  1. Do I think they have an agenda! Do you know if they don't? I never said they did but the real question is do they have the ability to be bias? But that is a different issue/thread altogether. My complain is their air of arrogance, their sense of godliness! What match was it where one of the refs called a stalling call in the first 10 seconds of the match! 10 seconds! And they proceed to rob that kid of his chance of winning the championship. The kid lost 3-2! The boy he wrestled scored no point at all in that match ZERO. The boy who won the championship did NOT score a point! All 3 of his points were given to him! By whom the REF! Since we are on this air of arrogance how does 4 coaches and 1 fan get warning calls on them, with one of coaches getting a team point taken away in ONE round of championship matches? Other than those coaches and the parent not coming on this board (that I know of) and screaming at the top of their lungs how else can one voice their thoughts? I can understand why they are not doing it! They know their teams would be discriminated against. And don't tell me that those refs would not do it! Again this is the air of godliness the refs exhibit. My rant and raving has nothing to do with not appreciating the refs for doing a hard job but instead it has to do with the mannerism at which they do it. If I wanted to talk about all the bad calls they made at the tournament I would be here all day! But that is just the nature of the beast. And you mention P.A. Bowler as if he is perfect! P.A. is human and if what those coaches said, he said is true then he just proved my point!
  2. Yeah great post Summa. Way to justify why it is ok for a ref to feel like god! That makes no sense, maybe they should take the hint that they are not there to pick a winner and then do everything they can to make the kid win but instead to enforce the rules. What I saw at that tournament was just that! Had it been on one match not such a biggie but we are talking at least 5 matches in the championship round where they did their level best to help out one kid or another. Just one quick example I saw, the 119 weight class. If you don't know what happened in that match then maybe you should keep your mouth shut and stop justifying things that are obviously wrong with the system. I will give you this "refs do have a hard job in a harsh environment" but they PICKED TO BE A REF NOT GOD!
  3. Since we have gotten off the topic at which this thread first started I thought I would bring it back to focus. The Refs at the tournament were absolutely horrible!! I have been with this sport for 30+ years and the championship round of this tournament was beyond horrible!! Someone is going to come on here and tell me that since this is my first post I should shut up and not complain about the refs. Forget you! I have the right to speak my mind!!! Someone is going to come on here and defend the refs. Forget you! This is why these refs have gotten the attitude of "BEING GOD" Refs have to be accountable for their actions and if we do not have a place to voice our concerns then they will become gods in their own mind and at matches. They are not gods but yet mediators to the matches and rules. I was at the matches and I did see how they determined the outcome of several of the championship matches by their calls. I also got to see first-hand at their arrogance at which they treated not only the coaches but also the parents of the wrestlers. I talked to several of the coaches and heard first-hand from them of how they over heard the refs "laughing at how stupid the coaches were acting." It is not like people can complain and really honestly be heard and it would not matter since one of the people who was overheard making fun of the coaches was P.A. Bowler himself. If he was acting the way some of the coaches were talking about then how can there be any change??
