Both teams have improved during the season. It is really hard to beat the same team twice during the season, as Moore County found out in 1988 when they beat DCA in the regular season 34-20 and lost to them in the 1A State Championship game 21-20. Moore County will have to eliminate the penalties to have a change to win. Both teams will be fired up, should be a dandy!

Congratulations to the Raiders and there coaches on there undefeated regular season. Time to put some new paint on the field house and get ready for the playoffs. Some other undefeated regular season Raider teams that come to mind were 1952,1988,1991,1993,1995.

Well said: GO RAIDERS!!!the only thing that the raiders are thinking about this week is forrestt. a win this weeks gives a very "young" moore county team a 10-0 record and a region championship.
They have three returning seniors that played alot last season. The other six players are first year starters or help on special teams. The seniors are the glue and have made this team better with their attiutude and work ethic. their strength is that they have played the whole season one game at a time and who they play in the playoffs is the least of their worries. with 16 seniors graduating last year no one expected anything from this team this season and they have put together a nice run so far...they have never suggested that they are any where close to the powers that gordonsville, south pitt and greenback...they just want to get better each week

Looks like the Raiders are about ready to put some new paint on the field house. But like I said before Forrest can beat any team on a given night. Lets get ready and go to Chapel Hill and take care of those Rockets.

ESPN's Mason Kelley reported that Rehkow doesn't have a single scholarship offer from a major Division I school. At the moment the kicker reportedly only has a partial scholarship offer from Eastern Washington.
If that doesn't change almost immediately, college recruiting staffs just aren't paying attention.

The ball was so high and so long in the air they could have served drinks on that flight.
A better view of kick.

I lived in Fayetteville mid 1960's-late 1970's. Very good football traditon there. Lincoln County Students will be able to choose the School of there choice. Either Lincoln County are Fayetteville Central. I remember when Coach Palmer played for Fayetteville Central. He is a very good Coach and Fayetteville Central will do well. They will become the Cascade of the district.

I hope to see a good football game if the ref's will stay out of the game ,They the ref's as of lately have tried to control the game to sway it there way for the team they want to win, This absolutly suck's and TSSAA should come down on these so called ref's for this crap.
After Community played Cascade they felt just like the Moore County folks did about the officiating. There is no way to know if all the calls in both games were legit.

Moore County has two tough games comming up. Community showed just how good they really are by almost beating Cascade. And Forrest can beat any team on a given night. Moore County cannot overlook either team. Raiders lets keep the win streak going, and lets make it 10-0 and put some new paint with a new date on the field house.
GO RAIDERS!!!

Has anyone heard about Creed Rose? They were saying on radio last night, that he hurt his knee and they would be doing a MRI on him.
-
Yep he is bad luck for Cascade. Two previous appearances at Cascade games by Rudy have been disastrous. Hope he doesn't once again prove to be bad luck.
-
Will Cascade be moving to 3a next year? There enrollment would just put them in 3a. District 9 should be picking up Fayetteville Central as either a 1a or 2a team next year.
-
Not pretty but Moore County will take the 16-13 win against a good Cascade team.
WAY TO GO RAIDERS!!!
-
Good luck to the Raiders. 60 years ago 1952 Moore County had one the there best teams the 10-0-1 Raiders. Undefeated in regular season and a tie in the Crimson Clover Bowl against Manchester. Maybe this years Raiders will also be undefeated. GO RAIDERS!!!

Moore County plays Huntland tonight in one of the biggest rivalry games in the State. How did it get to be so big? Shirley Majors had coached at Moore County from 1944-46. In 1949 Moore County native Shirley Majors accepted the Huntland coaching job at the invitation of the Huntland principal Homer Laws who was also a Lynchburg native. In 1951 Huntland had won a State Championship and Johnny Majors lead the State in scoring. In 1952 Johnny Majors was a Senior at Huntland and was again leading the State in scoring. Moore County had probably there best team ever in 1952. Both teams went into the game undefeated. The game was played in Shelbyville because Lynchburg's stands would not hold the large crowd. Moore County won the game 13 to 0 and Moore County went undefeated in regular season and it was Huntland's only loss for the year. These factors led to the Moore County & Huntland rivalry.

And your point is????
Just wait and see. Just giving my opinion. He's never lost anywhere. Maybe S.P is afraid that some players might go back to Marion County if they start winning.
GDIAB I will argree with you, because I thought the same thing. Lets see what happens in a year or two when Mac starts winning.

Moore County Raider Fan says way to go Wayne County Wildcats!!!

Lol...No sir, you did not prove anything. You and several other Cornbread Capitol posters are the ones that slam any team that does not agree to play you. You said Tullahoma was scare to play your team. Not true. Just because a team won't play you, it does not mean they are scare. Good grief. Your coach admitted he was afraid to play Alcoa. Deal with it.
Good post wingman all of this is a bunch of BS. You priates better get ready for Franklin County instead of talking about Tullahoma. The Franklin County team is much better than you give them credit for. Their defense will shut your run game down. And as Tullahoma saw they can score a bunch.

Congrats to the Raiders on the big win!!!

I questioned some of the calls Thursday nite, but after watching the replay, I think most of the calls were legit, except one. I thought Tullahoma had recoverd a Columbia fumble and when the players were unstacked, Allen Starks of Tullahoma was at the bottom of the pile with the football and gave it to the officials, but they ruled Columbia had recovered the fumble. Columbia is a very good football team and made some big plays when they had to, but overall I thought Tullahoma was the better team that night. I hope the Cats will get another chance to play the Lions. If Tullahoma has that same kind of effort the rest of the season, they should make the playoffs. I was especially pleased with the defensive effort against one of the best offenses in the state. The offense moved the ball against a very good Columbia defense and the game plan was much more like the scheme used in the McGavock game which the Cats won with ease. I guess the question is will the Cats provide the same effort against Coffee Co in the Coffee Pot rivalry game next Friday nite in Manchester? Its homecoming also for the Red Raiders and they would love to beat Tullahoma and get their first win of the season. Last season in Tullahoma, the Cats had to rally from 22pts down in the 4th quarter to get a win over their longtime rivals.
It seems like officating always seems to rear its ugly head in these games. Remember last year on a QB bootleg, where it fooled the ref into blowing a early whistle. This years game seem to hinge on the questable pass interference in the back of the end zone. Did the Columbia receiver talk the offical into throwing a flag?

The Eagles fly into Lynchburg with a 2 and 0 record. Coach Smith is getting the Raiders offense back on track since the loss of there starting QB. The Raiders defense is looking better now too and they are hitting hard. This should be a good game.
GOOD LUCK TO THE RAIDERS!!!
