Bingo,Kev .The program here at Polk has improved 100% since our oldest boy and our youngest started.Our oldest being in the little league about 1998-2000,our little (now 6'4"-230-240 ) one,now a senior. The team effort ,like has been stated,top to bottom,hard work and discipline .Heart,heck,ya can't do it for 'em. Honesty too.Been a big lack of that in some programs,but,no excuses,bottom line.

Thx man. Lol,most a the time my mouth is out aheada my brain.I ,too,am a Bradley fan.Our son Josh,# 51 ,played baseball with Bradley and Tucker,,, think 12-14 year olds ? And Bradley's dad was a coach then. All around GREAT people we met then. Funny,if ya look at the pic s,Bradley and Josh were captains,I believe,last game.Man thats what high school ball should be.The two games I look forward to are Bradley and South Pitt. It s the atmosphere , the tension is at the limit. I wanted to see ya'll this year,may still get the chance. We got over there last year,on our off week. Heh,heh,thanks fer bringin' me down a notch. That said,GO POLK !!!!!

What happened was : Polk did not come ready to play. INDIVIDUAL attitudes about this game was what killed our boys before setting foot on the field. That IS the bottom line. NO way Bradley could beat our boys with game on like 10-22-2010. NO FRIGGIN' WAY. Shots to the foot area,little league errors,was the end .Not dissing ANY player,cause I think as does anyone else at Polk,its a TEAM effort,the guys just did not get their HEAD ( < ) game right. And ya can't do that for 'em. I helped coach alot of the guys comin' up,and you know as well as I the potential is there ,but ya just about gotta slap 'em in the face ,get 'em P'oed to do what they are capable of. And the individuals I'm talking about are ALL of them.Top to bottom.Ya got a TEAM,and ya think alike! Winning is not easy when yer playing the big boys.BUT,it CAN be done.TOO many guys on this team RIGHT NOW, know what it takes to win it all. Alcoa,? . Heck with them.I believe our boys can take it to 'em , - nut up,git yer crap inna bag, and keep it WITH ya ! Our boys would k ,,well,ya know whatta mean,fer Coach Davis,who is the most class act I've ever seen.The unsportsmanlike penalties were very unusual,but,I can see the boys taking a stand for PRIDE. I'd like to see nuthin' but passing in the Meigs game.And if we're ahead,MORE passing by the younger guys.LOVE that up the gut,but,ya gotta keep 'em guessing.And who the heck would want to play ANYONE BUT ALCOA ? I didn't see that lay down stuff either Amb. One things for sure,you have to come in the door with the can do , will do attitude.Git to work down there and see ya next year. Besides Bradley, this was the game I figured would go the distance.

The only guys that blocked # 38 in the last 20 - 21 games has been Loudon . He is fun to watch ,ain't he ?

I ,for one,would like to see a little more passing going on. I like the up the gut running,but,ya gotta keep 'em honest. Ya think ? For the playoffs,anyhow. And the four quarters last night , and pretty busy at that , would help the stamina dept. I'm just SAYIN', I'm JUST sayin' . and

Gotta toot another (same ? ) horn for the O-line.#77,Norwood,and our boy # 51 C,Soos,#64,Parris,#49,Hammons,#55,Phillips. 77 and 51 lined up like that when they were 5-6 years old.Been a blast watching all of 'em ,and yes I second the absolute notion of the TEAM effort. I remember coaching some of these boys you mention when they were Crickets.How time flys when yer havin' fun.

Whew. What a time.Turnovers killed S.P. The fight was still there in the fourth.I did see the few runs there at the end that with more blocking could of broke loose.Too many shots to the feet for S.P. Yes,sportsmanship and clean play is one of Derrick's most important rules.It surprised me with the penalties we got.Not like us to get one in a game.I've watched these boys for 12 years now and # 12 just takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Yep,ol' howie was right,ya can't hit what ya can't see.# 22 even looked blurry to me .# 33 going in untouched was nice also.Wide open # 24,more than once - I DID see that,! S.P.'s players could do a better job supporting the guys on the field.Good or bad,knowing your guys are behind you makes a difference.And where the HECK was ya'll's fan's ? If Coach Davis doesn't have confidence in young players maybe you can explain why there are freshmen on the field on special teams then .
