You are right. Every team has a bad game now and then. But you need to schedule some games with some tougher competition in order to be able to compete at state. Your tournament schedule was very weak. Wins against weak teams don't mean much.
What!!! Maybe we are not looking at the same schedules. Camden, South Fulton, Milan, Dyersburg, Brighton, Germantown ETC... (all wins by the way).
Don't worry AandO, I think for most of the district, we all recognize Covington as the powerhouse; they do it year in and year out. They have some great players and unlike many schools, have an actual softball coach, no disrespect to any of the other coaches in the district. Their coach wasn't someone that coached another sport and just decided to give softball a try like so many. That is not to say Covington can't be beat, but you have to be on your A game to do it thats all.
