  1. I think most of the talent at W'town in the last 5-6 years has been mostly in the skilled positions. I think back in the late 70's and 80's the skill level was spread more evenly over the whole team. I know the defensive side of the ball was much stronger

  2. Watercitykitty, my comment was concerning TC playing their starters with a huge led. They ended up getting their qb hurt with around a minute left in the game. I haven't been on the boards as much this year but I haven't seen anyone saying the coach should be fired. This just a discussion of the games and our opinions concerning them. I support coach Webster and his staff 100%. However I don't agree with all the calls he makes and I'm sure you don't either. But he's the coach and they're his decisions to make. However you need to check your records on your comment about Gavin highest winning percentage ever. Gavin is 42-32 in his first seven years so far 05-11. Bill Robinson was 52-24 in his first seven years 74-80

  3. Watertown needs to blow up their playbook offensively and defensively.

They need to put Weldy at FB and Hill behind him.

Put #44 at TE, and run right at people.

I'd also have Huddleston on offense.

Their WR's have no size and dropped everything the other night. You can't run the spread without really goodreceivers

I'll go into their defense later. :reflo

I like your thinking Croz. Nut I would settle for a line that would block and backs that would hit a hole when it opens instead of trying to run around the corner. As for wide receivers we've only had one really good one since we've been running the spread. Need a qb who can make more than one read also

  4. Gville got the win, but it should've been 42-0 at half.

The last few games Gville has played with the exception of RBS, they have played the first half flat.

They have to come out and play a full 4 quarters.

Gville may have come out flat but give W'town the credit for

that. They came out and played a much better game than against FC. I think this was a truer showing of what W'town has. We just laid down against FC. Congratulations to Gville. I'll be pulling for y'all in the playoffs

  5. The offensive line and the whole defensive side of the ball have to show up big time for Watertown to be in this ballgame. If the defense can keep FC from running up and the field all night. It will be up to the o line to keep W'town in it. If that doesn't happen it won't be close. Time to step up boys! Been along time since the Tigers were 7-0! GO PURPLE!!!!!

  6. The final was 48-14 in favor of Watertown ;)

I thought the RBS boys fought hard all night long. Might have made a ballgame out of it if y'all had scored there before the half. Good luck the rest of the year. i think y'all could win some more games.

  7. I think RBS will surprise Watertown. They won't beat em but they'll be better than CC or Huntland.

I watched H2O play CC on the internet, and I was disappointed in Watertown's line. Some of them were lazy.

    They would barely line down.

It won't take much to be better than those 2 teams. The line needs to get a lot tougher. the raw material is there. we'll see.

  8. H2o Starters wont even play pass Half- Time , as i have said many times before this Watertown is really under Rated this yr and if they are healthy when its time to Play Against Friendship, G-Ville and those Creek Bank Boys they are talent enough to give all 3 of the Big 3 all that they can handle. It should be a Great one to see !! My call for RBS v/s H2o is 52 - 0 H20

Watertown is much improved over last year, and unless RBS has improved a lot more. The Tiger win this by as many as they want. I saw Watertown beat CC and I saw the FC/Gordonsville game and we're not in their league yet. Our o-line has to get much much better. We couldn't punch a hole in a wet paper sack against CC. Its the biggest line I've ever seen at Watertown and the rb's got ever yard on their own. I was fairly surprised at our defense, however, we really got after the ball.

  9. Haha now this is Comedy Central post No Team will beat us by 2 TD's come on get real, in this case the Past has nothing to do with the future. This yr and the next 3 the Tigers can go very deep in the Play off's and stand a good chance of bringing home a couple of those Gold Balls. Go ahead Laugh Now but U will will Cry later. The Surprise team of the Year !!! Watertown Purple Tigers !!

Jazzy I would love nothing better than to see these boys bring home a gold ball. I played here and my son played here. But two things have to happen before we can even think about going deep in the playoffs. We have to get a lot tougher mentally and physically. And we have to have some boys step up and be real leaders and lift their teammates up when the going does get tough. we haven't had that here for a long while. That being said GO PURPLE TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. LK is a great ballplayer. I wish him the best of luck whereever he goes. IMO these OVC schools are miising out on alot of good 1A ballplayers, just because of where they go to school. Went to the Tech game this weekend Dustin Dillehey from Trousdale County made about every other tackle in the game. Of course he had to walk-on.

  11. COngrats to TC on a great win. Great atmosphere and great game. Congrats to FC on a great season. TC did what they always do and pounded the rock and played great D. Kept Maasen pretty much in check all night. Thought Markham played the best game I've seen him play this year. Made 3 great catches, although one got called back. I think if FC would have throwed the ball more in the first half it would have been a closer game.

I meet the Qb from the '72 championship team before the game. I enjoyed talking to him. you could tell he still loves Jacket football.

Well good luck next week against Mckenzie. I'll see ya on the creekbank

  12. I'd love to see this game, but I'm going to the creekbank friday nite. It's much closer. Rice kid has very good arm. Saw him at camp at AP this summer. Don't know what kind of team he has around him. We had a very good QB and JB shut him down after 2 drives in our scrimmage. ER had a very good passing attack and JB beat them. I like JB but I expect WC to give em a good game. Good luck to Coach Rice, Big Kevin and Scott.

  13. 38-16 final. Coach Creasy put the cheerleaders in at 38-3. WHH had about 6-7 personal fouls. Took the Jackets about a quarter to get back up to game speed, after being off for a week. WHH are the dirtiest bunch of losers i ever saw. At one point they had a player come off the bench and make a tackle...WTF!!!

They had a guy come off the bench and make a tackle? Good grief they really must have really came un-glued. I expected you guys to win big,but I didn't expect them to resort to playing dirty. There is no place for that in HS football....the East Robertson team is usually who resorts to this type of stuff.

Best of luck TC,I hope you guys win another gold ball.

Yeah, ER had 2 ejected tonite. One on the last play of the game.

  14.

Huge line but poor tacklers. Congrats to TC. Next week otta be knock down, drag out fight. Look forward to it.

You're dead on there, H2o. Going to be another slobber knocker! Big difference this time around, is,

last time , win or lose, you live to fight another day. This time, it's W, or go home. No news there,

of course, but the incentives have shot thru the roof. LOL.

Gonna be a busy week on both sides of the Cumberland. Game of the week in 2A....and beyond.

FC looked awesome 2nite against a good ER team. They're gunning for ya. This is probably for the gold ball. See ya down by the creek

  15. 38-16 final. Coach Creasy put the cheerleaders in at 38-3. :) WHH had about 6-7 personal fouls. Took the Jackets about a quarter to get back up to game speed, after being off for a week. WHH are the dirtiest bunch of losers i ever saw. At one point they had a player come off the bench and make a tackle...WTF!!!

WHH has some good looking athletes, and a huge line. Have to say this is the most undisciplined team

I've witnessed in quite a while. Way too many personal fouls. The first, a face mask penalty, is

gonna happen now & then, the rest, just dirty play. Once WHH started falling behind, they just lost

their composure. Cost them big time.

Ben Stadter, our kicker even made a tackle on kickoff. Man was he estatic! Thought he was gonna

    float of the field. LOL

Jackets took care of business, kept their cool, showed some class, & cruised home.

Great job guys, all around.

Now get ready for those pesky FCS boys.

Huge line but poor tacklers. Congrats to TC. Next week otta be knock down, drag out fight. Look forward to it.
