  1. Congratulations to FCS on the big win. They certainly put a whoopin' on our boys and this is quite a tough loss for the ER faithful. FCS has some beastly players, that is for sure--that QB and RB are simply outstanding-- #22 has excellent burst once he hits the hole. I was hoping it was going to be a close game, but alas, it was not to be.
  2. Woo! It's Game Day! Good luck to both teams, but GO EAST!
  3. All yall have is number 2 which is Friendships QB dont expect him to be able to run around like he usually does East can actually tackle un-like the 10 teams yall played in the regular season sorry East by 2 Td's atleast Deez....could you please stop embarrassing the rest of the East Robertson fan base? I'd appreciate it, and I think my fellow ER supporters would feel the same. So, please, just be quiet. There is no place for such mindless drivel and trash talk--not to mention the crude language and horrendous spelling. --------------------------------------------- To Mr.Dufrane: East is NOT soft, and I think you will see that come Friday night. It's going to be a tough battle all ball game, and I doubt the victor wins by more than 2 scores. Another thing: the "watch out for #'s 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, etc...." really is quite old. Both ER and FCS have a roster full of skilled and experienced players--that's why they have such good records and are in the playoffs.
  4. LOL. No way either team wins this one by more than 2 TDs. I'm gonna go ahead and call the upset--East by 6. The Indians just put a solid whoopin' on Watertown tonight, and really opened up the passing game in their 46-0 win. Not only did Woodard, the primary receiver, make many plays, but the other guys produced solid numbers as well. Let's compare a recent common opponent: Watertown East Robertson: 46 Watertown: 0 Friendship Christian: 48 Watertown: 16 ------------------------------------ Now, I don't know how Watertown came by those 16 points, but either way, they scored 16 on FC. East Robertson, however, did not allow Watertown to get on the board at all in this very important playoff game--even stopping them down on the goal line. Now, East may not beat Friendship, but it's not going to be a blow-out. Like the OP said: Dis gonna be a good'in.
  5. It's finally game day! Good luck to both teams, but GO EAST!!
  6. Whoa now, buddy, let's not kid ourselves. I'm an East Robertson supporter, so don't get me wrong, but we are not better than JB. Now, if they were to have a hypothetical rematch and East played more disciplined, I'd venture to say the Indians would keep it closer or even win--but I wouldn't dare say ER is the better team than JB right now.
  7. Even as an East Robertson (Jo Byrns arch rival) alumnus, I'll be rootin' for the Red Devils to make it back to state, and to take it home with them this time. I always cheer for the Robertson County teams to do well, along with White House and Portland, too. Plus, it'll make it even better if East were to beat them next season--beating a defending State champ is always an accomplishment. So: Go East Robertson! Go Jo Byrns! Go Greenbrier! Go White House! Go White House-Heritage! & Go Springfield! I think that about covers it.
  8. True, but it was still a good, hard-fought game that East had a chance to win. East lost their composure near the end of the game and fell apart defensively. However, battling back from being down 21-0 to make it a tie ballgame was quite a feat. Don't be too high on yourself--East had a chance to win that game.
  9. This looks to be a great first round match-up. East has been on a roll as of late with solid performances ever since the loss to Jo Byrns. That being said, we always have a propensity for playing bad in big games. I can still remember the loss to Richland in the first round a few years back with a extremely talented team--that one stung badly. I'm not familiar with Watertown, so I'm not able to speak on them, but I feel if East comes out and plays their A-game, they should reel in a solid win.
  10. I was at the game last night, and it was quite bitter and cold. However, it was a hard fought game on both sides, but I did get the feeling that Heritage just wasn't running on all cylinders. Despite that, I'm still happy with East's win over a good division rival. Okay, so I have a question for anyone who can answer: Since the latest division shake-ups I've been completely lost on playoff seeding rules and bracketing, so could anyone help me out with that? A mock bracket would be absolutely fabulous. Also, did East seal 2nd in the division because of their win over WHH, or is Heritage still mathematically capable of attaining 2nd if East were to drop their last two? And one last question (I apologize for all these): Does a 2nd place finish guarantee a home playoff game for East should they win out? I've just gotten back into watching HS football more regularly, so I'm quite behind on things.
