  1. A-AA Bracket: http://www.tssaa.org/2010Champions/StateGSoccer/A2AState.htm Anyone know anything about McNairy Central?
  2. Eight teams in: Greeneville, CAK, McMinn Central, Notre Dame, CPA, Page, Dyersburg, McNairy Central
  3. Greeneville 10 Berean 1
  4. Greeneville: Starters 8 2nd Team 4 3rd Team 2 Chuckey Doak: 0 Heard through rumour mill that University High bested Elizabethton via penalty kicks.
  5. Region 1: Greeneville vs Chuckey Doak University High vs Elizabethton
  6. We want to request a waiver to our score: 1st team 8 ; 2nd team 4 ; 3rd team 1
  7. Not sure but think you misunderstood my point - my responce was to someone asking why Region 1 (along with a couple of others) was having only a regional playoff vice a district and a region. Don't know this for sure, so much is opinion (for whatever that is worth ) Believe its pretty much accepted that Greenville is the team to beat in the region - based upon ultimate decision of having only a regional playoff (again, in my opinion) the other schools did not want a repeat of last year, of which I provided supporting facts, of which the 32-1 total score was one, and these same schools did not want their teams repeating the "trama" they experienced during the regular season: Greeneville 6-0 in region with combined score of 44-1 (again one of those victories was a forfeit) . . . and that was with starters playing significantly less than half of each of those matches. Unfortunately for those girls (all 11 starters are seniors), they received significantly less playing time then they ordinarily would have due to the quality of the opposition, and their coach's desire to keep scores respectful. Mind you, those scores were achieved with multiple restrictions being applied (for instance last night once the score got to be 8-0, the only shots the girls were allowed to take were headers.) Believe me I am very proud of what those girls have done - both on the field and off - the last two years they have received national recognition for academic achievement - last year's team (26 players) had a combined 3.76 GPA.
  8. I'm with you on this - when do you decide to play your starters (assuming you are in a very weak district/region) - when you get to Chattanooga? Think that's a little late. Fortunately this team has played a very strong out of district/region schedule.
  9. Speaking only for Region 1 - because the region consists of only 8 teams, and because Greeneville won last year's district and regional playoff matches by a combined score of 32-1 (it would have been even worse as one of the matches was a forfeit), and because Greeneville returns 10 of last year's 11 starters the powers to be combined the district and regional playoffs into 4 matches. Note: Greeneville won their first match 13-0 last night.
  10. Greeneville 13 Cumberland Gap 0 Before the score board "nazis" go wild, Devil starters were taken out after 10-12 minutes when score was 8-0. Second and third teams finished match. Doesn't make sense to play these tyoes of matches, but what can you do?
  11. It appears that Greeneville is "class" of A-AA Region 1; CAK "class" of Region 2. Nominees for other regions to Chattanooga? Region 3 - Region 4 - Region 5 - Region 6 - Region 7 - Region 8 -
  12. Sounds like a good idea Any other details - one day? Two days? How many games? Etc., etc., etc.
  13. Ok it's time to start planning for the 2010 seaso. Anyone have any legitimate knowledge of the Lady Red Raiders of Coffee County Central High?
