  1. McMinn beat Soddy 40-15 The Ooltewah / McMinn County game on 30 October could be a good one! The next two weeks Benny takes his Owls on the road to play the last two Tennessee teams he coached.....Cleveland on 23 Oct. and McMinn on 30 Oct.
  2. McMinn County is leading Soddy 40-7 with about 6 minutes to go in the game. The Cherokees are playing reserves now.
  3. I just left from talking to some McMinn coaches.....they believe the Tribe is ready! They know what's at stake.
  4. Remember, he coached at McMinn County in the mid 70's, and had a team featuring Hubert Simpson that beat a #1 ranked Baylor, and lost to eventual state-champion Oak Ridge in the quarter-finals......a game many said McMinn should have won, but didn't. One of Benny's assistant coaches was the great John Mullinax, who later coached McMinn. There were some other assistant coaches under Benny at McMinn who were also very good. Also, note that Benny played football for the Cherokees.....where he undoubtedly forged his dislike for Bradley Central, since they apparently robbed McMinn out of a victory one year in Cleveland. No doubt that dislike helped him when he interviewed and was hired by Cleveland. so you played for mcminn in those days??? answer the question BUC Apparently you didn't read the post prior to this one......I played high school ball in upper east Tennessee. I played for ETSU when we played and beat the Terry Bradshaw led LA Tech team in the 1969 Grantland Rice Bowl for the small college National Champoinship. I live near Athens.

  6. Bradley's strong teams apparently ended about the time of integration and the subsequent opening of Cleveland High School......circa 1967? Prior to that, they were about twice as big as any high school around here, and they had the entire county to pick from. I know Charleston had a high school then, but most of the best football players went to Bradley. It's my understanding that the refs for Bradley's home games back then were local refs, too.......so you get my point. Bradley did, however, have a couple of good teams in the mid 70's, when Kenny Hooper (Ole Miss) and a few other studs played for the Bears. Then other than a couple of good (not great) teams in the late 80's and around 2000, the Bears have mostly had below .500 seasons.
  7. Well, I certainly wouldn't count a jamboree as something that one could base an evaluation of a team or player on.....which was what you were doing. Now I'll know when I read your posts what you may be basing things on. Yes, I'm happy, Mr. Watson. hey buc, did you play for boyd???? No, I played high school ball in upper east Tennessee. The blitzinbuc comes from playing defense for East Tennessee State (Buccaneers) when they had a football program.

  9. Are you going to predict Bradley will beat Ooltewah? Not can, but will.
  10. I've seen many of your posts claiming to have seen certain teams play at certain games. Quite honestly, they seem to overlap. Could you provide the dates and games you saw all these teams play? Thanks. Blitzn Buc, are you keeping up with my friday night football watching schedule???? you must be bored.... talk about some football big boy...ok??? No, not at all. But I have read several posts in other threads where you said you had seen different teams play this year. If you've seen Ooltewah play four times and Bradley play once (as you stated above), then I was wondering how you saw all of those other teams play this year???? Seems a simple enough question for you to answer.

  12. With all due respect, when has Bradley not been down? I mean, be honest with yourself, it's not like being bad is something new to Bradley. This year isn't an anomaly for the Bears....it's the norm. Actually, it's probably thier best year in the last 8 or 9? Except for the few years Coach Price was there, Bradley has probabaly been below .500 for 75% of the time in the last 20 years. It's not stooping down to state a fact. ps: Wear you Black & Gold with pride, and support your team. Just don't make irrational statements of grandeur about Bradley football's prowess, and you'll be received much better.
  13. When all hope was lost is when you *suddenly* start saying you've just being having fun? Uhhh, yeah! And I do hope both teams play hard, to the best of their ability, without any injuries.
  14. Of course, you were there and saw/heard everything going on all over the field and in the stands at the same time.....how could anyone question you? And it was actually the McMinn County fans who came onto the field after their own players and coaches and had to be restrained by law enforcement. How silly of anyone to think otherwise. By the way, if you're going to lie, learn to lie a little better. You've not convinced me or anyone else who's messaged me about you. Enjoy watching the Owls defecating all over your Bears this Friday. Maybe you can take the Bradley football team to watch good teams playing in the playoffs this year.....and all of you can high-five and say "just wait til next year".
  15. Who said anyone went to jail? Read again.....there were Bradley fans who came out of the stand after the game. When they headed toward the McMinn players the police stopped them, and took two of them off the field with their hands behind their back. Yes, the chaep, low-life adult fans of Bradley Central were coming onto the field!!!! It's on video, and you'd better pray that the McMinn administration doesn't turn it in to the TSSAA. Uhhhhh.....I doubt seriously if you want to try to impress me being with the CPB before or after the game. The Chief is a very good friend of mine......as well as many people with the city administratively. No, I don't hate Bradley. I detest many of their fans (like the cretins who wanted to attack the McMinn players) who run their mouths incessantly year after year, as if they have any reason to. As many knowledgeable people (including me) tried to tell you before the season started......the Bahrs would be about 5-5, and watching the good teams go to the playoffs AGAIN. It's tradition....so enjoy it! And if you think last night was bad, just wait til Ooltewah cleans your clock. Yep, you have to go play them!
  16. Meigs beat Sequoyah at Sequoyah. Enough said.
  17. You are nothing but a lying , pathetic , sad old man!!! No one was cuffed! classless is jumping on the "B" at mid field and taunting the home team before the game, which was directed by the coach to do it. saying that they were virtually on the goal line is like , saying that your virtually a decent human. No one went after players, they only wanted mcminn to stop tearing up the field after the game. So, it's the responsibility of Bradley's fans to come out of the stadium, onto the field, and go after McMinn's players who are celebrating at midfield??????? Yes, there was police intervention. and yes two differnt Bradley people were taken off. Wanna place a small wager about an upcoming TSSAA reprimand coming your way? Bradley's field is considered 'McMINN SOUTH'. Why did you all paint a 'B' on it??? Should have had a 'M" since McMinn owns it. Bradley's tax assessor sends the property tax bill for the field to McMinn Co. High School.
  18. The annual Bradley cry: "You just wait til next year Mr.!" I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Linebacker, from what I've heard. Zack's frame can carry about 225-235 lbs. He has about a 3.8 GPA and he's a fine young man who's been raised right. Great pickup for the Mocs!
  20. Congratulations to the Charger coaches and players!
  21. McMinn 23 - Bradley 14 McMinn was virtually on Bradley's goal line at the end of the game.......but just wanted to get out of there with the 9 point victory........with 9 equalling the consecutive years McMinn has owned the Bears. Bradley is one dirty, classless bunch......and I'm not just talking about the players. Some of Bradley's fans came out of the stands after the game to go after McMinn's players and the Cleveland Police had to intervene and cuff a couple of them.
  22. Poor, poor, poor Bradley. Losing their 9th game in a row to McMinn. Hey, allwaysright.....what did I tell you 3 weeks ago? Didn't I say you'd lose to Loudon, Soddy, McMinn, and Ooltewah? By the way, tell your cheapshot players to take a buttwhipping with some class. Coach Floyd must not know about teaching character. Pathetic!
  23. "Big Bear Stadium crowd"????? What a joke! Just saw highlights on 'Football Friday' (WTNB) and the Bradley side was only about 1/4th full. S-D's QB (Parrott?) looked great, from what little bit I saw of him! As far as the bad refs at Bradley.....that's always expected You are truely an IDIOT, BC 's side was at 90% , SD was at 30%. You sad, bitter old man. Sorry bud.....saw it several times on video tonight. And don't try to convince me it was Soddy's side I was looking at. I'm well aware what each side looks like. I think you're about as good estimating a crowd size as you were two weeks ago predicting Bradley would win the rest of their regular season games. And I know it just kills you "knowing" I was 100% accurate predicting Bradley would lose last week and tonight. And just think.....you've got McMinn and Ooltewah the next two weeks.
