  1. Dude, I am sorry that I don't think you are the best team. Don't take it so personal. Prove me wrong and DEAL WITH IT.

Dude I never once said SH is the best team, but they are not a weak team either. Maybe you can give your pitcher some credit for holding us in check a little. But I am sure he is not your son so that won't happen. So you stat that SH is the weakiest team, what does that mean Camden is ??? Ok we won't go there. We do not have to deal with it since we are state runners up last year and back in the fling this year. Sorry if you can't DEAL WITH IT.

  2. Yes, our four runs were off homeruns that you can tell yourself were routine pop flys if that makes you feel better. We also left bases loaded twice and runners on almost every inning. Center fielder made a great catch to save two runs one inning. YOU got four of your seven runs off errors, not hitting. Your lineup definitely does not match up to Lexington's and I don't think it does to Lipscomb's. And again, I am not saying it is weak, it just isn't as good as the other two from what I saw. You may very well win state and score 20 runs a game but I didn't see it. There is no doubt you are a very good team and can beat anybody. BUT so are Lexington and Lipscomb.

Dude the number two hitter went 4 for 4 with a rbi, the #4 hitter went 3 for 4 with 3rbi and the # 9 hitter had a rbi single. So not sure what you are talking about 4 runs on errors. The other point you make is totally true, Camden left all them runners on base so I would think YOU are the week hitting team!!!!!!! Period. Spring Hill may not go all the way or they may do well, the bottom line is they are in the state playoffs and Camden is not so DEAL WITH IT. Stop trying to be a ESPN analyst and go talk to somebody if need be and DEAL WITH IT. So in closing go back to your POE DUNK city park little league field and deal with it. Have a good day and good luck to Camden next year. GO SPRING HILL!!!

  3. We played three of the teams (Spring Hill, David Libscomb, Lexington). Lexington has the best lineup and they have faced good pitching all year, but I don't know how deep their rotation goes. Spring Hill and Libscomb were both very solid. I thought Libscomb had a better lineup and the pitcher we faced was very good. Also they brought a lefty in to pitch to one lefty batter and he came in and got the job done. Spring Hill was very poised and confident. Right now I would give the edge to Libscomb between the two. Any one of the three could be dominant. We didn't face Milan, but from what I have heard from them I don't think they have the bats that Lexington does and I think they are a long shot. That is only an impression that I have gotten from listening to some games on the radio and may not be very accurate.

    Just wondering who is WE.

  4. I think this district will be as competitive, but not in the way as everyone thinks. The top three teams are so much better than the rest. Spring Hill, Marshall, and Giles will dominate the rest, with Page being an exception that might win one or two against this group. These top three teams will be competitive with each other. The rest are not very good which will amke for some interesting matchups.

Page lost the one ace they had, and i was not overly impressed with their lineup last year. Lewis has Ammons, but that is pretty much it. not solid in pitching from last year, and most teams will not let one player beat them, so if the game is close Ammons will recieve the Barry Bonds treatment this year.

The others, Hickman, Faiview, and East are all about the same talent wise. I think the difference in these teams will be experience and their coaching.

Fairview only had one senior last year and return a decent defensive lineup but they can't score. they will probaly play a lot of close game and depend on their defense to win as they do not have any thing resembling a decent pitcher.

East is East, and that says what you need to know. Stop me if you have heard this one before, but they have a new coach, who is young and in his first coaching job, who will add some discipline to the team that it needs. Seems like this is what eveyrone says about East at the start of every season, but then some parent or player gets mad and the coach is sent away. No wonder they have a hard time being competitive.

Hickman is interesting. they didnt play very well most of last year, but do have some decent players coming back. they made an unbelievable come back in a game in the district tournament last year that they could build off of, but their defense was shaky at best last year and that could hurt their chances.

So in my humble opinion, here is how i think the district finishes the regular seaosn:

    1. Marshall County (13-1) splits with SH, sweeps all others

    2. Spring Hill (12-2) splits with MC and GC, sweeps the rest

    3. Giles County (11-3) splits with SH, swept by MC, sweeps the rest

    4. Lewis County (7-7)splits with Page, swept by MC, SH, GC, sweeps the rest

    5. Page(7-7) splits with LC, swept by MC, SH, GC, sweeps the rest

    6. Hickman County (4-10)sweeps Fairview and East, loses the rest

    7. Fairview (2-12)sweeps East, loses the rest

    8. East Hickman (0-14)tough year for new coach with not a lot of talent

    WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Hickman County won a wild game last night in 9 innings. Page rallied from 5-1 in the 7th to tie it, before the Dawgs eventually won the game in the bottom of the 9th. Great effort by both teams! Any news from other games around the district?

SH 15 Lewis co 5 and Lewis co 11 SH 7. Lots of Home runs in both games. Very entertaining games.

  6. This should be a great tournament. You will have the chance to see some very good high school baseball during this 3 day tournament. Besides the host teams of Dickson County, Harpeth and Creek Wood, also competing will be 2010 Region 7-AAA semifinalist, Dyer Co.; 9-AA champion and last year’s tournament winner, Goodpasture; District 12-AAA champions Overton; Region 3-AAA semifinalist, Cookeville and Region 6-AA champions and state finalist, Spring Hill. Also competing will be Clarksville High and Station Camp. There are many other good teams playing! Come out and watch some good high school baseball at all 3 locations!

  7. How does one go about putting a player on the All State (and other postseason consideration) radar, if the player plays in a small town/community/county? Will posting statistics here help? Thank you.

This site means nothing!!! All parents and players. Your coach has a lot to do with all state selection.

  8. Spring Hill 2 Franklin 0 8 innings

    Wp Barksdale Lp Robertson

Great pitching duel, 0-0 after seven innings. Timely hits by schubert, anderson and ellis in the eight inning produced the 2 runs to win the game. Good defense and Barksdale pitching keep Franklin in ck. Had a questionable bat being used by one franklin player, this is going to happen a lot due to no clear rules by TSSAA. Umpps had no clue. Congrats to both picthers to bad there has to be a loser to this game!!!

  9. Stealing signs might well be part of Spring Hill's game but not Eagleville's. IMO that shows a lack of character for the head coach as well as his program. If that is truly "part of the game" why did the SH head coach shut his mouth when he was called out on it? I'm sure that was his terminology he used while justifing sign stealing to his team. I would think he would keep on playing his game after being called out on it if this is an acceptable practice. Have you ever wondered why there isn't a box marked off at SH for the base coaches? If there isn't a box marked off the coach can roam anywhere in foul play, notice where the grass is worn off your 3rd base line, real close to the line- enough said. Judging from this I would say we were not the first team this has happened too. You are correct about the walks, hard to defend a walk.

I am sorry to say but there is not a team in highschool, college or mlb that given the chance is not going to steal a sign. This is no church league and you want to talk about lack of character why would your coach tell your catcher to throw the ball in another's ear hole and intentionally hurt a young man! I would say that would cause a serious head injury or possible death. wow that is some real good character. The coach's box never keeps a coach in the area of the box. Watch some games and you will notice.

  10. Well we played Spring Hill for a second day and looked much better defensively, hitting was a little sluggish but not bad considering their pitcher is a David Lipscomb signee. Word of caution to anyone playing them, their coach (3rd base) will steal your catcher's signs and is not shy about it. He will call out names and numbers, names=fastball, numbers=off speed, he's a former catcher so he's sharp with it but our coach picked up on it and called him out. I know it sounds like I'm making excuses but the plate was round for us, we had a play at 3rd catcher threw down on kid stealing 3rd and our 3rd baseman caught the ball and stood there until the runner ran into the tag and was called safe, we lost 10-2

Dude, its called throwing strikes. Your pitchers could not throw strikes. They walked in 4 or 5 runs. The SH pitcher had 4 walks also so i guess the plate was round for them. lol. And your right you are making excuses, just take the defeat in stride. Eagleville has a good single A team and should do well this year. Not sure about your coach giving a free pass too load the bases with one out. Thats what killed Eagleville, put too much pressure on your pitcher that was doing very well agaisnt the SH bats !!!! You also got that play back when your firstbaseman dropped the ball and the umpire called the runner out, towards the end of the game. Stealing signs is also part of the game, if the catcher shows the sign in wide open what do you expect, that boils down to coaching!!! Who in their right mind has 1 finger for fastball and 2 fingers for offspeed in high school anyways, thats little league. Boils down to coaching again!!! Excuses excuses deal with it and go on. Have a great day.

  11. These two teams play each other tomorrow at the Loretto tournament. Who wins? Laster should no be pitching this game because he pitched last night and i believe Adams is pitching tonight. Cornersville still has Crowell though. Should be a good game.

What about the freshman that throws in the low 90s and the mlb is watching!!! lol and hit 750 in middle school.I beleive his name is jessie phillips

  12. Jesse Phillips-Cornersville....... outstanding freshman already throwing in the lower 90s with a wicked sick knuckle ball. Hit .758 last year in middle school with a 16-0 record on the mound and a .05 era. This dude is a big time prospect as a freshman and should be a really good addition to the cornersville pitching staff :thumb:

Whatever, you need to come back down to earth! Also get your eyes checked , lower 90s lol

  13. How did Spring Hill look against Central? And do you know of any other teams scrimmages?

David Horne of Central( UT signie) shut them down the first 3 innings and they never looked back winning 7-1. SH pitching looked good just had a lot of walks toward the end of the game. Central is a very good aaa team and should do well this season. Lots of pitching!!!!! SH plays in Mount Pleasant tonight and should be a good game. Blackman on thurs.
