  1. This will be a big hire that will determine where Blackman goes in the future. Just a few calls I would make, Jamaal Stewart, Josh Crouch, Chuck Gentry, Eddie Woods. Not sure if they would be interested, but wouldn’t hurt to reach out.

Hearing anything about Powell possibly playing elsewhere?

Not really, I know his Dad likes it at SC, but if a bigger school were to offer him an OC job, who knows. The biggest threat would be a private school. Yes, he's that good. Good size, big arm, physical runner, better baseball player.

#11 or #7 has a shot at MR Football as well from East. Isiaha Groves is probably better than #5 and he will just be a junior.

I would agree with your assessment, 11 really helped open things up for Prince. I was able to watch SC vs East Nashville in the qtrs and was very impressed.

You don’t think East Rob will be in any of those? They have a lot returning

It's possible but if Kaden Powell is the QB for SC for the next 3 years, he is a massive problem for that region, and should win at least 1 Mr. Football award. Not to mention they were huge for a 3A team last year. Speed hurts them a little but they are legit.

They showed a little life late in the season with the win over Watertown. The move of Calhoun to RB was a good one. Gave him more touches and ability to get downhill moving to the line of scrimmage. I think Noah Cook should be able to be a threat running the ball some as qb next year as a junior. Should gain some muscle/strength that he needs.  Quentin Moore should continue to develop and have a good season esp as a DE. Cole gregory will be solid/good as usual at FB and LB.

but who else can help out? Main thing they need is more players. Most games last year they dressed in the low 20s just like 60 years ago! With the team’s prospects dwindling last year, seemed like many kids didn’t want to play or quit during the season. B satt needs to beat the bushes for more bodies both in the halls of TC and outside and create a program that kids want to be a part of again . Curious as to others thoughts and if anyone has word on any new players coming to help out.

Losing Atwood hurt for sure, he was an all region type player at C and NG. If they can get him back that would be huge but he is a great wrestler and seems to be 100% committed to it. Line play will determine how the jackets season goes.

Great hire… he will be missed in West Tn.

Definitely could have done worse, as a UT fan, people say CFB is better when UT is good, I will say HSFB in the 615 is better when Gallatin is good. They have a tremendous following and is starving for a winner. Excited for them!

Is it definite that York is in region 2?

Yes, they appealed being in region 3 and were successful. Region 3 is Smith County, Jackson County, Trousdale County, Monterey, East Robertson, and Westmoreland.
