  1. Its not that im in denial. I was at the game and the difference between ripley winning and losing was a hand in anthonys face. Everytime he shot the ball no one was within 8 feet of him. The times that a defender was close he wouldn't shoot because he steps into his shots and has a slow release.
  2. He had Ripley in the same one three one zone that almost killed them against jcm. Lee at the front of it running from side to side was killing him. No one contested any of anthonys shots. As far as the matchup thing of lee and anthony, lee worked for every point he got. As far as big men, Tarius Johnson was outplayed the whole night by Rocko Winbush. Rocko fronted him in the paint and outrebounded him. If half of anthonys shots were contested, Liberty would have been on the opposite end of the scoreboard. Ripley had the better team.
  3. I couldn't tell why his name is not out there. I guess u jus have to call it flying under the radar cause the kid is definately one of the top prospects in tennessee.
  4. What are your thoughts on the game tonight vs. Ripley?
  5. Not saying who's gonna win. I just kno it'll be a good game.
  6. Put like this. Bolivar beat covington by 2. In Overtime. That tells u about Covington. Ripley beat covington by 22 in the district championship. That tells u about Ripley. Bolivar and Liberty has their hand more than full. The Tigers and Chargers are good if not better than Bol. and Lib. Its just that no one knows about them. But is u drive about 30 minutes north of Memphis, believe me these 2 teams are making alot noise. State Tournament noise.
  7. Yes Bolivar beat Covington in Overtime. By 2. Covington has improved drastically since then. Derrick Walker is gone but thats not all they had. Now u have Carl Mckenzie thats a beast down low and outside thats averaged 30plus points after the Christmas break. Then u have lester gude who is a high flyer and will take off on u if u gets near the paint. He can also shoot the 3. And lets not forget about the assassin they have from the outside in Claybohn. In the district championship vs. ripley he score 11 points in less than a minute bringing covington within 4 from a 15 point deficit. But Ripley was too much for them beating them by 22. Please don't sleep on Ripley and Covington. Just because Liberty and Bolivar are household names doesn't mean they're gonna run ova these district 13AA teams. If u drive north on highway 51 and ask around Ripley and Covington are household names. And are just as good if not better than Bolivar and Liberty. Im looking for it to be a 13AA championship all ova again. Covington ova Bolivar by 10.
  8. Deandre Mckinney is a good kid and very effective. Whenever he touches the ball u can count on him taking it to his defender attacking the bucket. He's only a sophomore and Ripleys starting small forward. And believe it is gonna come down to whos the better coach. No ripley hasnt played alot of the teams that Liberty and Bolivar has played but that doesn't mean they can't compete. The Memphis Tigers are conference usa and doesn't play the top teams everyone else plays but did that stop them from making it to the championship game? Everyone is talking about Tarius Johnson. Yes he's good but what about Quentin Lee? Johnson and Lee started on the same AAU team during the summer Ranking number one in the state and 8 in the United States. Which Lee had to go toe to toe with White Stations Joe Jackson while johnson battling Ridgeways Tarik Black. Jackson ended up with 27 while lee put in 23. Tarius may dominate Ripleys big men but Libertys guards is gonna catch heck with Lee. So Liberty is not gonna dominate Ripley like everyone is thinking. Dont count Ripley out cause they're good.
  9. They have one of top point guards in the state in Quentin Lee. If it wasn't for his second half performance vs jcm saturday night it would've been the tigers last night. 25 of the 44 point belonged to him with 20 coming in the second half. As far as big men, I haven't seen too many players with the heart that these guys play with. James Cohill reminds me alot of Ron Artest. Great defender, aggressive down low and can shoot the 3ball. They have a deadly shooter from the outside in Jacoby Harris. Once he gets it to fall from the outside you betta believe there are several more to follow. And big man in the middle. Rocko Windbush. First year playin organized ball and you can never tell it. You can just about count on 10 to 15 points, 6-10 rebounds, and a couple of blocked shot. He battles.
  10. Im going with Ripley on this one.
