  1. Well bigmoney128 how you been?? If I recall correctly you said you would talk on NSD 2011! Guess what Cody is going to play in the ACC. So it time to man up say you are wrong! Go back and read all your old post: "Such as Cody may play NAIA maybe D3 but not D1" Noway he plays in the Sec or ACC"

"Cody is NOT D1 material" What you got to say now.

Also congrats to Mike Thrower on signing with Wilson College!

  2. Since Michael Thrower is my son, I will respond. Yes, he is in serious trouble, especially @ home! He has apologized to all involved for his foul language and will accept the punishment his mother and I, the school and coach hand down.
    .

Thanks for clearing things up. I hope the best for Michael. I hate this happened.

  3. Cody seems like he is really doing some great things down in WC. Here is his offer list.

    1.Duke

    2.Syracuse

    3.Vanderbilt

    4.MTSU

    5.WKU

    6.Memphis

    7.Tulane

    8.UTC

Also these are in no particular order. I am always happy when a hometown TN kid is doing so well.

Man what a awesome list of schools!!!He must be feeling great!!congrats to him and his family!!! has he decided yet?

Last I heard he was taking visit. I don't know when he will commit.

  4. Ok, I have broken my promise, but I cant hear any more with making a comment. Fans of WC, your athletes and the ones in Rutherford County are NOT the same in football and basketball. I dont care if you are in the weight room until midnight and on the practice field 6 hours a day.

You are "somewhat" thriving in 6AAA, but if you were in with Rutherford County schools you d have a goose egg on district wins. They are nice young men and women that will be great people in life but they dont compare athletically. Did you not learn that the last 8 years?

Terrence Martin was an awesome athlete in high school, but look where is he going. NOT AN SEC, ACC or Big name school. But you know what, thats ok but its a means to an end. He is getting his college PAID for. Terrence will not play in the NFL, but his degree will open lots of doors.

Cody will have the same opportunities, but lets NOT get on here and blow this young man up so big that when he gets a great offer from a smaller school to play ball and GET HIS DEGREE; that he thinks hes a failure because he couldnt finish the deal and land an SEC ride.

Good grief, guys schedule some winnable games in 2011 and make a run for the district/region in these sports and support the coach and quit stabbing him in the back. You have a great school and some great kids there be happy with the best they can give while realizing your limits.

Just watched this kids tapes he looks like a great player. After reading the other post he seems like he has everything else going to.

I dont think him playing D1 is the question here. He will have plenty D1 offers. Where he will play is the question. I would to see him at UT playing guard beside Aaron Douglas at tackle. I think they would be a great pair. Big money have you been around D1 players before?

I think they would be a good combo. It will be interesting were he decides to go.

  5. utchuckd How Many coaches are remembered or considered great with 5 straight 4-6 records? NONE My biggest complaint with WC is that the coaches hang their hats on going 4-6 five years in a years in a row and making 4 straight play-offs and being a tune up for the # 1 ranked team.

IMO the difference in a contender and a pretender is the extra work put in. I don't believe our coaches stayed late and watched any film or made preporations to win, however neither did most of the players. Everyone must be 100% commited from the Coaches to the janitor that cleans the lockeroom. Everyone must buy into the strategy set by the coaches likewise our coaches must sell it.

I agree with WCsports we don't help our players. We dont help them fulfill their fullest potential. I am glad WC finally has a noteworthy recruit. I think him going to play willl help open doors for many other kids in Warren County.

The past is history. A new erra of WC football is about to open. IMO WC football future is very bright. I am very excited about the upcoming season. GO PIONEERS!!

  6. Let me hit you with some knowledge on Cody. He has broken ALL of Warren Countys weight lifting records and broke the overall weight EVER LIFTED as a Sophomore and then broke it again last year.

What was his total weight lifted and on what lifts??? :flower:

I believe it was around 1,220 lbs on bench press, squat and power clean.

Also I just heard Tommy Johnson got the WC coaching job. Can anyone confirm this?

I think you may be correct. I have heard through the grape vine we shall know very soon. I would like to see a little more aggresive D next year by the pioneers.

  7. Since it has already been brought up about the best athlete. Who do you guys think is the top 3 best football players ever to play in Warren County.

    Mine are

    1 Cody Robinson

    2 Danny Martin

    3 Jeff Womack

These top 3 are all amazing athletes it is hard to put them in order.

    Let’s hear you guys.

    1. Jeff Womack

    2. Dennis Mix

    3. Glenn Powers

I admit I was too young to see Powers play, but from what i have heard from people who know local football he was special.

From all I have heard Robinson is the real deal, out of respect to all the other great pioneers that have suited up in the past we should at least wait until he has finished his career before we crown him the greatest of all time.

    1. Cody Robinson

    2. Danny Martin

    3. Glenn Powers

Before I get bashed for this one. I am basing this on there performance all going into their senior year of HS.

  8. Wow  this thread is a little overboard don’t you think. I mean Cody is a decent player. But He will do good to play ANY WHERE at the next level. Let alone a big college.

You are a jack ***. Yeah I said it. I actually just saw Cody a few minutes ago in wall mart. I talked to him about him being recruited and stuff. I asked him if he had heard about all the talk about him. He said “ yeah I hear about it but I don’t read that stuff, the game is played on a 120 yard by 53 and a 1/3 yard field between those white lines. Not in the newspapers or a chat room. Obviously if people take the time to post stuff about me I have stuck out in their minds. I kinda like to hear the negatives sometimes because they push me to work harder.” Spoken like a true CHAMPION.

  9. How long has Cody played football? Does he play any other sports?

I believe he has played football since he was 7 years old. He did track last year and made it state. Cody used to wrestle he won a couple of middle school State Championship but TN has 285lb weight limit. I know he played a lot more sports when he was younger. Very athletic young man.
