forrest had a double header with boyd to get them out of the way. first game was 11-1, second game was 30-1. it got really ugly. forrest also pounded mt. pleasant yesterday with a 12-2 run rule after 5.

forrest scrimmages @ marshall co. tomorrow afternoon. they have a lot of questions and a lot more possible ways of answering them. forrest's line up is probably gonna change every game. just one of those teams where there is literally a battle for every single position on the field. forrest also scrimmages summertown and loretto next week so we'll see who shows up to take over ALL starting positions. good luck to everyone

This is a poor reflection on your school Perhaps you should do a little research on your school's founder, Nathan Bedford Forrest, before getting so upset over racist comments. perhaps you should catch up with the times cougar. that was over 100 years ago. have you heard of the emancipation proclamation? that's a pretty lame way of trying to make up a come back... its like you read my little quote up there and freaked out yelling "oh my god"... o wait its MTCS so was it "oh my slaw?" or something like that??? anyways, this is you ---> "oh my slaw!!! the founder of forrest started the kkk over 100 years ago and 100 years later some students from there went nuts when one of their african american students was called a n@**$%... i didn't know that schools in the south that were founded by slaveholders changed their views on african americans over the past 100 years. i didn't know that people changed with the times." sounds pretty stupid now doesn't it? that's me when i read your reply. have a good day. and better luck next time.

you can't say anything about any student section without hurting their feelings, either that or they're not that "good" of a student section.

facts? who ever said i had all facts? the supposed "fight with eagleville" is a rumor i had heard during the ball game, i am sorry for you taking that the wrong way. also, what rockets7 said about cascade is true, forrest/cascade is definately one of the biggest rivalries in the mid-south. and now my understandings of the forrest/mcewen game... where the forrest student section was standing were a few east robertson locals that we didn't feel like bothering so we saw open space on mcewen's side so we moved. at halftime, many forrest students had to walk in front of mcewen's student section to get to the concession stand/bathroom/etc. many forrest students were bumped or shoved purposely (by my judgement). students retaliated by mouthing off because that's what students do. the little skirmish was being taken care of until a 30-40 year old man comes running after a forrest student throwing punches. two men grab the man while I (yes me) grabbed the 18 year old he was after and try to push him out of harm's way. then two forrest teachers ran in front of the mcewen section trying to get the enraged man ejected and they were nearly ejected themselves, which seems just ridiculous. does it not??? the third quater began and no one was ejected... after the game a few forrest students were yes, looking for a fight, in retaliation for the halftime scuffle. now from what i've heard from the students that confronted the bus, yes the bus driver called the african american a dumb (what rockets7 said) and all heck broke loose. the bus driver was ganged up on, etc... that is my story on the situation from what i saw at halftime and what i have heard from many about the "brawl" now i'd like to address my comment about "sending a few more teenagers"... that was during a laughing matter with friends of mine while reading about this topic. i do apologise if i offended any of ye warrior faithful. also, this does not reflect forrest high school... you know what? screw it yes it does. we are a group of enthusiastic high school students who don't like taking crap from anyone, but sometimes we like to take it a little too far in retaliation. at halftime mcewen ticked us off, our "fighting few" took it way too far after the game and they all know that, although this IN NO WAY regulates the student's actions after one was called a dumb n@**!$. it is simply THE FACT that some forrest students are willing to face the consequences of getting revenge. they will face those consequences and then say "it was worth it"... so say what you want because these were forrest students defending personal pride! don't mess with forrest! end of discussion! bring on the hate mail!!! p.s. good luck Mcewen, yall played a great game.

Talked to someone at East Robertson who was at game and close to situation/administration and my understanding is as follows - some sort of altercation at halftime as Forrest fans confronted McEwen folks. That died down but at some point adminstration removed some Forrest fans from the game. Those fans left but then went around to the pass gate and confronted the McEwen pep bus. Two particular Forrest individuals attempted to board the McEwen pep bus and the bus driver's husband tried to stop them at which point he was attacked by the two Forrest fans, who were joined by between 4-6 other people from Marshall County. He sustained a cut over his head and a black eye. Another juvenile for McEwen was hit and two Forrest people were taken into custody. Would suspect from my information that TSSAA has been/will be contacted and more information trying to be gathered for possible arrests of Forrest associated fans. Also vandalism to a McEwen school van believed to have been committed from one of the inidividuals taken into custody from Forrest. Not present at game but as I wrote, information from pretty good source affiliated with tournament. When the Forrest students were walking by their student section they were shoved first, I saw it with my own eyes. and forrest students aren't just gonna be pushed around, neither should students from any school. So of course they retaliated. And then two grown men from the Mcewen crowd tried coming after the minors. And the situation outside was not just forrest looking for a fight. A few of their students were mouthing on the bus when our boys started mouthing back. And then the grown man shoved the boys so they sent a message......

Pathetic? I think it's pretty pathetic when a thirty or forty year old man makes a racial remark at an eighteen year old boy...much less a bus driver. and from what i hear this is strike two for Mcewen and their fans. Didn't they just get in a fight with eagleville as well? And i watched as a few boys were walkin pass their student section and grown men were bumping into teenagers....thats pathetic. Mcewen needs to grow up and before we send a few more Forrest teenagers down there to take on some more grown men:)

good call rockets7, especially about our student section (best ever with no class) forrest was just too hot from the field. hopefully we'll keep it goin for tomorrow night against mcewen... no trash talkers from them?? good GO ROCKETS!

clarkville academy shouldn't have a problem with cascade short of a miracle but anything can happen... forrest vs. mcewen is gonna depend on forrest's deep shot. they've lived and died by the 3 for all postseason and so far they're still alive. so hopefully forrest can keep making them fall. if not, it could be a long ride home. GO ROCKETS!!! by the way, does anyone know if we're playing at white house or east robertson??? i've heard both all week.
