Thank you broadbat for stating the obvious about hixson, we have better pitching.

Sure smalley and green are decent, but as a team they are mediocre. They aren't in the top 10 in chattanooga, much less the state. Their rankings are all jokes, and as you saw against ER if Green doesn't hit HR's and smalley doesn't pitch they are out of luck.

Hixson won't match up this year. They only have a few good bats, but their pitching is suspect and half their team won't be in baseball condition for the 1st couple of weeks to start the season.

Why aren't we in the mix at all? We have 2 of the top 5 pitchers in the district, and a lot of position players back, but we still aren't given any credit.... Why?

Oh, what happened to smalley against howard. He scored 19 on us, and then the paper said he was scoreless against howard. Doesn't sound like him. Who is phillips? The paper said he hit 3 3's for hixson too?

This is always an exciting matchup. Both games in the reg. season were unbelievable last year and then hixson beat u guys in the tourney by coming back from 7 down in the last minute. Who wins? i really have no clue. Hixson brings two different squads. Lose to seq. then turn around and beat bledsoe by 30. Dominate us and turn around and get dominated by howard, who we beat. If hixson brings their A-game, they could pull the upset. No doubt it should be a good game. Didn't cable hit a buzzer beater the 1st matchup last year?

I went out to this one. Hixson didn't play well at all. The only kid scoring in the game was smalley from hixson. He drove all nite, and seemed to shoot a TON of free throws. Mccallie had no one in double figures, my boys noah and brett never stepped up. Hixson should have won, but they made key mistakes at key times. They really need someone else to step up. Mccallie will get better and they'll put the pieces together will all those HUGE athletes.
