Thanks for the classy remarks diggerdog. No doubt about it - the field condition is pitiful. I think there must be an arrangement somewhere between someone in Maryville's administration and his/her cousin that maintains the field. Not sure why the field seems to never get better after all the money that is put into football at Maryville. That field is a joke but the only ones that don't see it are the people defending it.

Thanks guys! I really enjoyed this thread - very informative. I think the numbers of redshirt 8th graders is a curious issue and am now wondering if I can get some extra time for my "rising" 8th grader without stunting his growth socially. Anyways, all out of popcorn and look forward to the next page. After the games tomorrow I'm sure there will be some good thoughts.

12U Cherokee Baseball based out of Maryville/South Knoxville will be holding select tryouts for this upcoming season very soon.
