  1. As mentioned any one of these 4 wins the title

    IHS

    BHS

    FHS

    CHS

    * no team runs the table / goes undefeated league play

** Dickson Co and RHS will grab a few wins versus above top 4

    **** SHS ???

Any of those 4??? Lets see 42-10 28-21 35-14 That is the scores that the old rebels got destroyed by last year. NO WAY they compete for district. The days of Franklin having a chance are over. They let Clayton go to the boros and settled for what they got.

  2. Should be a very interesting district this year..Hillsboro is gone, replaced by Dickson Co.. Summitt is also in. Here is how I see it.

1.) Franklin-Year 2 of the Donnie Webb era. Returns a lot of very good skill position players, maybe the top QB in the district and good lineman up front.. After a year of rebuilding, is it time to jump back on top?

2.) Independence-Have arguably the top 2 players in the district in Wharton and Gauldin.. Anxious to see how they match up up front in year 1 of the Scott blade era. He will coach them up well. How they hold up in the trenches will determine their season

3.) Centennial- This is year 3 of Rector, has most of his kids now. Athletic and well coached team. Moving up to 6A this year, shouldn't be too much different for them though. As with Indy, I worry about how they will hold up in the trenches.. Sanders/Hall/Wisnowski are very good skill guys to be able to throw it to. Who will be their qb?

4.) Brentwood- Wouldn't surprise me to see them finish higher. Another new coach and lost a lot of talent from last years squad is why i have them 4th. Still have the Maher boys as well as the Marsalis kid and schumpert.. Will Woodward run the wing-t or open it up a little?

5.) Ravenwood- New coach in Hester who I think will do a good job there. Came on strong at the end of the season. Couple that with the new stud transfer WR they have, and its been very positive for the Raptors this offseason. I think they will be looking at a .500 season at least.. Things are looking up in Raptor Land

    6. Dickson Co- lost a lot from last years team I'm told. They will be physical and have some athletes, but they will be in a much tougher district then the one they were in..

7.) Summit- Making the transition to the upper echelon of districts will not be smooth for summit this year. They have some good athletes and I think their future is bright.. We will see how things go, I wouldn't be shocked if they upset one of the big 4 in this district though.

You are joking right????? :roflol: Franklin winning district???? I really doubt that!!!

Centennial - The best coach and best talent--your right wait til Dodson and Deon runs over some of these boys

Brentwood- Still BHS even with another new coach

Independence- Have the 2 best players

Dickson-always wins so they should here also

Ravenwood- new coach and new talent also

Franklin- Rebels no longer have Freedom or the players playing at grandma's house

Summit- Who knows they might beat Franklin

  3. One good year and it all goes to your head. I'd probably say that CHS could answer the bottom of the barrel question better than Franklin since that was the first losing season in something like 10 years and they're 1-15 all time against Centennial. But I wasn't making the comment to have a "coachT battle" simply making a joke....aparently over your head, which seems to be hard since it's so large.

Back to my original question, does anyone have the final Dickson schedule. I'm sure more people are curious

No answer to my question because you know what is up and it is not Franklin

  4. I cant wait for spring practice so we can show all the doubters what the season will be like. The best thing going for Centennial is that Rector will not allow Brentwood or Independence to beat us that bad again. He has the cougars working hard and determined to not let that happen again. The rest of the teams are just not as good, so that is why I see Centennial coming out on top this year in district.

    Centennial

    Brentwood

    Independence

    Dickson Co

    Ravenwood

    Franklin/Summit

That would be so funny. Franklin and Summit loser gets last place.

Last two years who has gone further in playoffs?? You know the answer. Keep eating the worms that crawl on the bottom.

  6. Does anyone have Dickson County's final schedule? It looks like all their district games have been entered, but none of the none district.

I guess really it doesn't matter though. According to Cougar12345 everyone should bow down now and accept their loss to Centennial.

Well from looking at your posts, you must be a mighty Rebel fan. How's it feel being the bottom feeder of the district? You are correct so go ahead and bow down now.

  7. I know all of your best players were mostly seniors. Tomlin/Lee/Fleming/ the TE/ and #8 were your best players for a reason. How do you replace all of that talent? And come out better.. That's really what I'm asking.. You have only listed 2 guys who are going to take their spots.

I guess you can have your opinion. IMO we will be better this year. Hard work and better coaching is the reason.

  8. I have no allegiance to any team. I'm just an old fart who enjoys watching high school football. I do think Indy wins 11AAA and I wouldn't be surprised if Franklin finished pretty high in the standings. The rebels were really young last year

Indy killed us last year and coach rector wont let that happen again. Franklin got worse as the year went on so how they going to be better this year is a joke. Highlife do you know how many seniors we lost last year? Not many old fart.

  9. First, I never try to hid who I are...very easy to find. Second , Good Luck to the Cougars next season, Hogan has some very good friends on that staff. Third, DW and the Rebels will be just fine next season.

We will see, but still looks like big mistake your Rebels made. Who will you beat? Summit?

  10. Wasn't this supposed to be Centennials year to win the district? This was supposed to be their best team in school history I thought. How did that go? They finished fourth behind Brentwood/Indy/Hillsboro. So replacing Tomlin/Lee/Fleming/Big TE and all of a sudden they are going to be better? Those four were dang good players. I have no ill feelings towards centennial what so ever. I think they are a darn good program and are getting very well coached. I just don't see them winning that district this year..

We won a playoff game. Just like BHS and Hillsboro. You a Hillsboro fan? We will be even better this year.

  11. Dickson County's 1st game in their new district next year will change your predictions real fast.

I will speak in code that you like to speak in. YOU ARE @#$%^&. Your mighty Rebels won 4 games last year after YOU got rid of CC to get DW. DW can not win big games so what makes you think Dickson 1st game will change predictions? We all know who you are and that you coach for FHS. You might need to do some work to make more than 4 wins this year. Let me see. A team coached by DW and MW will never beat BR and the cougars. So since DC is nicknamed the cougars to then I will go with DC.

Top four in district goes to CHS, BHS, IHS, DCHS. Tell the Rebels to go play with Ravenwood and Summit.

  12. I never said it was going to be easy. I was pointing out the fact that CHS has more going for it than any other Wilco district team heading into next season. I'll take great talent (which Sanders and Dodson are) and great coaching every time when predicting the future. But following your train of thought; if it's not that easy then why do you think Brentwood is going to replace Winfree and Green (along with their next four leading rushers) so easily? (It's possible just exposing your flawed logic) Is Indy really going to replace Swayze and Wade so easily as well? VW can't do it all with only one returning lineman paving the way. That is if he stays. And how is Indy going to stop running offenses when they have to replace almost the entire front 7 on D with mostly undersized sophomores? This is the season the split with Summit really hurts them. It's why Dyson was sending out resumes last summer. Is the Franklin combo experienced enough to overcome the better athletic talent at CHS? Maybe if they had superior coaching. Webb is good but I wouldn't call him superior to Rector.

It appears that your myopic view of high school football is that a program is incapable of replacing talent and wins future games based on past performances and reputations and not on the changing landscape. If you think that Centennial has peaked and will all of the sudden return to the pre-Rector days when they were poorly coached and weren't getting the best middle school players in the county... then you don't know much about football. Just being a realist.

We have the talent. We have the coaching. CHS finishes first this year. The days of the Rebels are over.

  13. Don't overlook Centennial. I know there are haters about them but I think this is the year Rector makes it happen for the Cougars. He lost four all district players but only 12 total seniors. The new QB will be Prime Time as his name suggests and they have a rising sophomore RB with the initials TD who will be scoring a lot of those this season. The kid is big, strong, and very fast. Rector has the benefit of a good number of linemen coming back, another year of the kids playing in his well coached organized system, and all the Freedom Middle players under his domain. They are my pick to win it all.

I agree!!!! I see the district next year like this.

    1 Centennial

    2 Brentwood

    3 Indy

    4 Dickson

    5 Ravenwood

    6 Franklin

    7 Summit

Boy how the mighty Rebels have fallen down. Big mistake changing coaches.

  14. There is no way CHS beats BHS. CHS has a long way to go to even be compared to Brentwood. The wing-t will manhandle the porus Centennial defense.

Franklin beats RHS by that much because Ravenwood is that bad. Wait until you see them.

Well we will see but I think Rector makes the game close and still believe my cougars can win and will not lose three in a row. Rector is the man and he will not allow that to happen.

I also saw Franklin and if Franklin beats anybody then that team is not very good. Cougars dominated FHS!! Brentwood and Independence will put 40 on Franklin and they may not score for both games. If Ravenwood gets destroyed by FHS then they ARE BAD

  15. Indy is not as bad as the score against Brentwood indicates, just like CHS is not as bad as the score against Indy indicates. Brentwood will roll big against CHS as Centennial has shown weaknesses agains the run, especially wing-t and deception style run games. Centennial has long range, a quick strike passing game, if the qb gets a little time. If Brentwood can stay in his face, they can shut down the pass game.

    Brentwood wins 35-10

    Franklin destroys Ravenwood, 54 - 9

    Indy over Hillsboro 28-13

Agree with some of your statements but Rector gets it right this week and the Cougars WILL NOT lose three in a row.

    Indy will beat Hillsboro

I think Franklin beats Ravenwood but how do they score 54 points? Franklin and Ravenwood are the two worst teams so that will be closer than you have.

  16. Cougars win district 11-AAA easily this year beating Brentwood and Franklin for the first time ever and rolling over Hillsboro, Independence, and Ravenwood.

    District finishes this way IMO

    Centennial

    Brentwood

    Hillsboro

    Independence

    Franklin

    Ravenwood

Sorry Rebels but you are no longer worried about! Have fun with your battle with Ravenwood for fifth place. :roflol:

  17. Well after hearing about the scrimmages and listening to people on here talk I say it is shaping up like this

Centennial is team to beat like I said best coach

Brentwood close second I for one cant wait for that game

three four and five are Independence Franklin and Hillsboro in any order

    Ravenwood last

  18. I saw some of the Franklin and Glencliff scrimmage Friday night. Glencliff would be on offense and gain very little each play, but a couple of times they broke a long run for a score. They were able to go deep also but failed to make the catch. Hillsboro ,like all metro schools will have big play capability and this makes them dangerous.

Hey runtheball, what did you think of Franklin as a whole? What they look like on offense?

  19. Rumor that just came my way is that CHS traveled to Mt. Juliet and beat the Bears 42-0 in a woodshed whipping. Can anyone confirm this? Where are the Cougar folks on this one? Trying to keep it quiet for a sneak attack this fall? :)

Is this is true, its pretty impressive. Even though Mt. Juliet lost a lot of seniors, they are always big, tough, and well coached.

Woodshed indead!!! Won't be a sneak attack! We are coming and coming loud!

  20. Rector = very good coach, but IMO not the best

Webb= very good defensive coach...we don't know yet how he will be as a head coach, my guess he'll do just fine

Clayton= good offensive coach, how he handles Hillsboro will be interesting

dyson= given time will be very good, he did win the district last year

    Pemberton=?

    Ravenwood =year two?

I played for Indy in 06 and 07, IMO the best coach in this entire area is the defensive coordinator at Indy . Coach Cieslak.

Well in my opinion he is tops in this group and way better than all the rest. Clayton is the next best by far. I not sure on the new guy at Brentwood but he has won a state championship so above the rest. The other three are just average coaches at best.

  21. Brentwood will be the team to beat this year. They will go undefeated in the district. Everyone else will fight for second. They will get a big boost from Pemberton's willingness to do whatever it takes to win vs. Crawford's side agendas (Playing coaches' sons, playing upperclassmen instead of equally or more talented underclassmen). It's going to be a fun year for us Bruin fans.

might be fun but I sure do not understand the crawford bashing. With him at Brentwood I would have picked them first but with him gone I say the Cougars get it done.
