  1. I think most of the talent at W'town in the last 5-6 years has been mostly in the skilled positions. I think back in the late 70's and 80's the skill level was spread more evenly over the whole team. I know the defensive side of the ball was much stronger
  2. Watercitykitty, my comment was concerning TC playing their starters with a huge led. They ended up getting their qb hurt with around a minute left in the game. I haven't been on the boards as much this year but I haven't seen anyone saying the coach should be fired. This just a discussion of the games and our opinions concerning them. I support coach Webster and his staff 100%. However I don't agree with all the calls he makes and I'm sure you don't either. But he's the coach and they're his decisions to make. However you need to check your records on your comment about Gavin highest winning percentage ever. Gavin is 42-32 in his first seven years so far 05-11. Bill Robinson was 52-24 in his first seven years 74-80
  3. Did #6 get hurt on the last kickoff? Was surprised to so many starters playing late in the game.
  4. Gville may have come out flat but give W'town the credit for that. They came out and played a much better game than against FC. I think this was a truer showing of what W'town has. We just laid down against FC. Congratulations to Gville. I'll be pulling for y'all in the playoffs
  5. This is the worst effort I've ever seen from a Watertown team. I think the whole team was in shock the whole first half. Doesn't pay to play 6 cupcakes in a row. And it shows
  6. The offensive line and the whole defensive side of the ball have to show up big time for Watertown to be in this ballgame. If the defense can keep FC from running up and the field all night. It will be up to the o line to keep W'town in it. If that doesn't happen it won't be close. Time to step up boys! Been along time since the Tigers were 7-0! GO PURPLE!!!!!
  7. I thought the RBS boys fought hard all night long. Might have made a ballgame out of it if y'all had scored there before the half. Good luck the rest of the year. i think y'all could win some more games.
  8. It won't take much to be better than those 2 teams. The line needs to get a lot tougher. the raw material is there. we'll see.
  9. Watertown is much improved over last year, and unless RBS has improved a lot more. The Tiger win this by as many as they want. I saw Watertown beat CC and I saw the FC/Gordonsville game and we're not in their league yet. Our o-line has to get much much better. We couldn't punch a hole in a wet paper sack against CC. Its the biggest line I've ever seen at Watertown and the rb's got ever yard on their own. I was fairly surprised at our defense, however, we really got after the ball.
  10. Did Lk end up going to play college anywhere?
  11. Didn't know there was a scrimmage tonight. I'm out of the loop now. Let me know how it goes.
  12. Jazzy I would love nothing better than to see these boys bring home a gold ball. I played here and my son played here. But two things have to happen before we can even think about going deep in the playoffs. We have to get a lot tougher mentally and physically. And we have to have some boys step up and be real leaders and lift their teammates up when the going does get tough. we haven't had that here for a long while. That being said GO PURPLE TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. For some reason I think Slim likes to rub it in. Congrats to TC. Ya'll tried to give it away, but pulled it out. Doesn't Creasy know ya'll ain't a passing team. I thought T. Edwards deserved the defensive MVP. Man he was laying the wood today.
