  1. Go ahead slaphappy and elaborate. Nobody rips a coach as well as the fine folks in Morristown. I see where you finally lost a conference game and have dropped to 20-6 on the season. Less with more. That's funny. Did you make that up or was that from the booster meeting minutes. Regardless, I'm sure you are dying to say more.
  2. I guess it is just me by myself, but since big conference day, I will continue to entertain myself. I like Cocke County over West today in a mild upset. Cocke County is way over due and West just not able to overpower them. Too many West errors lead to Cocke County victory (5-3) Best game of the day should be East and Cherokee. MOBUCK lied to us and Cherokee is better than most think. I look for big let down from East today after overpowering their cross town rivals. I'll take Cherokee big (like 9-2). My Eagles have a much needed breather in Sevier County; however, since we can't score - I'm actually picking Sevier to beat us 2-1. With all this said - remember it is 4/1. Way funnier than a frog joke
  3. MWTFAN - sounds like butt kick but it happens from time to time. You got to believe you can beat the team at the top. I thought your emotional victory over Cherokee might give you enough confidence to go compete, but maybe next time. You need some more success. My screaming Eagles can't score. Lost 1-0 in heartbreaker. Pitching is our strong suit, but we got to find a way to manufacture some runs. We definitely don't have a high power top of lineup like East. For the rest of you, I'm 4-0 on the season, but it's no fun to predict and talk smack when nobody else is. Of course, its hard to talk smack when you get beat and third looks like the best you could finish. GO EAGLES
  4. Does nobody predict games besides me. Great call yesterday. Cherokee over Sevier today. East in a close one over West. I wish my Eagles could defeat Jefferson today, but with run production struggling so much, I don't think we are up to the challenge. GO IMAC
  5. HUGE week in the IMAC - Its on except for South Doyle who sits out the fray this week. I assume that Cherokee and West are cancelled for today, but hopefully someone will post confirmation. East and West tomorrow has to be fun. I would love to see those two schools go at it. Jefferson will let my Eagles know where we stand. Contending or pretending. Cherokee and West should be awesome - I'll take West in a game of who makes the least mistakes.
  6. Stormy22 - Canes laid an Egg - there must be a joke in there somewhere. What makes a team like that not come to the park ready to play. You have so much youth and so many pushing for position, it seems that motivation wouldn't be an issue. We all got our problems I guess. Cocke County got after us, but Graham settled down and did what she normally does. We are a long way from East, but we are finding our way. Lance, I looked up your post from last year. You guys were hillarious. I want that kind of IMAC fun this year. Come out and play with us. Get it together Stormy and beware of my screaming Eagles. MOBUCK, we need more Cherokee report. I think they are very similar to my Eagles.
  7. Jefferson - how do you give up 8 runs to Doyle? And East - how you get beat by an average DB team? Top of the IMAC looking a little less overpowering today. You guys still the class of our conference, but you better tighten up soon. My Eagles are not overpowering but they won't hand you a game either. Can't wait to hear your report Stormy. Was that Wilmoth on the mound or does she just pitch conference? Either way, can't imagine that DB scored 4 on either of those girls - but you definitely should put up more than 3. Hey 67 - did Leon pitch? Give us a report. Doyle is solid, but 8 is a bunch for them.
  8. Okay MOBUCK - Im glad first one to score didn't win. You had us where you wanted us and then the wheels fell off. You guys have as many scoring troubles as us - just not a deep enough lineup that can consistently score runs - maybe the mark of youth, but I don't know. Anyway - great to get an IMAC victory. Lots of work to do.
  9. Mobuck - I hope you are what the doctor ordered - my screaming Eagles need to get untracked soon. First one scores wins. My vote for bad mamma jamma is South Doyle - I bet IMAC isn't used to softball double header. Taking on Jefferson and Cocke on the same day is gutsy. I can't wait to see how Jefferson stacks up. They seem pretty good on paper. COME ON EAGLES.
  10. Mobuck dear - you have no idea what I think like. I guess I'm just gagging on the East love fest. Maybe I'm just jealous - we need to work on throw, catch, and hit and Stormy needs to work on bunt coverage, backing up, and what color uniform to wear. Unicoi should let you know where you are at today. Fly the flag East, but the IMAC isn't ready to roll over and hand you the crown just yet.
  11. Good gosh Stormy22 - I don't know whether to laugh or throw up. You been in hiding for a few weeks, but that great start with wins over those tradional East TN powers of Cocke, Sevier, and North Greene has got you fired up. Did you say Wilmoth is best pitcher in entire state? I mean she is a quality flinger, but come on now. Of course, the way the IMAC is hitting, it may be awhile before she finds out. So you are saying that you girls learned all the fundamentals during travel ball (base running, backing up throws, etc), but suddenly forgot when they got to high school - you cracking me up friend. You are afraid that sub-state is as far as you can go - you guys sure have raised the level of expectation in Morristown. Don't take me too serious Stormy - we are a bit down after a much sluggish start. Apparently, we have much more to work on than you - but we are capable. Anyway - thanks for all the laughs Stormy. I hope you get your coaches trained.
  12. that's deep buckhead Long season for my Eagles if we can't learn to hit soon. We are pitiful, but its early. West fan, can't worry about Bucky as he may find out that he is the biggest loser. Its easy to crow when you never take the field. PS Blah Blah Blah
  13. Quiet observer - sounds like you guys were taking batting practice. Good win. My Eagles finally get to mix it up in the IMAC but taking on an old foe in South Doyle. I'm not feeling IMACed up yet, but I'm sure I will in time. We are still having trouble scoring runs, but hopefully we won't be throwing batting practice in the IMAC. Sevier travels to East for IMAC opener. I guess they need to keep the bus running. East just too much offense right now. Looks like everyone has opened with the exception of Jefferson and Cherokee. You guys can't hide forever or maybe you can. Has anyone seen MOBUCK. Be scared my friend - these are dangerous days even for my screaming Eagles - but at least we got pitching.
  14. What's up IMAC - you guys don't make predictions. I read your old post from last year and my big question is where is all the shinanigans. I guess where are all those old posters - I guess their players graduated. No guts - no glory. I wonder how long it will take before I get tired of reading my own post. My wife says no one listens to me anyway - so I guess some things never changed. At my age - who cares about bored old papaw. By the way - I'm 2-0. Bask in my glory and soon to feel the wrath of my screaming Eagles.
  15. Opening day and no Cherokee, Jefferson, or my screaming Eagles - I guess we save the best for last. Cocke County at East - I like East as I will most of the year. Runs may be a premium early in season but East pitcher just too good for them. South Doyle at West - I really like South Doyle in this one, but then again, I'm used to seeing them play. I saw West in play day and they have many holes; however, they can sneak up on you - which is what happens early in season - so, I'll take West. Now let's get this party started. GO IMAC
  16. Hey Wildthing92 - Bold prediction for your Trojans, but I like it. A little IMAC confidence and no fear leading into the season. Everybody got it including myself - except for MOBUCK who cries more than Lou Holtz. I can accept that if you can assure me that you can score runs like the West teams of the last couple of years. I just don't know where enough offense will come from and I'm afraid, the defense is a little weaker as well. Lots of pressure on their pitching, but outside of that, they are a team that can slip up on you. Just wondering if they can do it day in and day out.
  17. You are correct MOBUCK but don't be so hard on your Chiefs. Then again, I'm not falling for the old indian trick. East definitely the cats meow. Their JV team looked great last weekend. Can't wait to see all those basketball players - then again, be careful what you wish for. Eagles getting busy this weekend. We got some pretty good young players that makes the season look promising; although, I think we are still a year away from getting into stride. Things starting to heat up (mostly the weather).
  18. Mobuck - you guys are holding out. Bluelady suzie says dark horse for 3rd. I'd say the name of that horse is BLACKIE. What you wagering bluelady? Dropped in on Powell playday - very interesting. South Doyle looks solid as I expected. East and West going 3-1. Hmmmmmmmmmmm............ Good performance, but not enough to scare the Eagles. I guess you guys still got girls in hoops. Let me know about Blackie -- Bluelady
  19. MOBUCK - King is the girl I was trying to think of. How good is your pitching when you have 3 pitchers from Little League World Series and none of them start - how crazy is that. I've seen King, Black, and catcher (I think Emily) in travel - Those three know how to swing a bat. The Horner girl signed with ETSU - she is a great hitter as well. I have about decided that the number 2 East team could probably finish second - hahaha. Eagles going to have to eat their Wheaties - as will everyone else in IMAC. Let's get this dang thing started. MOBUCK - so your Freshman pitcher sounds interesting. Chiefs maybe better than you let own. Sandbagging - I'm watching you.
  20. Scooby you are refering to Mallory Black and she pitched against your Unicoi team at the Eastman last year losing 3 to 2 in the semi's. Thunder360 give us a scouting report on Seymour! All in due time MOBUCK. Not nearly as good as you make the Eagles out, so I jump on the band-wagon too. I believe one senior lost from a .500 team last year. Heavy sophomore load sure to be in this group. Whaley is SO pitcher, but not ready for the IMAC assault. Real good freshman pitcher coming in - but as many teams with good pitching - difficult to score runs. I think you will find Seymour similar to South Doyle. Not sure that either are in the top of IMAC. Certainly not the depth of East High. How about your Chiefs Mobuck. They know the problem of good pitching and difficulty in scoring, but of course, no Gilbert at Seymour. Who are the new coaches bringing energy to East? Is Wilmoth the other girl that pitched in World Series with Black? I say beware of Jefferson, but I think East is class by itself; however, they have been known to drop some they shouldn't. Should be exciting year.
  21. Hey, Barney Fife since you have been snooping around, I will help you out East starting pitcher is a senior her name is Rachel Wilmoth and West chances of finishing 2nd are slim to none! Not so quick Andy - don't count the Trojans out too quickly; however, I do think a lot depends on the status of their shortstop. She is a one man wrecking crew. She refuses to lose and I don't expect that team to roll over and play dead. Seymour and South Doyle are better than most in the IMAC realize and yet the IMAC is better than what these new additions expect. At 43 feet, you better be packing pitching as well as the defense to back it up. With that said, I like East for all of the above reasons plus they have the most offensive fire power in the league - giving their good pitching some priceless breathing room. I like your early pics MOBUCK, but I almost like Jefferson second. They certainly aren't deep enough, but they have enough that can put together a tough lineup in spurts. Their pitching is solid. I even like those in the bottom pack. Cherokee pitching is down but not out and some quality players scattered throughout. The loss of the best pitcher in East TN and their inability to score runs drops them down. Heck, even Cocke County can be dangerous. Not enough help for the two leaders, but their pitcher has trimmed up and looks like a mean, lean, fighting machine. I can see them slipping up on teams, but also unable to score. Maybe I like (East, Seymour, Jefferson, Doyle, West, Cherokee, Cocke, Sevier) I'm glad to be in the IMAC this year. Look forward to getting under way.
