  1. This setup looks pretty good to me. 4 regions in east ten, and four regions for the rest of the state in 5a.

Do have 1 question. Why would you take White Co and make them play in a different time zone that all the other schools in there region? NOW THAT SEEMS UNFAIR!

No kidding as a White Co fan it is absolutely ridiculous that we have to play in the eastern time zone. When York had the same complaint as we did and they got to move back to there old region.
  2. I have seen him, no arguements from me. I also tend to agree on the angel kid being over hyped compared to his on the field preformance shows. Edgington is the 6'5 260 lb TE. OK...That being said, LaVergne was the first quality 6a team seen. They will get their footing this week and pull the win in my opinion.

They have two Eddingtons one being the TE and one playing the safety opposite Angel who is a good high school football player. If schools actually watch his film they will revoke his scholarship offers because he doesn't show up on film or the field. You may very well be right, but they have to find a way to tackle the Grays kid. Best case scenario would be a ball control offense and keep him off the field and control the clock and T.O.P. I know coach Maynord and he has been known to milk the clock with a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.
  3. 6'3 Angel at wr and saftey for CHS. Angel has like 7 SEC-offers. Vic Johnson is also a good running back with some d-1 offers.

I know you have friends who live in cookeville and work for cookeville. Get on Hudl and watch what Roshea Grays did to them last game. He was the best player on the field that night hands down and on top of that he just got named Rutherford county player of the week. Google Roshea Grays and you can watch his highlights. Much better than any highlight Angel has in his career. IMO Johnson is the best player cookeville has in offense besides the big left tackle and Eddington the safety is there best defensive guy right there with number 6 on defense.
  4. was tied at 17 at one point I think. This game was much closer than score indicates. I think the big factor was LaVergne having seen llots of good competition, CHS having not and not used to having to play 4 quaters. Won't be the case this time around. Talent wise, teams are simular. I will stick with the home team by less than 7.

The teams are not similar talent wise. Cookeville doesn't have one player who is as good as Grays. Add the fact that they also create matchup problems outside with there height at WR.
  5. I can't speak for anybody else, but I really think it would be a toss-up.

Isn't there a chance they would play each other in the state playoffs?

Yes they have the chance to play in the playoffs...just like last year it will be a quarterfinal game with the winner more than likely playing Maryville.
  6. You guys are full of excuses. I know for a fact he just don't show for practice very much. Nothing to do with injury was happening before injury too.

Dude give it a rest. The best 11 must be in the field. Trust me if someone was better than him he would not be on the field. He adds another dimension to this SC team that they have not had in years. If little Johnny is not getting to play...cheer on the team or call coach D and set up meeting to go talk to him. If you are not man enough to do that take your kid and change your allegiances and transfer.
  7. If they have a back as good as Linder they should get a better draw in the first round!

He is probably better. He puts up numbers against teams like MBA where they only lost 49-40. He has been offered by UT, UK, Wisconsin and those are just some of the teams john Brice and Chris Lowe mentioned on the radio. But good luck when you get out of the UC.
  8. Warren county might not have a great win loss record at the end of the year. You people are always on top when it comes to bickering with each other about whose son should be playing QB or whatever position. If you people know who should be playing stop coaching from the bleachers and coacht and go get a degree in teaching so you can be bashed on forums from people who smile and shake your hand face to face. FYI I am a SC fan.

  9. just saying, not a lot of college coaches sitting in the bleachers of 2a football.

What a absolutely ridiculous statement!! They where in the stands back in the day when they where in 2a with Brandon Warren, Rae Sykes, Shivy, Randall Cobb and many more that I am sure I left off.
  10. "UHS is clueless on D. Don't know how to play the down and distance at all. SC poised no threat running. But still UH played man to man with a loaded box, a 10 yard saftey shaded to the strong side, and blitzing on obvious passing downs. If you didn't guess right blitzing 60% of the time, the hung their young db's out to dry".

You have got to be one of the best football minds in the state. You know so much and are so intelligent about the game. You should probably take over for Murphy Fair. Or just do your own Upper Cumberland edition.
  11. 42-14 CHS. CHS is not quite as good as Alcoa in the first 15 but has more depth so they will be simular. They also have good coaching with Maynord and the SC cast he brought, couple from UH, and a few of the better hold overs from Cook's staff.

Alcoa would mop the floor with cookeville! True story.
