I heard Greenback has a quarterback transfer from alcoa. Meigs has three new coaches this year and two coaches from last year, This years team is 100% better than last year.This staff really spends a lot of time to develop skills and knowledge. They maximize each players potential. Should be a great game !

I think that Polk being so late in the season,it could be a toss up ( injuries, playoff considerations ) I also think we will Hang a big number on swetwater (just a gut feeling) York and Sequatchie will have to be games with little to no mistakes and great team effort to pull out. I think that they will handle their first loss , just the way Coach Jones will teach them , pick yourself up , practice harder , and punish the next team they play.You cant change the past, but you can change the future(with better preperation)just my 2 cents worth.

Meigs may have lost to Central last year , but lets be honest this years central team is no where near as good as last year and this year Meigs is 1000% better than last year. Central appears to be young but has a good attitude and try. With that being said , The only team i think that have a realistic chance of beating this year is Sweetwater.

The newspaper quoted coach Davis "not serious, he could have played in the jamboree if needed" said he was getting the other qb a little experience for next year.

I think that the Chargers will beat MC and WV this year. And be much better next year.

Just because a team is a smaller div. ie. AA or AAA doesn't mean that they are weaker. I can name at least 5 local AA or AAA teams that Rhea couldn't beat. The only difference is that smaller div. do not have the depth.Anyway good luck with your season, I would like to see Rhea get back where they use to be.

ok i stand corrected, i just watched bradley at the jamboree. The o line will be the down fall for Bradley. Polk by 10 ! and Polk get the advantage for 1) Davis coaching 2)home field GOOD LUCK to both teams (stay injury free)

Everybody keeps saying sweetwater held back,Those look like the same kids i saw during passing league? I could be wrong. I dont understand coachs holding back? Football is blocking and tackling---its seems like the more you show the more teams have to spend time preparing for?

I agree, it will be a fun game to watch. Seq. looked pretty good last night. Sweetwater wasn't bad either.

Of course not! I actually thought sweetwater didnt look bad at all. For that matter neither did Seq. Meigs did not tip their hand either , those were base plays, and we had at least three starters out. I think it will be a entertaining season to watch, nothing more , nothing less.

gatorsfan18, we must have been sitting close to each other , I will agree with almost everything you said except a couple 1) polk played a team that made them look better than they are. They are sloooow. But i am sure they will find a way to win most of their games. 2) meigs line looked like they were still learning the blocking schemes.

OK the Jamboree is over, How would you grade each team?

Is it just me or is this years polk team not as good as last year. They look slower and except hargrove no hitters. Lee looks to be 75% of the off. If this game was at a neutral site-- i would flip a coin . But its at polk and polk pride will be a factor--I say a 7 point win for Bc.Polk struggles with the spread.

After watching the jamboree -- its not a toss up . The only team that suprised me was mc they looked young, but they were better than i had heard.

I just got home from the jamboree----i think your looking thru rose colored glasses to think sweetwater will beat meigs.

Polk plays hard, and play togther, and has a great community behind them, but three yards and a cloud of dust only goes so far. ANY team can be beat. ( although alcoa makes me wonder - not sure if they will get beat any time soon )

My info is limited, but what i do have is correct. To pick mc in front of meigs is far far from correct. mc couldnt beat their way out of a wet paper bag this year. Why would you pick Seq. in front of a team they lost to last year, doesn't seem right either. Oh well thats why they play the games-- on any given friday "anybody" can be beat!

At this point with the limited info i have, here is my picks 1)Polk 2)Meigs 3)Sequoyah 4)Sweetwater 5)Mcminn Central

The third scrimmage was coalfield, we lost 5 to 3 . Our off. is starting to roll, the def. was really flat and got caught looking into the backfield playing cover one . Meigs will at least finish 2nd in the district, if we continue to improve the polk game being week 10 will be interesting.
