  1. I'm familiar with Sparkman, but did not keep track of him after high school. What kind of choices did he make?
  2. (90sLion) you just got spanked it was a joke you all made it this far. Great job Beech!!! Refs tried to take it away from you all but you fought threw it great job!!!! Columbia shouldnt have even been there. Glad they got beat Its funny how no one replied to this post until after the game. Now Space has to jump on the wagon. Great Job Beech and Columbia! Go Lions!
  3. I think the question should be how good is the Beech defense? We heard all week how good the SS offense was, scoring 50 a game and we saw the results. I'm more interested in knowing if Beech can slow the Columbia offense.
  4. Just a FYI, most of the posters predicting a Beech win aren't from Beech, but high school football fans that probably saw a game or two during the regular season. The Bucs players and coaches know that this will be a hard fought game. Beech has the utmost respect for Columbia and looks forward to the challenge of facing a #1 seed. IMO, this has the makings of an exciting championship game between two ball control teams. Great comment sportsobserver. Good luck to both teams. GO LIONS!!
  5. What kind of seating does the stadium have...should I bring my stadium seat???
  6. Columbia has the defense to hang with the Beech offense. Keep in mind we just shut out SS last night. They were averaging almost 40 a game and were held to 30 yards on the ground. GO LIONS!!
  7. Television Stations Carrying 2009 BlueCross Bowl Games Nashville - WUXP (MyTV30) Chattanooga - WFLI (CW Chattanooga) Knoxville - WVLT-2 (MyVLT) Tri-Cities - WAPK (MyWAPK) Memphis - Comcast Jackson - JEA Cable
  8. A few thoughts from the game: 1. SS fans packed the stands. This was fantastic to see considering the drive you all had. I did not speak with any of you, but seemed to be classy folks and proud of your boys! Be safe on the way home. 2. Just my opinion, Columbia absolutely dominated this game from start to finish. I'm sure we will hear it was the refs fault, but I thought it was a well officiated game. I believe when the stats come out tomorrow you will see the penalties were fairly even. 3. This last observation impressed me the most. The SS and Columbia cheerleaders praying on the sidelines prior to the start of the game. This was fantastic. From what I understand, the SS cheerleaders gave the Columbia cheerleaders a cross in honor/memory of a former player. This was great and a lot more important that the outcome of this game. GO LIONS!!
