment their dominant hitting?

anyways, are you sure? i don't know these kids either... we do have some pitching back along with poole and the gang. plus our hitting has improved 10 fold. we'll see
