CLINTON WAS OUT COACHED IN EVERY ASPECT OF THE GAME TONIGHT!!!! I hate to see so much wasted talent and so many broken hearts of kids who put there hearts in soul into a school and program that continues to mess things up. It was obvious to that AC could not throw the ball deep and threw screen pass after screen pass and slant after slant. There were 0 adjustments made on defense and the D Coordinator needs to go back to coaching Middle School ball where running the same defense over and over can actually work sometimes. Congratulations AC on a hard fought win, but a bigger congrats to the Clinton Dragons and especially the Seniors. I only wish the coaching staff would have worked as hard as you guys did throughout your careers! You seniors were a great and special team to watch! Thank you for so many memories and keep your head up as your work ethic will take you far! By the way the Athletic Director at Clinton should find the nearest cliff and jump. Man is a complete joke and cares only for himself and not his students. If he doesn't like his job then he should find another one.

I completely agree they should have known! I don't blame the Football coach as much as the basketball coach and AD. The AD should have known and stopped it in the first place. I hate the guy in the first place. The only reason this became an issue is because of other stupid parents who can't deal with the fact their kid is not a starter. I am fine with the situation but just wish the other kids who have worked soooooo hard have to be penalized. Especially with a #2 seed and playing some one with a better record than half the quad. Not a big deal as these kids will come focused and ready!

Secman, if helping a kid who has some severe problems at home and trying to better his life is a crime then you are a freaking idiot. They did not have with the consequences and will be fine. If they knew he was not allowed to be playing he wouldn't have been on the field. We have forgotten about it and the team has moved on a long time ago. OH and by the way we have been playing, to an undefeated season! Come get some!

For starters. Is it just me or are there others wondering how a 1-9 team make it to the playoffs? By the way for those that don't know anything about the Clinton situation with the illegal player playing in 1 game, then they should not mention it because they don't know what the true facts are. And the TSSAA could care less about the situation the kid was in with his life at home. Clinton knew they had a good team this year with or without him as we have won every game we have played without him. They knew they would have a chance this year and would not have done anything to jeopardize the season over this situation. It was blown way out of control by some parents upset about playing time (shocker there). All I can say is WOW to the TSSAA and to some of the people who talk about the subject as if we were playing Ray Lewis illegally. Frankly to me it doesn't matter who we play in the playoffs or where we play them. Our team will be ready and our kids have worked their butts off to get this point and won't let something like this get to them. Let's Go Dragons! Now the fun begins!!!

AC fans can say whatever they want to try to get themselves and their players pumped up, but in the end they now they are in trouble tonight! The dragons are about to show you guys what some team speed looks like! Good luck to both teams and let's hope everybody stays healthy! Go Dragons!!!

It's gameday!!! Can't wait for this one. Biggest game in the county for a while. As for my understanding Weston is just taking it easy for now and is walking around just fine with out crutches. I think they are planning on resting it for a couple of weeks depending on how he feels and who they draw in the first round of the playoffs. As for replacements I am a big fan of Dee Shannon, not that I don't like Powell it's just that Dee looks more natural carrying the ball. I have only seen him carry it extensively at the Jamboree but was very impressed with his cuts and burst. Powell seems more a straight line runner to me (but a good one.) I would even mix it up if I were them and give some carries to Cam. He looks faster with the ball in his hands than anybody else on our team. Enough about offenses I think the key to the game will be the defenses especially the way the Dragons choose to cover JW. Frazier did an admirable job last year and stayed pretty close to him and Wilson still had some great catches. Hopefully this year they will mix it up on him and give someone a little more physical. i would like to see Stone man up on him with some one tall to shadow him like Blake or Willard at safety. A lot of talk has been just about their passing game but i hope Clinton comes out ready to stop the run too. AC is lucky Hazelhurst is dinged up or I honestly think this one would not even be close. Still say the Dragons by 10. Come on Dragons, ONE MORE!!!

I have got some bad news for AC fans. It is actually not going to rain on Thursday! Almost 75% of games this year have been played in awful conditions and Clinton has still put up great numbers. Good luck stopping us now! I am not saying, I am just saying!

I agree with the oppressed one, but we can't blame it all on the refs. Is number 2 fr the Dragons Ok? No, we can't blame it all on the refs, bladerunner. But I don't think you realize what I'm saying. Check out the refs family ties. That will explain my statement somewhat clearer. All I have to say is I have never seen an illegal shift penalty and a intentional grounding penalty combined. By the way it was pretty obvious that an Oak Ridge player touched the ball before it went 10 yards and they missed that too. There were so many things that night that I can't even name them all. But I probably don't have to tell you that you were pretty shocked and excited with the final score.

Great game tonight all the way around. I was impressed with Oak Ridges quarterback with what he was able to do on the ground. His arm lacks a lot of strength and he floated a lot of balls but overall he will be a good player for Oak Ride for the next couple of years. I was really disappointed to see the refs blow a couple of calls. It swear I don't know what it is but the refs just don't like us for some reason. Dragons offense sputtered at times to an impressive Oak Ridge defense but overall it looked like most of the time when Clinton got stopped it was on mental mistakes. Must say I love the new draw play though. Big game for the Dragons this week and I do wish the game was on Friday to give Weston one more day. We will see though. As for next week as long as we can stay healthy and step it up on D I think we will be ok. As always Go Dragons!!!

That is not the only penalty I have seen that is crazy this year. I also saw aiding the runner called against the Dragons this year as well. I am sorry it may have happened but it happens every game and every county around here. I is just never called but then again I saw it for the first time a couple weeks ago at Clinton. Then again it is not a big deal, I am just throwing out some things about how picky i think they are being at times. Slows down the game a lot. Hope the Dragons stay focused during the off week!

Filed was absolutely awful. If I was Shattuck I would not let a soul set foot on that field until the AC game. It needs a lot of work before senior night and hopefully some home field playoff games. The game was a ridiculous because of the field. I was surprised though to not see to many fumbles. Clinton was in control the whole game. They were inside the 10 twice and turned it over on downs twice on Halfback passes that were both wide open but passes were just a little short each time. Score could have easily been a lot worse. I was impressed with how well Powell handled themselves. Team will be good in a couple of years. Only thing I had a problem with was listening to their coach whine after EVERY offensive play Clinton ran always yelling for a holding call or motion or something. Great coach but just got a little old. The most amazing thing I saw all night was a penalty I did not know about. Clinton's QB Stone rolled out and hurdled a guy for a first down. Beautiful play that I thought was very similar to last weeks. Only difference was that he was PENALIZED for it. Apparently it is a personal foul now to hurdle someone if they for your legs now. I am stunned and think this is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I just don't know what they expect him to do, it is just a natural instinct to jump. Anyway I am proud of this team!!! 8-0 boys, way to go!!! Keep rolling and have here's hoping to a great couple of weeks of practice! GO DRAGONS!!!

Not sure what you are talking about Indiangiver. When we mentioned the penalties it was always in reference to our players needed to play smarter and how we can't afford them once we get to the playoffs. So for you to sit behind your computer and bad mouth Clinton when your team is probably struggling is just sad.

I could have sworn I just watched the 2008 Dragons play. Way too many big plays against our defense. All of there touchdowns I think were over 30 yards. That shouldn't happen. I didn't think we would miss A. Powell as much as we did. I think we will be fine but if we have another game with that many penalties it will be hard for me to not pull my hair out. i hate seeing so many big plays being called back. I thought it would go away but it has been every freaking game! Something needs to happen and it needs to be a huge focus for us in this upcoming week of practice. I am proud of our boys so far this year and I just pray the intensity level gets higher as this season could be one to remember! Go Dragons!

Clinton should win this one easily as long as they stay focused on their goals and go out and execute. I think this team is special and has a lot of chemistry as all of the players really seem to be clicking and getting along as a team. The only thing that worries me is they are inexperienced down the road and into the playoffs. They have never played as many games as they might this year so I can only hope that the coaches take care of the players and rest them when needed (like when we are up by 40 at half). I like to see these kids play and put up big numbers more than anybody, but against teams that we know are of lesser talent we just need to stay focused, execute and most of all stay HEALTHY and hungry. I totally agree about our penalties! They are stupid and are almost expected at times. It's funny cause as soon as a flag is thrown every one knows its on us. There was one last week on Weston's long run that was actually against Karns for a low hit down the field and the coaches didn't see it. Before the line could explain what could happen they had the coaches screaming and yelling at them about doing stupid stuff like that and then the coaches heard the call and had to apologize tot he line. I thought that was hilarious! I don't blame them for thinking that though cause there has been a lot of stupid calls. Honestly I like it a little out of our line cause it shows some nastiness to them and they take up for each other. This group of kids are special and I wish them the best of luck. the only thing that can stop the Dragons this year are themselves and their depth. I think the Dragons stay focused this week and come away with a big win this week 56-7. Weston will have over 200 yards and our line will cut down on the penalties. Go Dragons!

The game was well in hand at halftime with a score of 42 - 10. Clinton rested its stars in the 2nd half or it could have gotten ugly, as if it weren't already with all of the Dragons penalties once again. I have been watching High School Football for a while and I think Karns is definitely improving. They played hard tonight and I hope they catch a few breaks in the close games this season as last year was just brutal. Good luck to Karns for the rest of the season and lets keep rolling Dragons!!!

I can't believe how out of hand this thread has gotten. i used to just get on here and read the updates and info that people would write but I couldn't help but join after reading some of this. I really wish people would just drop the thing about the Sharp kid. He is an 17 or 18 year old KID for heavens sake. I mean I totally agree about some of the stuff said about Clinton's administration (especially Davis) but to try to bring down Clinton and the kids that are there now is just ridiculous. Those kids that are there now have worked there butt off for this year and to be talked about the way they are. I have no problem with it and it is well deserved. If you have been around Clinton for awhile you could have probably seen this year coming because the group of seniors have been good since they were in Middle school. I think they would improve a lot from different coaching if you ask me. I don't understand a lot of stuff that the coaches do and there reasoning for it. I agree with a lot that is said but I do think that some of these so called "rumors" that are "facts" to some would just have some proof to back it up. If you know that is fact I want to see proof. If you want to post something that is what you should be posting rather than just saying something to get a rise out of someone. If that is all you intend to do that is fine, just sad. Just hate to see people hide behind a screen name and feel like they can say anything they want without any actual proof. Heres hoping that this thread can get back to what it was meant to be. I seriously hope that Clinton does not try to set any records Friday night because that would mean leaving the starters in for a while and the last thing we can't have is a big injury considering our weakness is our depth.
