  1. Trying to help coach with our 2011 schedule again. Thought it was finally complete after speaking with over 80 different schools. Surprise! Fulton has decommitted and now we are in a bad spot trying to fill our schedule. Week 5 was when we were supose to play the Falcons, so that is the best option. However; week 7 is our open date and we can take week 5 as an open date and play someone on week 7 if that is what works with your schedule. CAK does NOT recruit players! We have app. 417 students. We graduate 19 seniors this year, so the next couple of years could be iffy for the Warriors. Give us a try and improve your pass defense. Seriously, either PM me or call CAK at 865-690-4721 and ask for Coach Rusty Bradley. Thanks for you consideration :thumb:

Call Coach/Athletic Director, David Meske, Webb School of Knoxville

  2. No way its going to be a blow out. SG has beat alot of good teams this year and being undefeated this far along in the season is no small task at any level.

    Webb 21-10

OOPS!.................looks like I gave St. georges too much credit.

  3. Like I have said in the other two playoff games that Webb has played in this year, the Blance brothers are the difference. I am sure St. George has some good lineman but so does Webb with some mean defensive ends in Kelly Thomas and Mr. Football finalist Hunter Little. Also, both teams are very well coached. So it is going to come down to whether St. George has the speed on defense to slow down the running attack of the Spartans. No team has stopped them all year and we will see if St. George can do it on December 2nd.

new information makes my previous prediction invalid..........

    WEBB 35 sg 7

  4. Webb by all accounts has got to be the favorite. St Georges though has beaten ECS and USJ while remaining undefeated. Webb's O-line has been dominant, but StGgeorges has allowed less than 150 yards rushing in back to back weeks against fairly strong running attacks in FRA and Davidson. Looks like Webb's offense against ST George's defense, If St Georges can score 17, can they win? If Webb doesn't score 21 can they win? I'd say Webb by 9, what does everyone think?

Webb 28 SG 10, book it.

  5. Congratulations to Knox Webb for their win over Davidison Academy. Webb has a very fast and talented team and hopefully we can meet again in the playoffs. I also wanted to comment that Webb has a beautiful campus and football facility. I was also proud of the way both teams and their fans handled themselves with good sportsmanship and "fansmanship". Lastly, "I hated my Bears lost but didn't really want to pull a trailer back to Nashville so it wasn't all bad", he says kiddingly. Good luck during the playoffs.

all in good fun my friend! But seriously, it is a NICE double wide made by Norris Homes with a deck and everything. See you in the playoffs!

  6. It will be fun.....DA secondary is ready for anything Knox has....St George is who you need to worry about after DA and DCA take care of you....can you stop the veer? lol

    DII

    [/quot

If I recall correctly, Webb handled St. george's veer fairly well last year on thier way to Cookeville.

It will be fun, if you guys enjoy driving 2.5 hours to get thumped. Prediction: Webb 35 da 7

  7. NICE POST...DA WILL GO 2 KNOXVILLE AND HANDLE THEM...WEBB BARELY GOT BY FRA TODAY AN GAVE UP ALMOST 300 RUSHINGS..JUST WAIT TILL THE BEARS COME TO TOWN

MAYBE THE EXCUSE WILL BE THE FIELD WAS TOO DRY

The grass will be mowed close this week in preparation for the DA beatdown. Give me a shout if you want to stay at the trailer after the game. Go Spartans!

  8. :roflol: That's a good one LetsRumble! My guess is that UGA has a double wide at best!

OK, maybe I don't have a very nice house, but "69" or "82big reese",bring a bag of cash when you come to Knoxville and I will borrow enough to cover . DA has no chance, who is Cane Ridge by the way?

  9. Patrick Haun Sr. WR dismissed from team....http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2010/sep/21/haun-top-receiver-top-ranked-catholic-dismissed-te/

The Catholic High School football team will be without starting senior wide receiver Patrick Haun when it plays host to rival Webb School of Knoxville on Friday night.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Haun, 17, was dismissed from the team for undisclosed reasons and is no longer a student at Catholic, athletics director Jason Surlas confirmed Tuesday night.

Catholic is 4-0 and ranked No. 1 in the state in the Associated Press Class 5A poll, and has been the past four weeks. Through Catholic’s first four games, Haun had served as quarterback Mike Wegzyn’s favorite target, catching 21 passes for 389 yards and five touchdowns.

His six catches for 174 yards and two touchdowns helped Catholic win a District 4-AAA game at William Blount, 27-10, this past Friday night and earned him a nomination for PrepXtra offensive player of the week.

Truly a shame, this is a talented kid.

  10. NICE POST...DA WILL GO 2 KNOXVILLE AND HANDLE THEM...WEBB BARELY GOT BY FRA TODAY AN GAVE UP ALMOST 300 RUSHINGS..JUST WAIT TILL THE BEARS COME TO TOWN

MAYBE THE EXCUSE WILL BE THE FIELD WAS TOO DRY

222 yds to be exact, and Webb lost 4 fumbles. DA has no chance in Knoxville. Do you have a house?

  11. Webb probably is glad that they are in the lower divison because they can actually win the title in it. And i'm no DA fan either but from what i heard they physically owned webb last year and Webb got to go play in the west side of the bracket in the playoffs. I guarentee KNOX WEBB will not win state this year. Not even the region.

    Dear 69,

Would you like to make a wager? My house is about 3500SF, i will wager that against your "guarantee" and your house.

  12. How bad will the Webb Spartans beat the Devils this week?

So bad that I do not beleive it is worth driving from west Knoxville to halls to watch. It will be over by middle of second quarter. Why can Halls not field a competitive football team?

  13. I don't think there is any question: CAK would NOT schedule Alcoa if it were not a district game. Primarily due to the new guidelines for getting into the playoffs every win and loss counts, and at this juncture Alcoa is King of the Mountain regardless of classification. However; being forced to do so has most definitely made CAK a much better football team IMO. CAK did schedule Elizabethton as a non-district game, and they are a top 10 3A Playoff team, to go along with district foes Alcoa & Loudon. Not to mention that CAK plays schools with over triple their enrollment (just over 400 students this year).

My post on the other thread did not mention Catholic, only Webb. I mentioned Webb because they talk about CAK running from them like they dont run from anybody. I'm pointing out that if it is true that they would not schedule Alcoa then they are the "pot calling the kettle black".

Webb played a two game series with Alcoa as recent as 2003-2004. The fact is Webb and Alcoa, for not all the same reasons, both have trouble scheduling local teams. Webb obviously has nothing to gain by beating CAK, but I doubt seriously if they have ever declined to play CAK. So, I wonder why they haven't played since 2008?

  14. For anyone looking for a fun first game of the season, come out and check this one out. Seriously, some of the best burgers and bananna pudding you'll ever get at a game, and these will be 2 fun teams to watch. Warrior Stadium is very family friendly with a super nice playground for the kids directly (and very safely) connected to the stadium.

For anyone wanting to GPS or Mapquest the CAK stadium, it is 529 Academy Way in Knoxville. Don't forget the kickoff time is 7:00 Thursday, not the usual 7:30

What better way is there to spend a Thursday evening? ;)

Can you get my son and I a sideline pass, Coach?

  15. You are right Davidson did control the line of scrimmage last night. With thier team speed, or lack thereof, they can beat a lot of teams playing in a big mud puddle. Again, correct, your coach, well, he is BIG. We were expecting with the success Davidson has had in the past a little more class. The coaches running thier mouths at midfield after the game was dissapointing.

There is one team that would love to face them in the playoffs.......................Webb.

    Go Spartans!
