NBC, you're exactly right. The kids need a coach and a definite leader. Coach Holliday will survive whether at Meigs or somewhere else. Good luck to the new coach. I saw them in their spring scrimmage. They did look pretty good. The numbers seemed up from last year.

My reliable source confirmed that Coach Holliday did interview last Thursday. Supposedly the position has been offered to the old Chattanooga Central coach that was there before Barger. Who is he?

I heard from a very reliable source that Holliday is actually supposed to interview this week for the head coach position.

Holliday said after the scrimmage last week that he was going to go talk to Baker. He said the main priority for everybody should be the kids.

Throw, I agree with you completely. I think Holliday would be a great hire. He loves being there. He married a Decatur gal so that makes it alot more difficult to leave. I went by practice earlier this week. There are more kids out than I've seen in years. Holliday is already running everything as far as the team goes so Baker should go ahead and make it official and name Holliday as the new head coach. The kids love him. The parents love him. He worked wonders for years with the juniors that play on Saturdays. I think all the parents should call Baker on Monday morning and voice your support for Holliday. The only people suffering since there's not a true head coach in place are the kids.

Who will be the new Bradley girls' coach? Is it Jason Reuter? He's a class guy. If it's him that would be a great hire.

Does anybody how many kids came out Monday for Spring Practice? Last I heard they gave out 28 or 29 sets of equipment last week, not counting the baseball players.

When a new coach is hired, how many assistants will he be able to hire in addition to Coach Harris and Coach Holliday?

Coach Holliday obviously wants to be there or he would have left already. The kids and parents love him. I think they need to give him a shot. He has a great football mind and a desire to win. It certainly couldn't hurt anything to let him try it.

Have there been any developments regarding a new hire or interviews? It's been awfully quiet on here for a several days.

On March 22, 2010, the head coaching position at Meigs County was posted on TSSAA.org. It's still on there as of tonight. No teaching position is listed though.
