Remember when uknoits boy got called for it at our place? He didn't get ejected.  That was a strange call because he was running the ball lol

Yeah I'd say thats the difference.

I agree 100 %.  The last time the creekers beat us at home was 2006.  You'd have thought they won the super bowl.  In reality,  we were a program decimated by graduation and some bad decisions that put us where you're at right now.  It's taken a long time to get back relevant in the state picture.  The setback against hv could be a blessing.  We'll see shortly lol

I remember getting beat at home by HV in '16 by a last second field goal. They about tore the fences down. You'd thot they won the super bowl and got huge bonuses Lol

We deffinately had some fixable mistakes, did a Great job of overcoming adversity. Blew a few assignments on d but overall, we looked pretty solid for a team with as many new starters, need to get the one lineman back and develop some depth in the line.  My cup is half full.

    That's encouraging!

Like Crow I'm not an OHS alum but a BIG fan and supporter. Many comments on social media posts from alum were about being very upset about OSSD/this when it came out to the public. A couple of alum were very upset one even called it "shameful", many just did not get their requests as Crow pointed out basically. Like gcapride seeing what happened and feeling it was an audacity.

No matter what I think it reflected badly, but I do not want a bad reflection on the kids, the athletes deserve respect for their hard work. I think IHSN was trying to be respectful but felt disrespected in their efforts after really bad negotiation requests that seemed to want to just end the streaming or at least were so off set that it was not well thought out imho. IHSN just wanted to bring student athletes' efforts to light while helping the school and obviously the network to better improve the streams/content.

Anyway, lol I'm just looking forward to the season, My Big Ones picks are in, I have my channels ready to stream and team color ready to wear!

    Go Indians!

The only time you should possibly dislike Oneida is when you're playing against them! Always a first class program

Oh I’m well informed on the details and the who wanted what. Like the fact OSSD was “concerned” the loss of gate and concessions would have a negative impact on the athletes. As if that’s was a true concern is laughable as is evident by the initial insistence of paying OSSD to broadcast away games. OSSD doesn’t get a cut of away concessions and gate so how is one related to the other.  I’m very glad it’s worked out but it was a bad look for the school administration IMO.

Seeing the post below, are you sure you're on the right side of this issue Crow??? :roflolk:

Thanks for the info! I was leaning towards PF if they returned more offensively especially at RB and upfront. 35 & 14 are beasts for what should be a solid 3A team, I still expect a close contest being it's week 1.

Hampton has to play good, disciplined ball being at PF

Hampton was supposedly underdogs last year against PF but won 20-14(I took Hampton). Just wondering what Hampton and PF return from last year and any word about scrimmages and etc in 2022.

PF returns #35...#14 is a beast...Enuf said LOL

Think both teams may have their hands full

Oh and Btw for all the folks that enjoy watching and listenin to the Oneida games from a far. There will be no live stream or radio broadcasts of the Oneida Indians this year due to a conflict with local broadcasters and the director of schools. The head coach was also involved in all this due to film being posted on YouTube for everyone to see but the real reason behind  all this was $$$$$ the Broadcasters had done it for 33 years straight. The director decided to flex her muscles and make them pay this  year per home and away game.

Yes expecting them to pay for road games was laughable. I also have it on good authority that the excuse of athletics needing the gate money was also a joke as the football and other major sports accounts are all doing quite well. To be honest with the level and quality of coverage the school was getting the school should’ve been paying the media outlet. To have gotten that coverage for free was a great deal. Sad and pathetic look for the school administration.

This is a sad turn of events! You all had first class broadcasts of your games, envied by all schools, no matter what class or division.

Week 5 and we should know a little about each team.Pre season stuff dont mean much of nothing. Most small schools are trying to find a little depth. Some of us are still trying to see if we have a coach.:thumb:

I watched the same scrimmages you men did; We know where these teams stand at the moment. Possibly a rough start coming up for them all.

I only saw Levi rush the ball one time for Hampton so it will be interesting to see how the line operates for him. If they do their job for 4-qtrs, I've not seen a display of a shut down D that will be stopping him for losses. Don't get me wrong, Cland and SG's D looked stout at times, but they didn't have LL running at em the entire time either. Maybe some other teams laid off the O a little too? SG?

I don't see Cland having an issue at HV this week, but if they struggled against CD a week ago, then we may see a closer game than anticipated.

IMO, the shocker was that WG didn't really move the ball against Unaka and didn't score on them. Talk about a long year ahead! Then again, we didn't have a good outing against WG a week ago. :bored:

Health is a big key ,If healthy we should compete with everyone except Daniel Boone, they may be a little above our heads.

I would think PF is out for blood...at least DB is a home game for you all

King... Just exactly what have you done to the Hamponites? Have you bullied them enough they've just quit or what??

For like 15 years there'd be a Hampton football thread 20 pages deep by now. I swear they brought in 20% of CoachT's traffic.

King is a scary dude...I hope other parents/fans (with some sense) will start to chip in with Pujo and keep these boards hopping

Here and accounted for, Just looking forward to the season ahead. Replacing a lot of kids but still got enough to be a competitive team. Won't be the same kind of team as last year but got dangerous weapons.

By the was ,I was impressed with your Rangers at the passing league, If you can field a pretty good line and slow down Cloudlands running game, May be a new sheriff in town.

I expect Hampton to be in about every game...There maybe a pay back or two coming but hopefully all remain healthy and disciplined for post season
