  1. What is the region looking like? 7 and 8-AAA? What will happen with upset minded teams such as Tullahoma, Lavergne, and Lawrence County? Don't know much about 7-AAA. I am a 8-AAA member. So i'd like to know how the region will probably shape out. And potential state tourney contenders, if any.

  2. You haven't watched a whole lot of games then, although it's not common, I have often times seen head coaches shake hands and then one of them not shake the players hands on the other team. Anyway, doesn't really matter. Where is this district tourney?

Well, I have seen a whole lot of games. I guess I have just always saw teams play where the coaches shake each others hand ALONG with the opposing players hands, until last night of course.

The district tournament is in Columbia.

  3. Okay. I was there from 5:00 P.M. until 10:30 P.M. that night. For starters, the refs did let things get out of hand. They dictate the outcome and the actions of the fans. BUT there was no reason for LC fans to rush the floor, no they did not just stand in the little corner that you like to think they did. They ran alllllll the way over to the bench of the visitor side. Have respect, you just don't do that. Period! Now if this was a neutral site and this game meant something in the district standings, i would understand. But it didn't. As for Coach Thomas of SCHS not shaking the players hands, that's normal. Coaches shake hands. I sat there and watched with my two eyes see him shake the other coaches hand. LCHS Student section shouldn't have been standing in the way of the SCHS Eagles entrance to THEIR locker room. Have some respect to let the HOME team get into THEIR locker room. Also, I know Coach Thomas on a personal level, this man would NEVER touch or "PUSH" (as you like to say he did) a young woman in the way you are saying he did. Once again, if they(LCHS STUDENTS&CHEERLEADERS) were not in the way of SCHS locker room, this would have never occurred. Also, LCHS Students need to have more class. Don't call someone an inappropriate word just because you do not like him because the kids got talent. & THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED! A young man from the LCHS student section called Andrews something that should not have been said and Andrews turned and the guy was walking towards him and E then walked towards him and they went at it. No E did NOT get knocked out, you'd have to have a lot more people on your side to take him down. The SCHS admin. always makes sure that their student section NEVER rushes the floor or post inappropriate sayings on their white board. Truth is our Assistant Principle sits RIGHT be the student section. The last saying that LCHS posted on their board was "PLUCK THE EAGLES", now you tell me this, is this really necessary? I think not! I give props to the SCHS student section for not joining the childish fight. The LCHS student section can get VERY RUDE and be VERY out of line! I know this from first hand, maybe you guys should tell your cheerleaders that getting as close to the opposing teams player throwing the ball in and yelling in their ear isn't the most sportsman like thing! I promise you this is true, b/c i did once tell the ref about it one game and he turned around and the young lady was right in my ear! For you to say that our #50 is the most unsportsmanlike player and a dirty player, you are wrong. BECAUSE WE DO NOT HAVE A #50. shows how much you know! All i know is there better be a whole lot of state troopers at the girls & boys game when the Eaglettes and Eagles get around the Lady WildCats and WildCats again. These two student sections will never let this one go!

Well there IS a #50 on Shelbyville that is about 6'6 or 6'7 named Seth Jarrel. So you just made yourself look real smart.

Maybe writing "Pluck the Eagles" was unneccessary. But Shelbyville's student section was writing and calling #10 "Roids" and they drew a picture of a DUCK and put #14's number on it saying he has a big nose. Are you saying that is necessary, because those 2 incidents happened before the "Pluck the Eagles" one.

LCHS fans may have been somewhat in the way of the lockerroom, but even if they were, it doesn't give Coach Thomas a right to push the little cheerleader out of his way (accidental or not)(which i believe he did not do it on purpose. i believe he was just frustrated and she just happened to be there in his way). And it doesn't give Emmanuel Andrews the right to sucker punch a fan by getting called a silly name. I mean really, if he cant take the heat then stay off the court. It's that simple.

I do agree with ya'll that it was wrong for the LCHS students to storm the court. I agree with that. That shouldn't have happened. But everytime I have watched the handshake through the line, I have always seen the head coach shake the PLAYERS hands, not just the coaches. Yes, Coach Thomas did shake Coach Clark's hand. I watched that. But he took no time whatsoever to consider shaking the players hands. That is very unsportsmanlike. EVEN YOUR OWN SHELBYVILLE FANS ARE SAYING COACH THOMAS AND EMMANUEL ANDREWS DID WRONG!! So why can't you just face the facts that they were wrong in what they did. Because obviously everybody from LCHS is saying that they did do wrong by storming the court. So why can't ya'll just do the same and face the facts? Please. I'm not being a smart alec. I'm just stating the truth.

  4. Did you notice you used the term "trying to get them off" ???

Dont think they ever got off the court and back to the bleachers....maybe in front of the locker room where the boys were headed.... so either way whatever happens will happen and anyone involved will be held responsible...so its been fun playing the devils advocat with you guys, but gotta get ready for the saints victory party tomorrow night..

And oh BTW the sawdust piece, just a little saying i picked up in a very important book......you might want to look it up sometime... it will give you peace about yourself...

One more thing your boys did play well and made the shots when they needed to..

Bball rocks, he did succeed in getting them off of the court. Because they were in the stands when E-man charged into them. I really don't understand why you cant just admit the coach pushed the cheerleader and Emmanuel came into the stands and threw the first punch since there were 2 or 3 or maybe even 4 Shelbyville fans say that that exact stuff happened the exact same way. You should look it up sometime... it will give you more insight about what happened. Because when a Shelbyville person or persons admits that their players, coaches, team was wrong then their ACTUALLY TRULY WRONG since S'ville people never admit their wrong.

  5. ok sorry about me arguing about all this... my appoligies....

I just wanted to state on here what i know, and then someone calls me ignorant for what i saw...

I hate that a cheerleader got knocked down pushed down or whatever....and believe me KT has 2 girls of his own and would never do that on purpose....

and yea i was at the game... The first T came whe KT said "blow the whistle" then isiah got the next T then Kt got another one as soon as the game was over.. i saw the fans rush the floor and knew nothing good could happen from this. so i actually made my way over to that area and saw most everything....The thing that upset me the most was how most of the younger kids were there to see how not to handle themselves...

What i dont like is that you guys did nothing wrong and SCHS is the only one a fault....at least that is what everyone from LCHS is saying on here...

Bballrocks, apparently your eyes are filled with sawdust because i specifically said 10 minutes ago that it was wrong for the LC fans to storm the court, but our SRO did make them get off. How hard is that to understand?

  6. Yea don't think so.... FBI is not his cup of tea...really not sure why he is officiating either... but before calling me ignorant, read the whole post and quit writing things that i did not say.

No where in my post did i mention bottle being thrown....Come on im entitled to my own opinion just like you guys..

But since you brought up ignorance... i read on here that KT needs to lead by example...and by getting a T is not doing his players justice??? So what I am gathering here is that some of your buddies think that a good coach should never get a technical????

Correct me if I wrong on what i read....

Bballrocks, I agree with you on the 2nd paragraph. Sometimes a coach is defending his players when he gets a technical. But what they were saying about the lead by example is him getting the technical AFTER the game, and then pushing the cheerleader. Thats what they meant. But i understand where you are coming from in the 2nd paragraph.

  7. Yea don't think so.... FBI is not his cup of tea...really not sure why he is officiating either... but before calling me ignorant, read the whole post and quit writing things that i did not say.

  8. If I am not mistaken when twilley was ejected for a foul last year, andrews was tackled on the floor and no foul was called, in time a nose got busted and KT pulled Andrews from the game..

This all sounds to me that all the blame here is pointed to EA.. With that being said, is it suspicious to me or does anyone else find it bothersome that the folks at LCHS are trying to find ways to end a career of a great athlete??? Come on guys let it be.... you finally beat Shelbyville, great job.. but act like you have won before...

Now, I was there and I saw neither EA or any other player from SCHS "Go into the stands".. They did not have to go into the stands. The fans were on the court around the players...And i'm sure that the fans from LCHS, "that has never cussed or said a bad thing to another player", let the best player that they face walk right by them without one snide remark... come on, quit being so naive....

Was EA in the wrong for being upset when someone tossed water on him and calling him an ethiopien??? As far as I'm concerned he was just fighting back on what he knew what was about to happen... what?? you have about 50-60 fans all harrassing our players on the floor, that the players are only supposed to be on, and not feel anxious at all..

As far as the cheerleader im sorry that she was upset, but in the mix of all the charging the floor she was probably knocked down by her own "FANS"....KT would never push a kid to the floor on purpose.. and if you believe that then well you don't know KT at all...

I do understand that beating Shelbyville on their homecourt has to be the biggest thrill of your lifetime, but guys, at some point in your life you need to remove the plank from your eye instead of trying to remove the sawdust from mine...

What in the world are you talking about? Trying to end the career of a great athlete? What career has he ahead of him? He can't even pass high school. He cant even take the pressure of a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT SECTION, much less a college student section that consists of 200 people screaming. What are we being naive about? Our student section calls him "Jimmy", from the movie 'The Ringer'. Players get called way worse names than "Jimmy". Nobody tossed water on any of the Shelbyville players. Who would want to waste water on them? And if you didnt see any Shelbyville players go into the stands then you need to be making your way to the eye doctor to get those eyes checked. The last time i checked, student sections are supposed to yell at the opposing team and try their best to get into their head, and if the players can't handle it then they shouldn't be playing basketball at the AAA level if any level at all. Whether Coach Thomas pushed the cheerleader down on purpose or not, he still pushed her. And that is called something like "ASSAULT". You apparently have alot of sawdust in your eyes since you couldn't see the coach push the cheerleader and E-man and teammates go into the stands.

  9. The LCHS student section should not be punished, even though they were extremely out of hand by storming an opposing teams court. The LCHS admin. staff should be all that gets punished. But like when Ron Artest went in the stands a couple years back. PLayers stay on the floor, and the fans stay in the stands. Its common sense, stay where you are meant to be.

Jeff, I actually agree with you on most of this. For once lol. I agree they shouldn't have stormed the court and I'm from Lawrence County. But our SRO officer did make them get off. But at least we see eye to eye on most of this.

  10. What are the rules regarding a coach getting a T in the game and then one after? I would think he would have to sit out the next game?? Apparently not since he is coaching tonight!

I was not at the game since I have no ties to either school. Reading this thread it is apparent that Andrews did hit a a LCHS student. Why then would the Shelbyville administration allow him to play tonight? He got in a fight on school property! What would be the punishment if it happened during the school day? I would think that since this is a school function that the punishment should be the same....as it should for all students throwing punches that attend either school.

The reason he's getting to play is because their administraion does anything to win. It is apparently alright to hit an opposing teams student section member according to the principal since he called LC fans "WHITE TRASH"!

  11. I wasn't at the game but have been at LCHS vs. SCHS games in the past. I had a nephew play for LCHS a few years back and he was the target of many very rude comments by the fans of SCHS. Where was the classy adminstration from SCHS then? He was one time connected with the Special Olympics during a game at SCHS which hit close to home since he is the brother to a Special Olympian. However, the classy fans, classy administrators, etc... of SCHS want to criticize LCHS???? As for Mr. McDonalds, God forbid he play for a big time college program that is upset on the road and the fans storm the court. I understand he is a kid but as adults stop defending the actions of him or the coach. The coach pushed the girl down (no I wasn't there but have heard from the cheerleader and her attorney father) and even if it was accidental he should have been man enough to apologize to her. He didn't so in no way is he a classy guy.

I remember. Brad Daniel was the player i believe. That is really sad. And very pathetic on the part of Shelbyville.

  12. To everyone who is downing the administration at LCHS and the fans of Lawrence County: I am a fan and student of Lawrence County, and before practically every game we are reminded of what we can and cannot say, and how to act. For example: we know we cannot say "suck" or use other curse words, and cannot speak to opposing players directly. We know basketball, and we are attentive. So, whoever says that we are rednecks who show up at games just to down the other team can shove it. We are well informed and from what I can tell, did not break any rules and not exhibit the immaturity that Shelbyville showed Friday night

    I agree with you 100%.

  13. OUCH! Sorry to touch so many sore spots. You're right though It's all everybody else's fault BUT lchs's. There's absolutely nothing wrong with their behavior.

Yeah, it is totally Lawrence County's fault that Shelbyville's coach pushed down a 5 foot 95 pound cheerleader down. And it is totally Lawrence County's fault that Mr. All-American Andrews jumped into our crowd and started throwing punches FIRST!! Yeah that sounds like Lawrence County's fault genius.

  14. I can admit that from the Shelbyville standpoint that some things could have been handled differently.

Can ANYONE from Lawrence County admit that their students were ON THE COURT !!! ???

Can anyone from Lawrence County admit that their student STORMED THE COURT !!! ???

Can anyone from Lawrence County admit that they had NO ADMINISTRATION THERE TO CONTROL THEIR STUDENTS !!! ???

    Can you???

Yes. Our students stormed the court after a victory (which our students did 2 years ago after a buzzer beater win at Columbia and nothing like this came close to happening). Yes, I will admit that. Then the Shelbyville administration made them get off. Our students went and stood back in the bleachers where they had been the entire game and Shelbyville's coach stormed off (only shaking our Coach's hand) and pushed one of our cheerleaders. Accidental or not, you dont push a girl like that. Our SRO officer, which is obviously a cop, confronted their coach about it (which is what a cop should do when a GROWN MAN pushes a TEENAGE GIRL, who is 5 foot nothing and like 90 pounds); therefore, our student section started the chant "get him dorning" and the Shelbyville players started jawwing with our students, resulting in Emmanuel Andrews coming into our crowd and throwing punches (one connected with a fan and split his eyebrow open) and most his teammates followed him, which started a brawl. Thankfully Lawrence County's players were already in the lockerroom. Student sections are going to yell at the opposing team, and if you cant handle the pressure then you shouldnt be playing.

I will admit our student section was wrong by storming the court. BUT it is not their fault that Shelbyville players entered our crowd and started throwing punches. Everybody knows the true story that Shelbyville started the brawl by the Mr. McDonald All-American coming into our crowd throwing fists. On top of it all, the Principal calls Lawrence County "white trash"? It just sounds like some people are just sore losers and were real upset that Lawrence County beat Shelbyville.

  15. I can admit that from the Shelbyville standpoint that some things could have been handled differently.

  16. I follow this District and was wanting some opinions on the top players

    1. Emmanuel Andrews Shelbyville

    2. James English Columbia

    3. #4 tullahoma(sorry no name)

    4. 5. Twins from Lawrence Co.

    6. Parks Columbia

That is no order(except for andrews #1 lol) But what are yall opinions and add ons to this list....I havent seen Franklin Co yet and I know they may have 1 or 2 good players who shuld be on this list

Who are the twins from Lawrence County? What are they're numbers?

  17. I would have to say Lawrence County. Were picked to finish last in their region, not winning a game. End up beating every team in their region besides Columbia by at least 20 points. Got to their first play-off game in over 20 years. Got their first play-off win in HISTORY. Unbelievable season by the Wildcats.
