Giles loses a lot of talent this year. And, that's on a team that wasn't suppose to make it past the second round. Just stating the facts boys.

Hate to tell you but it will be a long, long time before Giles will make it deep into the playoffs.

The only team in the state that would be able to handle Alcoa would be in a rematch with Maryville!!

Giles shouldn't have been there tonight. Trezevant would have been a much better match and game. Hats off to giles though. Weak playoff schedule and cought a great Memphis team looking ahead!

Is that why none of the teams there the past decade have been any good? All hail the Wallace crew!

You know, I bet if the Wallace kid had've been around another year that you guys would have been number one not only in the entire state but in the USA Today polls as well.

Ya'll have all lost it. It is most definately the Wallace kid from Giles County last year! He was simply phenominal!!! Not as good as his father though but were only talking 20 years here!

Does the new HC have to have a college degree? I heard some rumors about the GC HC job and there was talk about the Wallace kids dad being named as the new head coach. Anyone else heard this?

I totally agree, and hope to see a crowd show up to support the Raiders on the 22nd! Please show up with an open mind, and a supportive attitude.

Does the new coach have cancer?

I think the Cats will make a deep run in the playoffs once again despite the loss of many key players. Oc and the rest of the staff will have the team mentally and physically prepared and ready to compete with any team in Class AA. I've seen a few practices and the team looks as good as ever. Can't wait for the first game.

 

As for Oc heading to Lincoln Co. next year, who knows. Everything is falling in place for a big reunion in Fayetville, we'll just have to wait and see.

Now Winchell, you know that with out the All-American G.C. probably wont even make it to the playoffs!!!!! Come on now!

Sounds like Giles County hasn't missed a beat. I'm willing to guess and say it is all about the system that the coach has. Now, with out quality players no system will function properly but does this show just how much talent there is at G.C.?

Wasn't exactly a "beat down" but MC is much better and LCHS has some work ahead of them.

Starting QB didnt play sarting DE didnt play and potiential starting OG/DT didnt play all cuz of baseball and our starting OLB didnt play cuz he's hurt. we have some work to do this summer but i'm confident we'll figure it out, cant wait to start the season!!!!

School is not even out and I'm already getting excited about this fall!

One was supposedly hurt but not sure about the other two. Do know that a few "potentail" starters other than the three previously mentioned were not dressed. The "potentials" are supposed to be some of the more talented of their group.

Any word on Richland? Heard they were trying to run their coach out.

Wait a minute. You should know! You've got two kids involved at Richland. One in H.S. and the other in elementary.

Yes Richland is looking for a coach now. I am sure the same family that brought in the boys coach will now go out and get the girls coach they want, since their daughter will be playing next year. Problem is the talent pool isnt very deep. Good Luck.

It's called the Wallace effect. Everyone wants their kids to attain the attention level and two the Edwards boy wasn't that good either but, then again, just make sure you date/marry into the family.

Still no proven coach though. I understand that he is bringing more disclipine to the program though. Just don't look to far into the future.

Last year wasn't afluke for us at all. It basically just showed what is lying ahead. From what I gather, because of last year, there is more enthusiasm. That will carry a lot of weight but then again, by season five, we will know where we stand with the W/L record.

The did handle them fairly well and it was lopsided but it wasn't like one would think a "beat down" would be. Lawrenceburg had a few of their starters or "impact" players that weren't on the field. Then again, some of those (3) are basically just hype.

With another favorable schedule this year and with the replacement of talent, G.C. should remain dominant. I'm looking at perhaps a two loss season.

All jokes aside, I want to see who is going to step up and be the leader. Who is going to be the one to get you the tough yard that you need. Who is going to be the rock on defense. Got alot of capable candidates cant wait to see who rises to the top. Lots of hard work being put in cant wait to get it started.
