  1. I'm Jealous....The Only Thing I Regret Is.....Nothing....It Was A Blast....If I Die Today...I Did All I Could.... :thumb: And The Thing Is I Have It All To Do Again With Their Kids! And The Memories Of My Boys To Tell Them About....Life Is Wonderful! :thumb:

Yes it is Butchie, YES IT IS! My only concern is that my boys may bring me female grandchildren! Now what is a person to do in that case! Like Elizabethton, teach them to kick?!!!!!

  2. I'm pretty dedicated,my kids are my life, the years go by FAST,I don't want to look back and say ,I wish I had spent more time with my children. You only have 1 chance, I fully intend to make the most out of mine. I've been blessed and I don't take it for granted.

Pujo, you have yet to realize just how fast they do go by...wait till that oldest one is a senior....but I, like you, have another one coming (well actually more than just one more coming!)....I thank God they are all healthy, determined boys and I hopefully have many more years of football and basketball ahead. I look back at the years of coaching, dealing with parents, hours of meetings, etc and it is all worth it....glad God has given me the honor of working with my sons in such a way. Many stories can be told in my "older" days! ;)

  3. Yeah I've heard some smack, smack is a good thing, gives the boys a little extra motivation.Just take one hurdle at a time.I think these boys are looking forward to the hurdles ahead. I'm really looking forward to these last 3 games. Just glad I'll get to see all 3.

A lil trash talking between the two teams we are discussing will only make for a better 'Final' season game. I cant wait to see these games myself. There is a problem though, I really like my job but Monday thru Friday at 4:00 takes FOREVER!!!!!!!! It'll all be over way to soon! I hope they play each game like its their last one

  4. I believe this team wants all others to KNOW they can play this game with the best of them...they will show up to play and will give it their all this Friday and each after....The talk has already begun! DOGS, pay no attention to the talk. Just walk the walk...Win this Friday and the road for the title ends in BULLDOG TERRITORY

  5. I'll have to take up for the King, he's had a good year.

I will admitt,Ihad my doubts about the line this year, Iknew we had a couple of good one's back, but this whole bunch has stepped it up and they are a strength. Mike told me all along ,they would be fine, Ijust didn't see it.This has turned out to be one of the better lines we've had. I'll give props to the whole team,it takes 11 ,its call playing as a TEAM.

As we discussed for a week, I too saw a weakness there... but they have and will continue to work on blocking (looked great last Friday!). I believe we will see the air assault practiced Friday against Unaka as Happy Valley likes to keep 9 in the box...but I believe alot of that attack will be hidden for that HV game...As I stated, I watched the line and they blocked well for Ward. Ward had time to set his feet and throw good strikes. Receivers ran pretty good routes and made the catches. If other teams think they can double Jones and stop Hampton's throwing game, they have another thing coming. But if they try to cover Jones one-on-one, they got trouble also!!! The running game was, well, ON as usual...Just plain awesome!.... DEFENSE, MUST contain those runners at the 8 & 9 hole!!!... Corners, gotta step up against strong off backs!...I think this team deserves ALOT OF PROPS...Im proud as I know the BULLDOG NATION is also! KEEP WORKING HARD

  6. As I have stated in many posts, I realize we must get by Unaka and Happy Valley will be a beast. Unaka should be a W for us....we can beat Happy Valley but they're not a conference foe....Cloudland has always been my pick for the game of the season....it could very well be a "CLASSIC"...I believe the DOGS will be ready for these challenges as long as they prepare for one game at a time

  7. Unaka will look to pick us apart in the middle of the field....not too concerned about them throwing long on us nor running on us. But 7 to 15 yds past line of scrimmage will have to be protected. Their QB will get his throws but our defense will punish him for it all night long.

  8. BDF36, Pujo, that game could have easily been 100-7 if our coach was as other coaches. Showed class and played the JV the 2nd half....but our JV does allow too many points...unless they're playing another JV! Great job DOGS...Get ready for a hard weeks practice and KEEP ROLLING!

  9. I too feel that way but wins with the desire to reach a goal helps one prepare harder to reach said set goal. Although a loss can sometimes strengthen a team and better them for post season, I still hope this bunch is able one day to look back and remember being 10-0....Pujo, u going to SE or Cloudland?

  10. Its really hard to say, I know they were banged up last week and got destroyed, If they get the players back, they'll be better. If Hampton plays ball they should win anyway. Just glad were finally healthy. An oppertunity at 7 and 0 should be enough to motivate the boys. GO GET UM DOGS.

I agree. If their goal is to be 10-0, they may loose at some point. What I mean by that is, they must take one game at a time. Set out to be 7-0, then 8-0 and so on. I agree with BDF36, they will be ready and focused tonight. DOGS, play hard to the very end, GET UP when you get knocked down, be men and W-I-N. GO DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Pujo, I have just heard the same... That is great news...hope these old bugs going around don't drag any of em down...I wouldn't be surprised to see a lil "LUNCEFORD SPECIAL®" offense friday night ...really don't care, just ready for some football ! Keep preparing Dogs!!!! Life long memories are made on Friday Nights!

  12. Mike don't read this stuff, not many coaches do. It turns into negative junk alot of times and I guess they like to stay positive. Most of the Hampton football posters are really good and mean well, I don't like reading on the basketball boards, they give Coach White and his staff fits. Its BAD. Just hope Ned likes it down there, did a great job at Cloudland. Got a feeling he's stepping into a bad situation.

I am so glad Ned is here....ALOT of talent BUT they must play as a team...like football, one or two will not win state! I hope they learned that last year...but thats another thread later!!! lol

  13. My idea of a good solid offense is a smash mouth running game with no trickery or reverses. It helps set up play action passes. With a mobile quarterback like Ward, having him roll out and moving around would free up some receivers because linebackers would bite on the threat of the run. If you can run bubble screens and tight end screens to keep the defense on its heels, it just helps a powerful running game become that much more effective. An effective way of pass blocking is mixing up the snap count so the defensive linemen can't get too jumpy and beat the O'line off the ball. I personally used to use a rolling block to the knees to give Robbie time to throw.

    Great Post

  14. Yeah, good discussion. I'm not a coach anyway, just love the game and I've seen alot of it. I do think its important to play the younger guys as much as you can. They work just like the rest and before you know it,they're the ones you are depending on. I'll just let the coaches coach and I'll be a fan. That job suits me much better and I'll never make a bad call. Its easy this way. The good thing about it is ,we all have the same goal,as Al Davis always said ,JUST WIN BABY.

"Im not a coach", yea right! I saw you coaching those kids and the twinkle in your eye when that lil #4 for Hampton hobbled off the field...you ran that ball right where he should have been and scored! And I believe I saw you run quiet a few pass plays did I? lol
