Ron can you tell me if Quarles has gotten any offers worht taking at the college level?

No UTC's new stadium isnt inside, but for a college that size its very new. I think it was built a couple of year ago, but Im not sure when. I visited Chatt. recently and the stadium would be a great place to play those games in.

No offense to dude, who knows his football, but Dustin Lindsey from Alcoa was by far the most domanant force in 2A. I mean seriously, two shy of breaking the state record for most TDs in a season, but he is not one of the finalist. Does anyone know how many he has for his career and what the record is?

I dont think we can compare them to that team. John Henderson, currently of the Jacksonville Jaguars was on that team, not to mention Santonio Beard, a former Alabama player. I can see where the comparisons are coming from though with their RB who is maybe the best in 4a at getting his own yards without the o-lines help and their linebacker is really good also. But I doubt they are the caliber of these two. Maybe the RB, which Ive heard we will see in the SEC, but not the linebacker.

Can anyone imagine what Quarles would do if he was at West High School this bast year, with all their athletes man, woulda been tough to beat them but i suppose you can say that about any GQ coached team.

Most people are talking about a pretty close game, but does anyone remember the 98 Championship? Same thing could happen. Spread offense against a very athletic, good defensive team from the west. Who knows?

I saw Lebanon hand Maryville High School their only loss of the year this weekend and I had never heard of this school. Then i saw this post and need to coments something. Lebanon will go to state they are semi-deep but their starting five can play the game. good luck.

Well since we are on the topic of offense, let me tell you what i heard about the Melrose offense. LUCK. Their linemen just wait for someone to come and block then they turn to the side and push them. I would agree if you said their RB gets his yards by himself. And when they pass, get this, they take a 3 step drop and bomb it and pray that therir man comes down with it. Now this is what ive heard. How true this is I dont know.

You know what, lets look at the offenses. I dont believe Melrose can score enough points to beat Maryville. Why you ask? Maryville has scored 30 or more in 12 of its 14 games while Melsrose has only broken 30 in 5 of their games. Ohh and 40 points(This is where it gets bad). Melrose has put up 40 3 times this season. Maryville has put up 40 8 times. That kinda tells us who has the better offense.

In this game I dont think the surface will make much of a different. They are going to be a little faster no matter what. Any news on the weather?

Yea, come to think of it there should be a county championship game wait there already is Maryville vs Alcoa. Who needs the county schools. We can go beat up on other more impressive teams than some guys that won a couple of games.
