  1. Wayne County completely dominated Moore County on both sides of the ball. Moore County defensive backs were making tackles all night long. There was no blocking by the Moore County line and therefore the Raiders never could  get there running game going. One of the worst efforts by any Moore County team in recent years. It was like Moore County just did not have there head in this game. They will have to improve next week or Fayetteville City will blow them out.

  2. Thanks for the best wishes Southtowner.  Seems like we played South Pittsburg last year or two years ago as a JV team.  Yes, that would be fun.

Watch out South Pittsburg!!! I believe that Fayetteville City High will become the South Pittsburg of the future. Another School with a small enrollment and a lot of athlete's.

  3. After the loss to Forrest, this game will be a gut check for the Raiders. Moore County will have 3 really tough games in a row after Wayne County.

The Raiders cannot be overlooking the Wildcats. Just look at the history between these two Schools. If the Raiders can put the Forrest game behind them, I say Moore County by at least 2 touchdowns.

  4. Until 1979 there was Fayetteville Central (A City High School). In 1979 Fayetteville, Flintville, Blanche, Boonshill high schools all consolidated to become Lincoln County High School. A little over 4 years ago the Fayetteville City School system decide to bring back a City High School. So thus Fayetteville City High School. Fayetteville Central were also called the Tigers. And like the new Fayetteville City High School would accept students from anywhere in Lincoln County.

(MTSC 3-0) (Fayetteville 2-0) So which team will lose there first game? Fayetteville has the home field advantage so I will give them the edge to get the win.

  5. I agree with GDIAB about the game. MC will have to play almost mistake free football on both sides of the ball. Forrest High graduate; head Coach Brian Coleman has rejuvenated the Forrest football program with his return to his alma mater. With another Forrest High graduate Brent Johns joining him as assistant coach.  Coach Coleman started his coaching career at Marshall County High under Mac McCurry. Assistant coach Brent Johns was also an assistant coach under McCurry. Moore County folks all remember Coach Mac. So look for Forrest to run the Mac McCurry schemes. GOOD LUCK RAIDERS!!!

  6. Cascade has gone from the big dog of 9A to the little dog of 12AA. They may do better than a lot of people think in 12AA. Just look at South Pittsburg's football teams, and there enrollment. With that said, I wonder what the rise of Marion County as a football power will have on South Pittsburg. Will some of the good Marion County talent be going to Marion County rather than South Pittsburg?.
