I hope it ends up that way.We should have a fine team next year and to add him and a couple more would be very nice.We need some more guys to step up on the offensive line as well.There is no reason that any local team besides SH should ever out size us.Speed kills,but speed and size could take you a little father in the end.We should be set on the defensive line and will have some good linebackers.

I agree, I think we should have a fine team next year. Really anxious to see how Cook does, has a big arm. If we do the same triple option offense next year we will need some linemen to step up and get after it, losing 4 starters from last years. Hopefully this team will get better as the season goes along and we can make a run in the playoffs.

I hadn't said anything because I was hearing he may be coming back to Kingsport but wearing a different color,Black and Gold.

I'd hate for him to come back to Kingsport and end up going to North. With as much potential as this kid has, coming to DB would be a great fit for us. Him and Swafford in the same backfield would be something to see.

First post i've had about this game. Still cannot believe they ruled Barger's run out of bounds in overtime. The ref who spotted the ball at the 3 was not even watching the play. Also, heard from someone that watched the film, that the closest person to being offsides on the onside kick was a yard and a half behind the ball. Boy would that have been a momentum changer? Oh well, i can complain all i want, but we had many opportunities to win in regulation. There was no way we were gonna stop devrin 10 yards out in overtime anyways

Who has Db played thats Really good? Farraguat isn't as good this year so no.SS was manhandled by the Devils and the SECOND STRING let SS score 13 before the game was over. Db Struggled against South. And Tn high. I agree aren't as good this year but Greeneville still throttled them 56-7. Db 41-14. Both Blowouts. Oh and ya You say South has gotten stronger right? Fyi my friend the Devils have too...You aren't an adult. Your still in Highschool. MY guess a sophemore that has never taken a snap in his life. You better hope that Db can get by the curse. The QB #3 (Wolverine I call him) caught us completely off guard… and with such a green team (not much varsity experience) we suffered from the “deer in headlight†syndrome… WE HAD NO ANSWER? I’ve seen DB play twice now and believe me… YOU DON’T EITHER!! Your fastest player would need two more gears to stay with Wolverine… and it’s not just his speed. Our sidelines (COACHES INCLUDED) died after seeing him literally jog away from our secondary… untouched. DB has fast players, but not in the same class as this. The scrimmage crap is just that… crap. Anybody that looks to a scrimmage for a comparison is reaching for straws… and you know it. DB has tried the same scrimmage CRAP with Maryville FOR YEARS… and we see how that worked out for ya when we finally got the head to head. DB vs Greeneville would be like Florida vs Alabama in my book.

We don't have the speed?? Our QB/safety has been clocked at a 4.46 40... it's hard to see Greeneville's quarterback being much faster than that

I've said one thing involving refs and that was just the call on the CS touchdown.. The outcome of that game mainly just came down to we didn't play to our potential. Hopefully our game with you all can be a breakout game where we get everything in gear and we won't need any excuses.

No, kidding?? Where the heck have you been? DB--undefeated, ranked 3rd in 6A, playing a little 5A school from the county. Yes, we had 2 kicks blocked, our punter was hurt, our running back was out, couple of others out with injuries. We paid the refs on Thursday night. We had 2 passes overthrown for touchdowns, as well. Fact is -- You guys were not ready to play and South was not intimidated by the Big Bad Maroon. You guys are hilarious. Hey, idiot--wake up, it's football. That's why we play the game.

Yea… I know exactly what you mean… THS was just 7 tackles away from a tie ballgame with Greeneville. I'll also give Greeneville props for playing hard but if we actually execute the score of the game would be 7-7.

First off, we scored 21 and easily left 28 other points out on the field. Our d end dropped an EASY pick 6.. a bogus holding call brings back a CS touchdown.. we fumble on the 5 yardline.. and Cannon is overthrown twice in the back of the endzone. I'll give props to south for playing hard but if we actually execute the score of the game would be 49-7. We just didnt come ready to play.

If South's line blocks really well and doesnt miss any assignments then I can see Haden maybe keeping it close for a few quarters. But all in all, I think we just have too many athletes for South to handle and we handily beat them.. maybe a blowout.

I disagree. that offense is not deigned to be run like that. Could you imagine if Seabolt had the option to hand it off, keep it down the line, or pitch it to swofford? They do a great job with it now but it would be unstoppable. It's hard to teach that in one year but I bet if Seabolt was a jr. next year you would see that offense run on all 8 cylinders.

All I'm worried about about is that the offense is good enough to win games for us. I think its been working pretty well so far...

Parking will be the best at any school you go to. Park at the church right beside the school and the visitor gate is right there. You shouldn't have a 50 yard walk from your car to the gate. Not alot of visitor seating. Our visitor stands run from the 30 to the 30 but are only 10-15 rows high. It will be standing room only so you might want to get there early.

From what i hear, we are bringing the whole band and a huge crowd. Looks like everyone is ready for some revenge.

I’m not familiar with Coach Brewer and I’m not arguing that point. My point is THIS YEAR Sevier team took one to the chin by a Jefferson County team that 4A Greeneville took to the wood shed 34-7. Normal logic would look at that info and come to the conclusion that either Greeneville is more of a beast than we even expected and has 4A State locked down… or Sevier… lets see… how about… doesn’t exactly ring “beefed up schedule†as some DB hopefuls would like us to believe.

Jeff County was predicted to win the IMAC conference at the beginning of the year so maybe they are just a team that starts off slow... and I've heard many coaches say Sevier County is a lot better than that score indicated vs. Jeff County. They are always well coached and disciplined too.

Any team will always try their best to get a win against the Indians. SC will play hard and this will probably be one of our tougher games. Looking forward to Friday already and hopefully we can take a good crowd to Sevier County. Roll Tribe!

Bud, I really enjoy your input on these boards, but tire of your D-B #1, South stinks rhetoric. Let me help you out since you are embarrassing yourself with your argument. Why did D-B lose to 5A Clinton last year? Why does TSSAA classify schools according to SIZE? Why is Greeneville ranked #1 today and "below average" Knox West #13?

5A Clinton had probably its best team it has ever had last year. D1 running back Hazelhurst and one of the top dual threat quarterbacks in the state and we also played them down to the wire with the worst DB team in 25 years.

Central's QB is the best QB in the state of Tennessee period! You saw the Jamboree didn't you? If he has time to throw against DB he will beat DB! He has the receivers too!

Best QB in the state of Tennessee? I would take Seabolt or Cook rather than Central's QB. And yes i did see the jamboree but the jamboree means nothing..its a way to make money and just something for fans to go to.

This will be a tough one for Clinton if they give up the ball as much as they did Friday night. If they can hold on to the ball and stop DB's RB then this can be a good game but that is a big "if". I would have never said this till after Friday night but I think Clinton can beat DB on the line and match up with them pretty well as far as playmakers go. I would deff not look at the Farragut Scrimmage because neither Dee on Camion played in it and plus its a scrimmage....Clintons got A LOT of work to do for Friday night if they even want this game to be close.
