I tell you what I do remember; state championship games. What do you remember? I know, the start of basketball season.?.?.

Just proof of what I said…. STM

But I am Happy that those kids from Page did get to experience going to the State Championship game. It’s a great accomplishment making it there.
Just thinking out loud tho, I highly doubt you even are from Franklin/Page anyways. Heck, you may originally even be from Hohenwald. Or had a kid play there when they were in the same region as LC. Lol. You just have the same old comebacks, same old paper champions comment, same “we made it to back to back championships” and running down the same town. Must not be a fan of the old coach at LC, as it seems you have followed his trail to Milan now. And I guess, by the enrollment numbers in that “Big Boy Football”, LC should just come on up to 5A with Page. Seems to be easier to make it to a SC there. Must be, since the struggle was real when Page was in 2-3A.

Let’s have a real discussion instead of you knuckleheads talking in a circle

Who has been the best defensive player in Region 5 this year

Per team that I’ve seen play:

    # 16 DE for East Hickman
    #24 ILB for Harpeth

    #16 OLB for Hickman County

    #7 OLB Loretto

    #51 MLB for Mt. P

    #2 DB for Summertown

From what I’ve seen on film #9 for Wavo

You are late to the party about PURE, homie.  See below:

Now, as far as a poor county and not affording travel, Hohenwald will schedule zero for fifty 5A Spring Hill but won’t schedule 5A Columbia even though Columbia is just down the road and they passed right by there on the way to Spring Hill. They will also schedule basketball school Obion County but will absolutely not schedule Union City. Not only that but they won’t schedule Mckenzie, Milan, Dresden or Westview even though they drove right past them on the way to Obion. I left off Lexington because they will probably have them on the upcoming schedule since they are so down. Therefore, that argument of travel doesn’t apply. There are more but those two come to mind first.

Was it a few years ago Hohenwald beat a .500 Chapel Hill team to capture the region? I noticed they aren’t on the schedule. We all just know Riverside won’t be on either the region or out of region schedule any time soon but, schools like PURE and Collinwood and Waynesboro probably will. Now that Richland has returned to the cellar, will they be scheduled next? If Loretto comes back next year and the year after, will they be moved on over into R6?

Not late, saw that. Then another post. And evidently you can’t read or you just post what you think I said. I said I agree we should schedule some tougher non region games to help prepare for playoffs. But I nor anyone else on here makes the schedules. Therefore I/We have no bearing on it nor the region/district we are in. Just like that weak district Page is in. Bottom line it is a game that is being played by High School kids. No matter the opponent, they don’t schedule them. Their Job is to go out and compete every single play. They have 4 short years of High School football to enjoy and learn the life skills it teaches. Let alone be judged by someone on here that evidently has some type of vendetta against them for what they do under the FNL’s.

Joe I like the way you operate. Bringing facts to the table. These will probably confuse pizzagirl. She doesn’t like to deal with facts. Like this one… I know a team… much larger class that some call the paper runner-ups. Lost to a little oLe 2A school in Forrest in 2016.  Then first chance they got they dropped them from their schedule. I wonder why they did this?  We’re they ducking competition??  Surely they can compete with 2A schools???  Maybe @GeneralForrest can chime in on the reason.

Here is a schedule comparison also since Page has this tougher than anyone in the state Schedule….. They play a whopping majority of 4 teams with a winning schedule as Lewis plays 3… Since as he claims, y’all shoulda went to 5A and played that tougher competition they are in. Lol…. Also for common opponent comparisons. Page beat Giles 35-34. Hardin beat Giles 34-28. Hardin also beat Pure Youth 21-14. Lewis beat Pure Youth 44-26…. And Lewis has beat Hardin in MS for  3 out of 4 years of players that are in High School at this moment… Freshman, Sophomore and Junior classes. Sooo, as I suggested last year to him, see if Page could take a ride back down to Lewis, rejoin the region and take an L as in the years past.

    Page Schedule

    Giles 6-2

    Indy- 5-4

    Franklin 1-8

    LaVergne- 3-6

    Coffee County 2-7

    Glencliff 2-7

    Lawson 3-6

    Hillsboro 6-3

    Glencliff 2-7

    Centennial 7-2

    Total 37-52

    Lewis Schedule

    Community 1-8

    Creekwood 2-7

    East Hickman 4-5

    Hickman 4-5

    Loretto 9-0

    Mt. Pleasant 8-1

    Harpeth 3-6

    Pure Youth 1-9

    Summertown 1-8

    Waverly 7-2

    Total 40-51

I don’t devalue Hohenwald. That program has consistently done that on its own. All I have done is call out the extremely weak scheduling year after year for decades.

Whatever the population density is here correlates to absolutely nothing with Hohenwalds consistent weak schedules including weak regions also dating back decades. So, don’t try to flip my argument pertaining to those intentionally weak schedules year after year into excuses of why we make it to state championship games and Hohenwald not only does not but seldom if ever makes it past the second round.

As for Milan, your boy BPM decided to bring attention to them by voluntarily jumping in and coming not only after me but my schools, Page, football program. Now we have the paper champions and the paper tigers! Lol

And don’t forget the Paper Runner Ups.
Id say no one on this site has anything to do with the scheduling of Games here. I agree that tougher scheduling should be done to improve toughness and preparation. But with a low income county and school system. We can’t just make the trip to Alcoa, Oakland, Etc… or whoever else you think LC should Schedule. Of LCs 3 non district games. Community is just plain bad. Creekwood is Very athletic, but wasn’t very good either but a 4A team. And then Pure youth below. The other 7 games are Region games. And I highly doubt as you have claimed before, LC got to choose what district they wanted to go to. No Ex coach and no TSSAA board members for you to blame.

You brought up Pure Youth and downed LC playing them. here is what I found from their schedule of the Tennessee teams. They were no slouch opponent, the most athletic team I’ve seen LC play in recent memory and their record doesn’t show if that’s all you looked at.

    Pure Academy

    Vs Haywood L 21-28.

Haywood is 7-2. Losses to Oakland and Hardin County. Currently Ranked 8th in 4A.

    Vs Cookville L 21-18

Cookeville is 6-3. Losses to Mt. Juliet, Lebanon and Stone Memorial. Currently Not ranked in 6A.

    Vs Pearl Cohn L 41-14.

Pearl Cohn is 9-0 and Ranked #1 in 4A

    Vs Hardin County L 21-14

Hardin Co is 9-0 and Ranked #4 in 4A

    Vs Blackman L 35-12.

Blackman is 3-6, not ranked, only losing team and in arguably the toughest region in the State.

    Vs Lewis Co. L 44-26

LC is 8-1. Ranked 10th in 2A and lost to Loretto.

    Vs Crockett County W 54-47.

CC is 5-4. Not ranked and losses to Huntingdon, Haywood and Dyer Co.

    Vs Walker Valley L 21-8

WV is 7-2 not Ranked in 5A. With Losses to Bradley Central(#1 in 6A) and East Hamilton

Including the Covid year, we have had excellent seasons four out of the past five seasons including this one. Try to devalue us all you want but you can’t take away us making it to and playing in the past two 5A state championship games.

Now, I don’t know the odds but there may be a chance to reclaim the paper champion’s title Friday. Good luck!

Call it what you want. You devalue Lewis and all of a sudden Milan… I guess that Growth of Williamson County hasn’t helped at all considering the last 4-5 years you talk about…. No one here in Lewis claims to be unbeatable. What is asked of these kids is to go out and compete night in and night out each Friday in the fall as we teach our kids to compete every day in life. It is probably once every 8-12 years these kids have a chance to compete for a State Title realistically. You unrealistically think a small town like Lewis county can consistently produce athletes to do this year in and year out as some of these schools like Page, TS, Indy, Summit, Brentwood, BA, etc do… These small towns can’t just load up a team in any given sport that happens to all play on the same AAU, Travel Baseball, whatever, and just call their buddies up who knows the head coach at the other HS and load up your High School team. And don’t act like it’s not happening there. My kids have played up there with some of those teams/organizations and the recruiting through the travel programs is real there. So Congratulations on your Runner up Paper-Recruiting silver trophies. Your the real hero on here.

Have to figure out just how good MTP is and to an extent Loretto. Either R5 is the toughest ever or everyone is bad and everyone’s out of region schedule is terrible.

Who knows, playoffs w R6 will be the tell all. But instead of giving R6 credit for being good you can just bash how weak R5 is if they clean house or go 3-1 in the first round as predicted. Too bad Page isn’t hanging out in this weak district with Lewis anymore… They would have to sit at home as the 5 seed in this weak Region 5 and watch em all go down or at least Lewis in Round 1. Ohhh, lemme guess, they will be looking to go back to the State Championship for the 3rd year in a row….. No credit to Williamson Co for being one of the largest growing cities in the nation. I’m sure that has nothing to do with the high in-fluctuation of athletes from the growth of Travel sports in that area also…

All the way to the state championship?

Is that gym warm down there in Hohenwald? It is going to be cold on us in Chattanooga but, I gotta tell you, it's nice to play in the semi-finals and win then play for the gold ball!

How basketball season going over there little brother? We cranked it up too but football is still going on over here. I know you wouldn't know about that but it's awesome to be playing this far into the season/playoffs.

Region Champions. Semi-final game. State championship game. How did Fairview do this year?

When is the last time Fairview made it to the semis? What about the state championship?

How is playing in the state championship a fraud?

    Chattanooga bound!

Not even a top 10 huh? But yet, playing for the gold ball. How did Milan fair this year?

Richland beat page? Out by second round? Can you just imagine if we were in 2A???? When is the last time Hohenwald made it to the semis? Even better question, when was the last time they made it to the state championship?

Fraud huh? State championship game, fraud? Not like Fairview, however?

Round two? What about quarter finals, semi finals and then state championship? #### a doodle doo!

Typically, frauds do not make it to the state championship game, typically!

But playing for that gold ball, in 5A!

4th seed huh? Generous? What about state championship game?

Hmmm, beat who we needed to beat to play the best of that side of the state who beat the best who beat the best. It must really bother you to read about us while you are in that basketball gym.

We probably could if said jockstrap was going to Chattanooga to the State Championship game!

Paper Champion you say? Do paper champions make it to the State Championship game?

Toilet paper, paper champions, huh? All I have to say about that is, "State Championship"!

You say horrible? Is a State Championship game contender really horrible?

Congratulations moron! You proved even yourself wrong…. I guess a team can make it to the Ship with a weak schedule.. who woulda thought??. But congrats to the Page players and coaches!! Hard a hard fought win to make it last week. But your still a clown that still lives with your momma lol

Ha Ha, I bet you the entire season that you are including Fayetteville's record and Riverside just to skew your data!!!

This is not so funny, it's too funny! You add in the only two teams that are even worth anything on the entire 10 team schedule!!! And, try to make it out like I am wrong!

    #paperchampions!

You literally have mental issues. You are constantly whining saying they have no tough teams on their schedule and then suddenly want to take the 2 tougher teams off their schedule when comparing with Pages weak schedule. Literally got lucky that Giles had COVID or they woulda mopped up Page and conveniently didn’t reschedule. Lol Fayetteville would demolish Page also. Y’all would also lose to Parsons. I’m also willing to bet they lose at least one of the next 2 games, if not both. They will be sleeping on Nolensville and Indy who has had a monster schedule to play. I’m sure we will hear you whining behind that screen…

I just looked at Richlands schedule and yep, just as I thought. You are talking about a football team that got beat by Summertown, a girls basketball school! Lol

Can my point(s) be made any more clearer? Better?

All that means is Page would lose to Richland and Summertown in Football and Basketball. Great point!

  13. Food for thought…

Columbia wins 35-14 over Mount Pleasant…..

Last week, Page defeats Columbia 42-35 in a down to the wire game…..

Also last week, Richland defeats Mount Pleasant 42-0…….

PizzaBoy always downs Richland as a weak team LC schedules. The real questions are….

How bad would Richland beat Page?

Are Regions 5-2A, 6-2A better than Region 6-5A???

Will Page be out by 2nd Round and off to basketball?

Good thing Page isn’t in 2A in either district. Back to being a 2A whipping boy for Page

  14. 22 minutes ago, Pizzpatriot2 said:

Ah, so, the swap in regions for 2013 was just a fluke?

It doesn’t matter, really; because you can’t defend that Lewis County is ALWAYS IN A WEAK REGION AND ALWAYS SCHEDULES WEAK OUT OF REGION GAMES! I have been telling that for years and years. Laugh out loud, you guys are making excuses now and want me to prove what I have already proven while you call me names and do everything you can to nullify what I have put on display for all!

Lewis was in 3A in 2013. Cutoff for 2A was 499. Lewis had 503 students, one of the bottom 3 schools in that classification as far as school size. And yes, Alcoa won State that year, they had 502 students. They are also a powerhouse program in the state of Tennessee if you haven’t noticed. They can compete in any classification in the state year in and year out.
And your ignorance is clearly all that you have put on display for everyone to see.

  15. Bigpun54, this guy is a complete moron!! He clearly can’t understand, if Lewis Co. could pick the district or not like he says, they were either gonna be in 1 of 2 Regions. Either Region 5 or 6, they are geographically in the middle of both. So who cares. Either you more than likely face Forrest for the Region Championship or you face Parsons Riverside. He clearly don’t understand that and needs mental help. As far as their non district games, they can pic them. Argue that. Tougher non-district Schedule since there will be a couple teams not as strong in the district to ready yourself for the playoffs, Argue that. But you can literally be in one or two that match where your team is located for the regions.. it’s mind blowing that this guy is that infatuated with Lewis County. I mean, it makes you wonder if he’s in an institution at the moment over a High School Football forum lol
