  1. Would disagree to an extent. I think Watertown has good athletes. Either just not enough in comparison to the teams that matter, or not getting enough out of them. Would agree with other comments about line play, I just think more often times than not you win with the horses you have and it's not an overnight venture to get them to be competitive.
  2. From my limited experience with middle Tennessee football...been to about three years worth of region 4 games...it seems to me as far as outright talent goes most have several decent players, is the difference in "the big three" strictly athletes, is it coaching? Is the type of kids (good athletes just not tough vs good athletes with toughness) what is the predominate difference?
  3. Nice cape captain obvious...do I disagree? No, but you and Doyle need to combine your forces and maybe you could have your own team you can talk about. The Red Cosby BullEagles! Bandwagon hoser. What doesn't run through one maybe two if you're lucky, three kids. I'll say this from what my sources in Wtown tell me, if the line doesn't block any better than they have, it's going to be same as last year 6-0 to 6-4 and one and done.
  4. Heard a RB/WB for monereyt got hurt early good athlete for them , changed their scheme. 16-8 at the half 57-16 with the ones in the game.
  5. Hey Doyle substitute "CPA" for "Friendship" and call me in the morning.
  6. Guess its not so alleged Update on injury? Just got a text saying he was out. If Long is out(God forbid) you still have the greater middle Tennessee area. Heard they're mostly young'uns though.
  7. Meant nothing by it son. All of us are hazzies!. Whining? Check the mirror. I'm stating the obvious. Don't want FC out I want to see 'em get beat! Go Gville. Ging to be tough to beat TDJ although I don't know if the new kid will recieve the favor that his predecessor did. Honest question- would there be a qb controversy if swindoll was playing? Shared time? Different position?
  8. Totally agree about the healthy rivalry bn all teams in the region or at least the big 3. Just not going to stand around and let the private side only be heard as if all is well As I said nothing is going to change. All the multiplier does is change the percentage of total students who participate in sports! Oh you don't play anything...I'm sorry we're full...no smoke here cman. You might want to stick to being a has been like most everybody else on here instead of attempting to validate/justify your methods. So as I said Go Gordonsville!!!
  9. You are correct I won't name names, doesn't mean i don't have several, just not the place to do so...and it's not just uFCS, granted, most privys "know how to work the numbers", but you just happen to be the topic of conversation. As talkers talk, you had two for sure on the championship team who were "charity cases" Oh and it's not that their tuition account was voided out by the school, it was paid in full...just NOT by them! Again, make sure you know who you're speaking it for before you do mr cman. It's obviously things aren't going to change T$$AA doesn't hate you as mentioned by mr bailey. A$ all they care about i$ how many cheek$ you put in the $eat$. Please don't throw out "we'd don't get gvment dollars" crap as if it substantiates your argument and makes anyone forget what really goes down. Good luck Gordonsville!!
  10. "You also have to remember that we have no financial help from the government like publics do" As in taxes? Yeah that's how public schools work. Those who choose private have to pay...the problem comes in when those who are supposed to pay don't, and participate in athletics!! All government run agencies I.e. schools have open books unlike privates. Open your books and then let's compare what funding goes to where, I can promise you NO tax dollars go to fund school athletics other than facilities. Coaches/boosters work hard to raise money for athletes. Commander man I won't get personal, although I'd really like to when "you people" attempt to justify your illlegal actions, but you might want to know what you are talking about before you make a comment. I reckon a pub vs priv game opens the door for these lines of thoughts but they shouldn't happen as I believe there I'd no comparison. Two totally different worlds.
  11. Oh Swanny its not at all that i don't like you...i'm sure you are an above average human and in NO way do wish to detract from your life goals or status with all the homies on here. I simply wished to raise a point. As I have stated on here before I am from/live in Kentucky I have family in Wtown, and enjoy reading on here to stay up to date with Midtenn football. SEVEN, had i made slap in the face comments toward your beloved yellow jackets, then by all means, fire away! But I haven't done that. I have only sought a voice of reason only to get no understanding that Swanson as good of a guy/well liked he is, his football mandates should remain to a minimum (of which i have made none) I realize i'm an outsider looking in, Thank the LORD! You all keep on taking up for the homers! I'll try not to take any more of you boys' time, and wish you all well the remainder of the year!
  12. Homer! As far as my points to the Swanson- its probably evident i'm not a big fan of ppl who can't stand on their own (team)... At least Swanson knows what he's talking about, regardless where he's from. I don't disagree with what he says in word...just the fact he says it! Because of where he is from he needs to know his role! that's all Agreed I don't know about your district other than what seems to be obvious hierarchy TC to RBS with FC and Gville at 2...Funny that you don't think I know anything about football...real funny So lack of discipline isn't specific to spread teams? it is just a program thing? I haven't seen a spread team yet that has the discipline it takes to win when the going gets tough. always thought there was a correlation there. I know most feel the spread is easy to defend/predictable/breeds week-overreliant players, players that can't think on their own without a wristband to look at...just saying
  13. keep trying... have ya'll started basketball yet?...my friend at the T$$AA told me you petitioned for an early practice date since football was over after week 2...hope that works out for you! Lord I apologize for leading this simple man on so much...back to the matter at hand... For those of you on here that actually know what you're talking about (not just stating the obvious), i would love some actual game talk...what is it about GHS that is better than WHS...is it Size?...Speed?...Strength?...Heart?...Discipline? I don't know too many spread teams that are disciplined on either side of the ball. Give us out of towners a little more gameline than what Croz gave us from the Tennessean...
  14. WOW evidently you can be 2-5 and CONTINUE to post about a team that has historically beat you! I have been humble if not even critical in my posts toward Wtown specifically...I know the deal..7-3 is a good year when you play in their region...satisfied with that? not I said the blind man...but I'm really not "from" Wtown...can only wish the best for the kids... It is obvious you boys have been wasting your employers' bandwith together for years...and I'm just an outsider getting no objective views...understandable...can't blame you! So here is this 6-1's SPECULATION...the TIGERS WILL win tonight!! Hey next week we can be 6-2 and 2-6 together Swan dog...guess both teams are fighting a losing battle huh
  15. Now you got it! lol just throwing a little gas on the fire...it is obvious the other Wtown ppl are few and far...sad..I can admire your stick-to-it-ive-ness regardless...right? Read where the BigJazzy was taking a break, impecable timing... Hope both teams stay safe, have always thought Gville-WHS was a throw out the numbers game...but didn't really like the way WHS didn't show up at FC...can only hope they'll be ready for this one! Good luck to all, including Red Boiling!
  16. Alright, couple things: RBS- 1. refer to previous post...not the post police-free country post what you want...but be prepared to be called out...so what i'm saying is you don't have room to lay out edicts without recourse unless you " is from towns with good football teams" SO, for instance I (representing Wtown) wouldn't have ground to call out Trousdale, not that they'd give a reason, due to their dominance...ALL this branches from my original comment that you do the very thing you were poking fun at..."Watertown wouldn't get on here after getting it handed to them." (my point wasn't that you'd be right or wrong, which it seems as though you are right ha)Just wanted to raise the point of who are you to call watertown out when who knows the last time you beat them or anybody else for that matter. Had this comment come from a so called "big three" nothing would have been said (from me at least). But as I said KNOW your role...clear as mud? 2.Lincoln said it but he got it from a children's book whose author got it from the Bible - Proverbs 17:28 check it out... JC-Although I have had a nephew and a grandson at Wtown, I am far enough removed (chronologically and geographically) that i'll take you at your word...and to that, way to go RBS...had heard the coach would do good things...have they beat any of those teams? just wondering...just seems like you've crowned them a little prematurely...who knows maybe two homeboys looking out for each other so you'll have something to talk about during basketball season? humph...just a guess SOOOO...back to the title of the post...Gville Wtown is always a good game...haven't seen either team...but...Gville by 20+
  17. Yeah but you are still from Rbs. Point being I don't get why you feel compelled to post ur 2 cents when u have no ground to stand on! As far as others making similar comments, yep thats called taking your medicine. IMO district hierarchy 1-duh 2- gville distant 3-fc 4-wtown 54-Rbs Climb the ladder and add your 2cents until then shut your cake whole! And to my error I didn't know of ppl posting that watertown was best in the district or however you/they put it. Which in and of itself is laughable at best. I'm sure it was a parent who ws glad their baby was 6-0 in hs. short lived JC can agree with your grouping other than Rbs they're just not a football school maybe they're perennials in basketball and others but take it for what it's worth
  18. Well then Go Vols now you got that going for you. 1. not the post police 2. free country so post what ever you want, negative or other wise 3. my comments are directed at what seems to me as someone riding in on a topic when their team is no where close to viable. and While Wtown may not be either in the big picture, they are much more that the aforementioned! and to that...i'll check back come basketball season...hear rbs lost quite a bit...and don't know that wtown lost any...
  19. Glad you enjoy the game, but it is humorous to me how you (an RBS fan) even have something negative (tounge in cheek) about any other team. As if you have something to hang your hat on...i bet you like Vanderbilt too, ha! y'all do make some good water up there in the hills, keep up the good work!
  20. Funny. Your on here every week on every other post after all the whippin's y'all take. Do you have some kinda kitchen pass that doesn't apply to others?
  21. Sounds like those Watertown boys have a little quit in them this year after all...always hear Mcneal/FC doesn't...will be interested to see how soon The Green lets off the gas...evidently not soon enough!
