    It's funny you say Giles is the only good team CPA played and they got beat 38-10 and Lewis Co got beat 36-28 and was beating CPA with 8 minutes left in the game! Lewis Co was pretty darn good my friend (13-1)

    So was Knox Catholic for Alcoa who lost 49-7 and lost to a very good Knox Fulton team in the semis 41-34

    I just want to make notice that Alcoa did lose to Maryville 31-2, but so did Knox Webb 35-15,and Knox West 42-20, all who are which will be playing for state championships this coming weekend. CPA did play a good team in Giles Co. but the rest are as questionable as who Alcoa has played. But Maryville to a Giles Co. No comparison.

    Dude ! you guys did have a soft season! you only played two teams that won more than 6 games during the regular season and one of them beat you ( a 3a team) ! and your on hear talking smack to the big dawgs ?..

    I guess you guys know by now that the 3A team that beat them won the state title for the 7th straight year, and you guys just lost to Maryville. Big dogs ain't to big huh?

    Is it impossible for a single Alcoa fan to give credit to another team instead of trashing them. You're all probably a bunch of beaters and blowers in the band who wouldn't have the guts to play football anyway :roflol:

    I'll give credit to Elizabethton. Great job on making this far after losing what you did from last years team to graduation. Also congrates on the 20 points that was scored ON ALCOA.

     

    Now. Can someone PLEASE tell Elizabethton to stop chanting we run this ship and then GETTING BLASTED. Exspecially in the middle of someone else field.

    Exactly we were open zone in 02 when we went 3-7, 99 went 6-6, 97 went 6-6, 94 went 5-5,86 went 3-7.......ALL were open zone. It feels great to recruit losing seasons!! :rolleyes:

    That was the point I was making when I ask the question. You become a champion for a long time and everyone wants to throw darts at you. Lose a few and everything is ok. All be it, everything is the same but you are losing, so its ok

    Not gonna bother creating a poll...I know some of the Alcoa fans will have their heads up their rear ends and act like this thread shouldn't be here but the point is we are playing in the semis again and even though odds are heavily stacked against us there is always the chance for an upset.

    Congrats to Elizabethton and Alcoa on making it to the semis again, Its never an easy road getting this far.

     

    But I must say, the smart comment that was made is not a good way to start a thread. So when the Alcoa fans get started on here, please remember who threw the first punch

    As you guys can see I don't comment on here to much, but I thought i would add a few words on this tread.

     

    I like how the F5 play to its strenghts. You don't give anything away if they can't stop what you already doing. The long pass that went incomplete and the one that went for an interception is everyday football. Lets not forget the one that went across the middle to Isom and other to Tyson. There wasnt many passes thrown, but the few that where did pose enough threat to keep anybody from packing 8-9 in the box. Defenses must play honest this year.
