Give Gaddis 4 yrs and see what he does with full cycle.Blade had a great freshman class when he came in and more older guys to work with.Bet anything Oak Ridge goes to state within 4 yrs.

 

I'm not talking about ancient history

Considering we did lose 23 SR's last year and had a brand new coaching staff and still had a very respectable year I think that does say a lot now that you mention it.

So far Joe Gaddis has done everything a wildcat fan could hope for.The town interest and money coming in is up.More players are coming out for football.Improvements in facilities.Very bright future and anybody who dont see it dont want to.

No Blade Didn't care about the numbers. He cared about winning.. Didn't we go to the semi finals with, Blade? How many did he have on the roster that year??

The more the town gets behind the program the more money.Also means more kids play when they are younger wanting to be like their older brother or cuz.Its all about the future.Blade was a great coach and I loved his defense.But he was never goin to take Oak Ridge to the next level.Gaddis took over a team last yr that lost 23 SRs.Blade jumped ship and Gaddis will take us back to the top.

They gave roster sheets as you went in tonight and Oak Ridge has 89 players not counting any Freshman.Thats crazy.That is the power of Joe Gaddis.Someone said Oak Ridge was in the 50s under Blade

I dont think there is.On a good note,Oak Ridge is a team that will get better every week.They need some leaders bad.Once they gel and grow up the sky is the limit.Need better blocking fast.Wish we could trade some WRs for Olineman.We have 10 solid Wrs

How did the qb's look?

I think Gavin started and ran the ball good.They both do good when they are not gettin hit b4 they look up.Tee was the main WR.I think some young WR had a td catch that was nice.Looked like number 25.Sun was right in my eyes from the bleachers

Thats what I thought the score was.Its was after Tj had the long run which was our 2nd score then there was a break.

The O moved the ball better but the D was gettin gashed and missing tackles.South D runs the best style of O for high school.They have guys goin everywhere.The qb was killin us with his feet

I thought their varsity was playing when TJ scored the long Td.Darel didnt play any WR.I.Jones didnt play at all

Good story on KNS webpage about Middleton bros coming to Oak Ridge.Said he always admired the rich Oak Ridge tradition and that he basically quit at Powell.And that hes cleared.Hope it stays that way.TSSAA will have a busy day with calls from Clinton and other fans wanting to know how he gets to play right away.Go Cats

South D is a real solid team this year.The offense they run has players goin everywhere.Any time u have a SEC skill player in high school its a game changer.Those one or 2 big plays kill you.Defense wont be like Mville to say the least but whos is.I think South D will make it past 2nd rd of playoffs.Go Wildcats.Hope we get things going in the right direction leading to first game.

Thats crazy bc I was thinkin he should play qb the other night.He would just need to make short throws and its not like we would be losing anything.Are other options are not doin much more than that but Tee would offer so much more with his legs.We have great playmakers that just need the ball.No need in tryn to run make it hard.Run the ball and throw slants and a few longs ones when you have the d cheating up.Maybe they will get it clicking.One thing for sure is what they are doin now is not working.

And btw I dont think the other QBs are bad.Its just in high school your best players need the ball.I think with a really good Oline that Logan would be great.But the fact is we dont have a great line.Our QB better be able to move.B.Zullinger wasnt a great passer but could pick up huge 1st downs with his legs.I look foward to south d and hope Logan and Gavin play great.

+1000 I agree with everything you said. You want to know my blunt honest opinion and this is me just being straight forward and may ruffle some feathers and I am sorry if it does. If Tee isn't going to get the ball a lot at WR (which is tough at this level) than he needs to be the Quarterback. The offense simply needs to go through him. He was the QB at Robertsville. Why not now? I never understood why they stopped that or maybe he simply doesn't want to play it? I don't know. Like you said though his hands need to be on the ball A LOT. I also want to mention how impressed I was with #45 Clark last night. That was the only meaningful reps he has ever had with the varsity and was against possibly the best team this state has to offer and he was all over the place making tackles! If he doesn't make All State by his SR year I will be very very shocked. Kid has great instincts and talent and size already and he is just a SOPH.

Oak Ridge HAS TO get Tee the ball.Whatever it takes.He should never have less then 10 targets/runs or whatever u have to do to get him the ball.The new RB needs more carries.The offense they are tryn to run will not work with a average or worse QB.Alot of young talent and some promise if they can change things up on offense.GO WILDCATS and bring on Middleton.I would love to give him a shot but dont see anyway he would be cleared to play this year.

Just went by Oak Ridge practice and the Middleton bros are there watching.Go Wildcats.Hope the rain stays away long enuff for some football

Oak Ridge will be so good next year with all that talent mixed in with all that is coming back on varsity.Its goin to be fun

Does Oak Ridge and AC play at the end of the year again next year or do we know yet.Someone ask who the Oak R Qb will be next year and I think Q.Dunbar.He is a heck of a runner.Jaylin didnt get to play in preseason scrimmages and Dunbar always moved the ball with his legs.He is hard to tackle and i wonder why he wasnt used more this year.If he works on his passing game he could be really good.Go Cats

Proud of a young Wildcat team that has done alot better than most including me thought they could do all year.The offense has been average or worse all year but the defense has played great.Oak Ridge had lost about every starter and backup from last year and went 7-3.That d will be very good next year.And Tee higgins,Jones and Rowe will be hard to handle next year after a year of gettin bigger and not being new to varsity action that matters.The Cats will be what they use to be when Gaddis was bringing home the gold.Good job AC and good luck

Did anybody hear Gaddis post game interview.He was not happy with Powell running that mouth before the game.He said somthing like we kicked there butt in the 2nd half and they can put that on the bulletin board,radio or wherever they want because they sure was running that mouth b4 the game.I love it.He has the swag and next year they will have the team to go with it.

How bout those Cats.After reading all the post from S.Hill fans I am still looking for that team yall was talking bout.OaK Ridge had the better Aths and better Lbs and better everthing.Lucky the score want worse bc O.R. had chances to blow the Hill out.And the refs gave them a score late.They couldnt do nothing with GRUNK(52) but hold him every play.Go Wildcats and Blade does it again.Big Boy football

Alls i gotta say is Friday night OR is gonna lay it all on the line. This is our first home playoff game since 2005, which is a long long time by OR standards. Science Hill may win, but the Oak Ridge boys will leave it all out on the field Friday night. This is far from one of the best teams we have had in The Ridge, but we still got alotta pride in this town for our football team and tradition. Best of luck Toppers.
