Franklin is getting a super great guy that will bring lots of energy to the program. He has lots of football knowledge and leadership qualities. He was Gallatin's special teams coordinator. The official announcement should come in the next day or two.

Funny story about playing Glencliff. Hville played them about 10 years ago at Glencliff. Entire chain crew quit at half time. PA guy has the following announcement “ have you ever wanted to be part of the chain crew, now is your chance”. Fortunately 2 of our regular guys were at the game and filled in.
Another funny thing, I don't remember which year, maybe 2020, when Glencliff and Gallatin was in the same region the last year. It was getting closer and closer to kickoff time at the Wave Yard, and still no Glencliff. They finally rolled in just before kickoff, pretty much marched to their sideline, and started playing the game with zero warmups.

Ms Mondo liked the catfish at Southside. Not as good as Catfish House or Top Hog but good.
I've hurt myself a time or two at Top Hog!

Yes, that would be the way.
A Gallatin win and we are in. Seeding is up to others.
Here's what it looks like for Gallatin:
Win and they're in, and assuming Cookeville beats Wilson Central they're 3rd. If Wilson Central pulls off the improbable upset they'd be 2nd.
If Gallatin loses, they're out if Green Hill beats Mt Juliet. If Mt Juliet wins they'd be 4th.

Hendersonville wins 35-28.

He took a helmet to the knee 2 minutes before halftime last Friday. He has an MRI scheduled later in the week.

Brinkley is out this Friday.

Computer rankings
1 Gallatin 106.08 2 Mt.Juliet 105.89 3 Lebanon 105.55 4 Cookeville 101.77 5 Green Hill 101.21 6 Wilson Central 97.46 7 Warren County 87.55 Wilson County 102.53 Others 98.47 The only part of this that makes sense is 6th and 7th.

I have pondered that exact scenario this weekend. Also it is worth watching that other region. Blackman pulled an upset over Siegel that may factor into things.
Of course there's Lebanon still sitting there, assuming they beat Wilson Central this week, what happens if they pull the upset over MJ in week 9. If that happens and Gallatin takes care of business against Cookeville and WC, that would set up an interesting week 11. Lots of football to go.
It's definitely looking like Blackman will be region 3's 3rd seed, unless they can upset Riverdale.

I know this is looking ahead and we really shouldn't do that, but even if Gallatin wins out, there's a definite possible scenario they could finish 3rd and would get a road game in the 1st round. The easy scenario is Mt Juliet and Gallatin win out, and Green Hill wins all but the MJ game. MJ is 1, Wave 2, GH 3. But what if GH beats MJ, and the 3 way tie is created. The next tie breaker after head to head is overall record, and in that scenario the Hendersonville loss bites Gallatin. GH is 1, MJ is 2, Wave is 3. Shoot me for looking ahead, because there's still lots of football to go, but that's something to think about.

Better watch, they’ll drop you as soon as they get out of the region…
Or the right open weeks between the two don't allow it to work out.

But Green Hill really has'nt played anyone. So what does that really even prove? Come play the top 3 in RuCo if you want to get a true guage. Stop scheduling limp noodles like Dickson Co and that sorry Springfield team. But if you're trying to get back to the 80s-90s again that'll never happen. Not only does no one ever brag about moving to Gallatin, you're county thinks its a dump and took all the money and threw it into Liberty Creek. they sure think alot of you guys. LOL.
MOJO
My aren't we the negative nanny. Hopefully we move on now from Gallatin's terrible scheduling, the fact that nobody wants to move to the dump it is here, a place where it's impossible to ever have a winning program again, and where a great player with outstanding character was unfortunately allowed to move away.
This game is huge for both teams, and should be a really good one. It should go down to the wire, with the winner probably being the team that doesn't blink on offense in the 4th quarter. Mid 70's at kickoff, big crowd, it'll be a great atmosphere!

I think it might be close for a half but Hendersonville wins 35-14.

I want to see Gtown play either Wilson Central, Lebanon or Green Hill before I jump to conclusions how 2-4 placement will shape up in the region.
I would add at least MJ playing Green Hill to that list, to see how all 4 seeds shape up.

Will Gallatin have away bleachers open this week?
Yes the visiting side will be fully open.

If you think everybody was furious before over all the unnecessary money poured into Liberty Creek, just wait until all this gets completely out there. You ain't seen nothing yet!

Make sure you have my seat ready. Also will need 2 cheeseburgers fully loaded.
I'm pretty sure you're a good tipper so we should be able to work that out!

The visiting side is very close to being finished and should be in full operation by next Friday night.

First time posting in quite a while. Both myself and Ms Mondo have retired in the past 12 months, Ms Mondo after 38 years at HHS. We have been busy traveling and doing a lot of grandkid things. Been to 8 or 9 practices and both scrimmages. Commandos are a work in progress. Need improvement in a lot of areas especially at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Currently having a few injury issues but I am sure a lot of teams are. Scrimmaged Mt Juliet and Blackman who will both be preseason top 10 in 6-A. Both of them have very good teams, good QB’s, backs, and receivers. Also several D linemen who will be playing on Saturdays in the future. Looking forward to the jamboree Friday against ER. I suspect starters will go 1 maybe 2 series and then everyone else will play.
I've already told you this but congrats to both of you on your retirements. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the opener next Friday, and continuing our tradition over the last 13-14 or so years of meeting on the field post game, no matter who wins.
